Another Slap

Not wasting any time with all the rabble running like wild chickens around the entrance of the city, Arthur just focuses on the battalion of soldiers that surround him. Each man perspires sweat as they nervously twitch in his presence. Their fear is obvious to Arthur as he can not only see it but feel it.

Not a single one seems confident or brave in this situation; each person would rather be anywhere else but here at this moment. They can tell that this humanoid monster in front of them is dangerous and not something they can handle.

"Hloth la lindre!" The captain of the guard yells out to his men. Yet whatever he said had little effect as the men stayed the same, with no change in confidence or bravery. With even the captain himself cursing to himself under his breath.

The captain then steps out in front of all his men, walking slowly but steadily towards Arthur, his gaze cautious yet firm. He stops a few paces away, his weapon still in its sheath as he does not wish to show any intention of threat so as not to end up as the other guy outside the city.

"Wkatha da usth waste?" The captain of the guard asks, trying to get his meaning across to the monster in front of him that at least seems intelligent, even if it does not speak their language.

"Yeah, I don't know what you're saying yet. Give me a little bit, and I should have it understood." Arthur replied back, although he knew they wouldn't understand a word. He mainly said it to ease his own mind.

"Gushna!" Many people exclaim, including the guard captain. After all, that is a completely unknown language to them, which should be impossible in this world. Even if it was the language of beasts, they would recognize the language, even if they did not understand it.

The guard captain takes a deep breath as he calms himself and steels his expression as he suddenly decides to do something. Even if knowing this could turn back, he felt that this was the best decision he could make in this situation. And for him, that was turning over the responsibility to someone more important than himself.

So with that decision made, he steps forward slowly and cautiously towards the unknown beast before him. " Fusha nem." he says, trying to motion for the creature to follow him. He also motions for his guardsmen to open up a path.

Arthur, as if somewhat understanding him and his intentions, follows along behind this guard captain as he leads the way. And at that moment, the guard captain lets loose a small sigh of relief as he leads the way deeper into the city with an unknown monster following behind him, and further behind that, there is his battalion of troops also coming along, just in case.

However, the longer the journey, the more quiet it gets, making everyone even more nervous, not knowing if something could happen at any given moment. But alas, nothing happens the entire journey, and before they knew it, they were before the governor's office. Even though the journey was only half an hour, it felt like an eternity to everyone who took it, except Arthur, who was just casually viewing the city as he walked.

The guard captain further leads  Arthur and a contingent of guards into the office building, taking a stairwell up to the second floor into a room on the far right of the building.

"Sir Governor, I decided to bring this, uh..." The guard captain begins to say as he walks into the office, followed by Arthur but then stops to think before he continues. "person for you to figure out what to do with. I believe you are the only one that can decide."

The governor, who is a balding middle-aged man, clearly overweight and has an uptight stern face, looks towards the guard captain with clear confusion upon said face.

"Huh, what the hell is going on, captain? I heard some dangerous entity is at the city gates. Shouldn't you be dealing with that instead of bringing over some unknown vagrant?" The governor asks continuously, with his confusion growing into anger.

"Yes, governor, this is the dangerous entity, who I have decided is out of my purview to deal with. So I brought him here for you as you are the highest decided authority in the city." The guard captain states without breaking a sweat.

"W-wwhat the hell?! Captain Bavrain, you dare to bring such a dangerous being near me and to my office! What if it decided to kill me?!" The governor backs up into the wall in a sudden fright at the thought of danger and death.

"It is out of my hands now, governor." Captain Bavrain states plainly, as he steps back but stays in the room.

But before anything else can happen, another man comes running into the room in a hurry. This man, dressed and groomed well, with above average height and looks, comes in yelling in a rush.

"Sir Governor, be careful; this person is very dangerous. You should let me handle it, sir." This man who suddenly became the bravest man in the city says as if pleading with the governor.

"Ahem, Minister Alvez, I will handle it. My way." The governor gaining his bearing and straightening his clothes, says upon seeing this man come running inside.

{I can't afford to let others gain power over me, so I need to handle the situation even if I don't want to. Fuck me.} Are the thoughts that are going through the governor's head as he slowly makes his way in front of Arthur while everyone else waits with a bated breath.

"Alright, listen here, beast. I have heard that you came to this city and even killed a guard. So no matter what reason brought your accursed existence here, I demand that you leave immediately. You may be dangerous, but I believe with the full might of my guardsmen, you can be brought to heel should you try anything. You understand me?" The Governor says with overconfidence laced in his voice. At the same time, he looks over towards the guard captain with an act now look, almost proud of himself.

"No." Arthur says in their language after finally having grasped it once he came into the office. He has been listening in and gathering information from their conversations after having learned their language. But he doesn't like the man before him, as he reeks of fear and cowardice yet acts like nothing will hurt him. As if everyone will save him.

So Arthur did what he felt like doing once this man finished speaking and threatening him. He slapped him. He killed him.

He left nothing but a newly painted wall that was once blue but is now red. Nothing else left but the blood that painted the wall behind the governor. And the wall wasn't even dripping. The blood was firmly implanted onto the wall, truly as if paint.

"Now, who can I talk to without being threatened or demanded?" Arthur asks, turning to the two flabbergasted individuals in the room.
