Skyrim x Witcher: Tale of Chronicle Explorers

— Excitement courses through William as he looks at the two physical game discs he just purchased. It's been a while since he heard his friends rave about the games, and they've already completed them on their own. Notably, the game itself is already 8 years old. After switching on his computer, his attention wanders to the numerous novels and manga lining the bookshelves, with a particular focus on the sections dedicated to BNHA and AOT. Soon, his eyes shift to the side, where the Witcher 3 game is neatly stored. Once he boots up the computer, he proceeds to install the game and immerses himself in it day and night, taking advantage of the summer holiday. However, on a fateful day, while strolling through the streets of his hometown, he finds his gaze drawn to the sky. A bright yellow light begins to intensify, capturing his attention, and before he can even process a final thought, William engulfed in a sudden cold darkness. — Extra Tags: Slow Paced, Magical Research, Divination, Skyrim, Witcher 3, World Not Revolving Around MC, Friendship, Political War, Minimum Presence of Deity. Possible Future Tags: Adventure, Action, Tomb Diving, High Rock, Nilfgaardian, Historic Perseverance, Developing Own Magic. My main focus in this fanfic is to fleshed-out the lore of both of this franchise (Skyrim and Witcher), and how the culture of these two people there is interacting with one another. If you search for MC that solely focused in achieving divinity, this fanfic is not it. But I also know that I will most likely put disasters upon disasters after another to make the world more interesting. So, even though power level is not my focused, I will still make the MC to improve himself further. As to why he wants to improve himself, that you must read. Since, it counts as spoiler by my standard of seeing things. —   For now, the chapters are shortened to be 1000 words so that I can collect advance chapters. —

They Talked?

Arriving at his home and after placing the books that he brought from the Arcanaeum on the shelves in the living room, William finally started reading them. He began with the first one that Margarita had suggested to him, as he essentially wanted a key to change the hypothesis of upgrading his State of Resonance into the State of Transcendence.

However, no matter how many books he skimmed, he was not able to find any reference at all to find an answer to his ongoing question.

The closest thing that he can get on how to advance his state is from the book that Scholars of Julianos wrote about. In there, they stated that if someone wants to advance their existence to become more enlightened, it is to know the truth behind the laws that they have been observing so that the wisdom that person gains will make them more wise and understanding.

Although a little bit ambiguous at first, the broad outline diagram of the construct on how their version of the State of Resonance is little bit similar to his own when he drew his state spell diagram on the piece of parchment.

So, looking at the second phase of this Julianos scholar's form of sensing the Magicka, he then tries to find the similar formula that has been used by his State of Resonance. And fifteen minutes later, looking back and forth, sketching the similarity between these two methods, the living room table is filled with all kinds of drawings of runic non-rational mathematical diagrams.

Taking the book suggested by the Alteration professor from the Spell Integrity class, he then starts to translate what that formula meant if written in philosophical terms. And twenty minutes later, he got the answers in the form of a bunch of single words that, when put together, tell the story of his State of Resonance connected to the Magicka all around him.

"I know you. Your people are unique. Brother is with you. Brother is happy. Brother says thank you. Brother enjoys adventure together. Welcome to our new home, Our Holder."

"..."

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

Even after a couple of minutes deducing what it meant, he still has no clue what this word represents or what it entails. More specifically, he has an idea, but it seems too far-fetched for the current him to possess this knowledge. He just doesn't want to become Dwemered simply because he's stepping out of his line, possibly attracting extra attention that he is sure one or two of these gods have already figured out his identity.

One thing is for sure, though. If he wants these scrolls or Magicka to help him further in his enlightenment, he must understand what they mean on an instinctual level, to the point where he can grasp it in just a split second when he sees the diagram of his State of Resonance spell.

The reason being is that, similar to what the Alteration professor stated when he asked him how to improve the construct or framework of the spell, or similar to the advice given in the first two books he read when he just arrived at the College, the diagram of any kind of spell is not a fixed structure like his science from his first life but constantly changing depending on the personal factors of the individual.

So, taking his books on the Transcendence spell, William wrote, "When entering the state in which your own chosen method to sense the form of Magicka, which in this case the author uses State of Resonance, the caster must have an instinctive understanding of the runic diagram formula of that state construct. Because, the faster it is the speed of your reading, the quicker the caster's Magicka regeneration will be," in the theory section of the book.

[Next day, morning.]

Yawning and waking up from his bed, he then hears a knock from downstairs in the living room. Quickly changing his attire from the nightclothes into his robe and inner clothing from yesterday, he proceeds to go down to answer the door. Opening the door and seeing Vivienne and Sylvia Anna on the other side, he just says, "Hey yo, what's up?"

Looking William up and down, Sylvia then lets out a tsk sound and glances at Vivienne, who also has bags under her eyes, "The two of you are cut from the same cloth. Barely a day in, but already like taking the test for Journeyman title."

Stepping back and looking at the mirror near the entrance door, William sees the bags under his eyes and his messy hair that already has one or two gray colors in there. Turning back to Sylvia, who has already entered his quarters like she owns the place, which she does, William yawns again and asks, "So, what's up?"

Starting the fireplace with her Igni magic and standing there, trying to look cool, she only commands, "Sit."

Already used to her dictatorial attitude since she is technically a princess and brought up to be like that, especially after talking to her yesterday, he sits beside Vivienne and makes himself a cup of coffee. After thinking for a bit, he also makes another for his friend who is still sleepy, with her head from time to time almost falling into the table.

Pouring some of the coffee that he already brewed for a couple of minutes into his and Vivienne's cup, William then finally hears what this drama queen has to say after staying silent for too long.

"My sister's empire wants to overthrow the College of Winterhold by exposing the deep secret behind the Great Collapse."

"..."

"..."

"Oh for god's sake! Will this timeline leave me the fucking alone?!"

Startled by the sudden shout, both of them jump from their contemplation in different fashions. One of them splatters the coffee all over the table, while the other quickly tries to fix her broken poker-intimidated face.

Breathing in, breathing out, William finally able to calm down and enter the State of Resonance, saying, "Sorry, continue."

"..."

"Anyway… My sister's empire, or more correctly the Nilfgaardian empire that has a grasp on my sister's duchy, wants to spread information that will result in the collapse of the College of Winterhold. On the fact that they are not satisfied with the political discussion happening yesterday evening."

"..."

"You two probably didn't know because you guys are just new to being here, but let me tell you a story on account of both of you being friends of my two dearest individuals. Long before the Second Conjunction is happening, and long before we discovered each other's neighboring continent, there was a Breton named Augur of Dunlain…"
