104. Failures

A sorrowful night befalls the villagers when a woman was found lifeless on the roadside. Differently, she was skinned and was missing all of her fingers. Both of her eyes were gouged out, too, as the heart was also missing.

She was the first victim of the young boy after acquiring the grimoire of the first magician. The book was so decrepitly old its pages were ripped. 

Its context was almost unreadable but, with the help of the man who 

killed the young boy's mother.

It was not just new knowledge the young boy acquired but also the ability to use dark magic. The woman he killed and took its fingers was the woman who did not try to avoid the young boy. She was so sweet and gentle. She would often talk to him whenever she had the time to do so. 

However, all of it stopped when the villagers admonished the woman.
