"What!?" Seph and None yelled simultaneously, shocked at Aaron's lack of concern on the subject. "That thing wants to possess your body, and you don't even want to try and stop it?!" Seph continued as Aaron looked directly into his eyes, and all Seph could see was a void of light. It was like no light could escape his iris.
"Listen. I'm not just going to let Soul take control, but if I kill him, I don't know what'll happen. He might just respawn, or he might die forever, and my Soul could die with him. I don't want to test either theory. If the latter one is true, then I will be lost to the Void. The Void is where people with destroyed Souls go, and they are left to hang around in the same spot forever. I'm not sure if it's real, but given how much stuff from comic books and novels has come true in my lifetime, I'm putting my bet on this place existing." Aaron explained, a visualisation of his Soul appearing in front of them.
It was almost entirely black, but there was one streak of grey that could be seen from all angles, and it just seemed so out of place." This is a visualisation of my Soul. At least, this is what my Soul is projected to look like. I have no idea what it actually looks like, but if my body says this is my Soul, I'll trust it." Aaron stated, the Soul rotating in place. "This is my soul, and you can just assume this black part to be Soul, also known as the Monster of my Soul."
"Wait a second...why is the monster in your Soul called Soul? Doesn't that get confusing when you're trying to talk to it?" None asked, confused. "Well, that's what IT wanted to be called, so I'm not going to argue with it. Its name doesn't matter anyway, at least to him." Aaron explained, getting back to the explanation. "He's my Soul. His name is Soul. Simple enough. I dislike how he acts, but I can't control him. He has his own consciousness. At least, it seems like a conscious mind, but I digress. Now, we've been here for long enough. It's time to go back to the physical world." Aaron finished, standing up straight. "However you want to do that is fine with me, although I think I know how we are meant to do this." Aaron said, extending his hands once more. "I'm wide open for an attack. It may not have been necessary a few minutes ago, but now, I'm pretty sure it's what we need to do to get out of here."
"You're right, Aaron. This might hurt a bit, so I ask that you do not scream." None bluntly replied, lifting up his katana as his blade glowed cyan. "I need to really concentrate if I want to make sure this works." He explained as Aaron smiled. "I won't scream. I haven't felt actual pain in a while. Even if I do, it'll be a welcome but unpleasant experience. Give it your best shot!" He exclaimed as None took this chance to attack Aaron. The sword sliced through his body as it leaked blood. This was a human illusion of him, so his body was that of a human.
His torso slid away from his legs, blood trailing from it. Blood ran from the body, and Aaron's eyes were wide open. "Well. This is a surprise." He bluntly commented, looking at his legs fall to the ground. "I thought I would have died from that."
"Honestly, we probably should have expected this to happen." Seph sighed, holding HIS sword above Aaron's head. "Should I stab you here instead?" He asked, making sure he was going to hit the right place. "Yeah, that might be the best way to kill me, as I am apparently human here," Aaron responded, staring directly at the tip of the blade, watching as None placed his katana beside it, both of them planning to stab him. He was curious as to how what it would be like to see your death incoming. "Go ahead. I'm waiting for you to stab it downwards. Don't worry, I won't be mad at you."
"See you out in the real world." None commented, and he and Seph pushed their blades down at the same time. Aaron felt the swords penetrate his skull as the cold metal blades pushed through his head. He let a smirk run across his face as he looked the pair in their eyes. "See you out on the other side," Aaron smirked as his body cracked, becoming nothing more than dust in the illusion, and that's when the fake world ended, fading into nothingness. The illusion had been destroyed.
Aaron's mind had gone back, and his eyes had been closed, but when he opened them up, he realised that he was falling. He looked down at his body, realising it was that of the black, monstrous skeleton. He smiled as he continued to descend, his body wracked with fatigue, but he pushed through it. He wanted to make None and Seph feel rewarded for their attempts and their success. Aaron's back crashed against the ground, creating a large dust eruption. It wasn't harmful, and he didn't kill anyone doing it, but he wanted to make sure it was as rewarding as possible for the pair. He then slowly transformed his body back into his casual form, dealing with his fatigue as he went along. He still had his suit. Aaron always wore a suit. No need to question it, at least if you realised it.
Aaron's body was battered once he returned to his usual body, bruises and stab wounds all over his body, his suit torn in places. That happened because he made the suit while transforming himself, so it took on the damage he had sustained, giving it just an extra layer of believability. It really looked as if he had been injured badly, not to mention the two open wounds that went through his skull, but he couldn't be bothered to deal with them. His fatigue was too much. Being in an illusion in your own mind was tiring. He closed his eyes, and with a smile, fell unconscious, his entire body going limp.
However, before he fell asleep, he said one thing. "Soul, fuck off for a bit, please." Which got no response, so he assumed that Soul was asleep. Aaron was now unconscious, and he wouldn't wake up.
At least for a few hours.
