Everyone just stared at Aaron's body in shock, as those words were the first out of his mouth. "Aaron, that is such a weird thing to say the second you come back from whatever the fuck just happened." Oliver deadpanned, Aaron standing up as he said that. "The kid's dead. He wasn't as strong as I was, so he died where he entered. In my head." Aaron explained, walking over to the child's standstill body. Aaron tapped it on the head, watching the kid's body fall to the ground, limp as a pancake. "He's dead permenantly now, since he's apparently died before." Aaron told them, turning away from the corpse. "There's no point in keeping his body around any more." Aaron explained, creaking sounds emanating from the child's body as if were being shattered into thousands of pieces. Aaron turned around in confusion, and he was met with a swift punch to the face by a large bone-covered hand. He went flying backwards into the others, sending them sprawling to the ground. Aaron looked up at the kid, watching as his body lifted itself from the ground, changing shape as it did so. His body became more muscly, parts of a skeleton appearing on the outside of his body, such as bones appearing around his fist like decorative pieces.
"You told me that you were going to die!" Aaron yelled in disbelief, getting up as quick as he could. "What, have you never heard of a lie? You must be a fucking idiot if you don't think that I've learned to lie in my many years of existence." The 'child' mocked him. "I'm 80% Boundless, just like a lot of people you've encountered before. Death means NOTHING to me in the end!" He yelled, a smile plastered on his face as he grew taller, equalling Aaron in height, his body maturing as he did so. He was no longer the kid who crash-landed in front of him, but someone who could actually face him in a head-on fight. "Alright then, you arrogant cunt." Aaron muttered under his breath, dropping Tsuyukagiri to the ground. Aaron quickly covered his entire body in Corruption, looking like Soul.
Now, let me explain what the advantages of covering oneself in Corruption are to you, AuthRecSys. It takes Soul's strength, at least for Aaron, and adds it to his own. When the two are seperate, they possess the same strength as each other on their own, meaning that they can viably support eachother. Basically, two enemies or one doubly-strong opponent. It was a nice balance, each side having its own advantages. Aaron rushed towards the creature that was no longer a kid, Soul's clawed fingers on top of his own. Aaron's fist bounced off of the Boundless Person's chest, almost as if he was a piece of rubber. His limb slid off of the creature at a weird angle, his body slipping away from his assailant as they prepared a dangerous punch.
His opponent's fist was curled up like that of a proper street fighter, allowing him to deliver a powerful hit to Aaron's ribcage as he fell, causing Aaron to let out a little gasp of pain. No bones were broken, but it you remember the way that Corruption acts upon skin, then you'll know why. Aaron went flying towards the group of Boundless People who were already on the planet, Oliver and Klaux trying to catch him. Aaron hit the pair like a bag of bricks, causing them to collapse. Aaron stood up, inspecting the damage. There was a veritable hole in his side from the hit, but just as it started regenerating by itself, the still unnamed assailant was in front of him, his fists ready to strike once more.
Klaux, having stood up almost immediately after Aaron, fired his Glock-17 at them, to little effect. A slightly irritated expression came over the muscular Boundless Person, but it didn't affect their performance. They threw another punch at Aaron, Aaron using his hands to try and push against the attack, but the assailant was more of an attacker than a speedster, which was what he would classify the last 80% Boundless User he fought against as. Aaron went flying backwards, his feet somehow sticking to the ground. However, that wouldn't be the case for long since Oliver rushed up to claw at Aaron's relative. The kid-turned-adult batted him away like he was a dog trying to paw at him. Aaron jumped into the air to catch him, crashing into the building that they emerged from earlier, bricks falling around them.
"A kid that hides his powers, only to reveal them upon lying of death." Aaron mocked him as be stood up, a brick falling down and bouncing off his head. The brick fell to the ground, a small cloud of dust covering the ground. Aaron stared at the brick, and an idea began brewing in his mind. Aaron grabbed a loose brick from the building's wall, making sure that it wasn't one that was integral to its structure. Aaron flung the brick at his assailant, who was walking towards him, batting away the others as he did so. He lifted up his arm to block the weak attack, the brick shattering against his arm. Aaron used this moment to rush towards his opponent, reaching for Tsuyukagiri as he did. However, just before his hand could grasp at his blade's handle, Aaron was slammed into the ground by the crushing force that was his relative. The muscular hand of his relative flattened his body to the floor, Aaron's body squishing down to accommodate the sudden impact. He was using Corruption to spread his mass out of a wider area, keeping his main limbs in the same shape as before, allowing him to grab the sword as a result. Aaron swung his almost-stretchy arm at his attacker, slicing off their head in the process. Aaron watched as his assailant's body fell to the floor, a sigh of relief coming from his black and pink mouth. However, this wouldn't be the end of his troubles.
Well, it could be.
The severed head flew through the air, a surprised expression on its face, using its final trick in an attempt to either save its life or end Aaron's. The two were dragged into an area of nothing, like Aaron's void in his head. However, this was the one owned by his attacker. As Aaron prepared another strike, the sound of ignition swept through the air, flames sparking behind him. As he turned around to look at the oncoming fire, the head quickly recreated its body, striking Aaron in the back, pulling his head off his shoulders. Soul quickly left Aaron's body in an attempt to fuse the pieces together, but Aaron's "relation" stopped that from happening. After all, it was his void that he could do whatever he wanted with.
"You got too big for your boots, Aaron. Now you have to suffer the death of a dishonourable warrior." He said, his body shrinking back down to its kid-like stature. Aaron was just left there, slowly dying as he kept thinking of ways to get out of this situation. However, before he could figure out a plan, his eyes went lifeless, and he saw nothing but black. This was the end of Aaron Stone's life.
Sorry lads for the absence, I was taking a break over Easter to have fun with my family and I am studying for my Junior Cycle exams. I hope you enjoyed this novel, and who knows?
Maybe I might bring it back soon.
