Whispers ran rampant throughout the crowd, informing people that someone new had appeared in the city. They were holding a child in their arms. It was almost like a wildfire had begun to spread, alerting everyone of Soul's existence. It was scary to witness this event, as someone new meant for the citizens to have a chance to show them everything they had to offer.
Soul watched as hundreds of extra Beastpeople came flooding in from the city. "Wow. It's almost like magic, considering how fast you guys are trying to grab my attention." Soul said to himself, wondering what they were planning on doing to him. However, as the crowds grew, the number of stares grew in turn. It was startling, as they were all either looking at Oki or his arm, and it wasn't the most welcoming experience, to say the least. "Please, listen to me instead of staring," Soul asked of them, releasing an aura that caused them to back away slightly.
It was an aura of fear. Soul still didn't know Aaron's body managed to do it, but he could create a wave of sudden emotion that would have a different effect depending on what he did with it. He could, for instance, create an angry aura and scare everyone away, or one that made Soul menacing. There were a lot of ways that he could use the powers that Aaron controlled, but he needed to learn how to use them himself.
Soul looked around, a somewhat tired look on his face. The people there were apparently scared of him now, causing him to sigh. Soul gently laid Oki on the ground before placing people's attention on the hole in his chest by calmly pointing at it with his hand. "This is what happened to the child I was accompanying. Do you see what the monsters in your area can do to people? You set up barriers to keep them out, and you fly over without thinking twice. After all, I was forced into that cursed loop of walking more times than I'd like to admit, so how about we change that." Soul started, grabbing peoples attention as he went on. "I am Soul, and I bring you the deal from Aaron Stone." Soul continued talking. However, just as he was about to speak again, a shocking force landed in the city.
"OH, for the love of GOD!" Soul complained, walking over to the source of the noise. "There are many things that this can be, and if it's who I think it is, I'm gonna punch them," Soul said to himself, a dust cloud blowing into the city. "I swear I'm gonna punch them."
Soul watched as a large shadow cast itself over the ground, as the sound of screaming wracked Soul's ears. As the dust settled, Soul realised that what had crashed was not a sentient being. It was just a rocky statue of a dragon. However, that statue had crashed down onto a Beastperson, who was screaming in pain as they tried to get out. Everything from their hips and down had been completely shattered by the statue. Soul looked at them in somewhat sadness. Imagine losing half of your body like this. Soul didn't even sense it in the air, which shocked him more than anything.
Soul lifted up the body of the Beastman, recognising his gender after taking a closer look at his face. "I'm sorry for this. Give me a second." Soul told the Beastman, placing his hand on the damaged and severed area where his hips used to be. Black Corruption flowed from Soul's tips, almost like it was trying to mesmerise anyone who watched. Aaron watched as the Corruption spread to the Beastman's head, grabbing an image of what his lower half, clothed and unclothed, looked like. It was so that Soul's Corruption would be able to actually make him have a body. He wasn't nearly as fluent with this as Aaron was, so he had to take extra steps to make sure everything worked.
The first thing that the Corruption did was numb the area. It did this just so that the Beastman wouldn't feel more pain. It was like a magic painkiller. The next thing it did was make the clothes appear first, and THEN his body, he kept anyone watching from seeing his crown jewels. Now, Soul had to see them himself to make them, and all Soul said afterwards was that he had to alter the size just a bit. Of course, he said this to himself, as it would have been embarrassing for him and the Beastman if he said it out loud.
"Now, what in the hell is this?" Soul asked himself, letting the Beastman walk away as he pondered why this strange statue of a dragon was here. Soul floated up to it, looking at how incredibly well sculpted it was. It was like it would come to life at any second and bite his head off. It was that detailed. "You know, stuff like this just doesn't randomly happen, does it? I bet you this is part of an organised attack, but if we just remove it from the area, everything will be fine." Soul continued to say to himself, tapping the statue to see if it was actually filled on the inside or hollow and just had size on its side.
However, once Soul tapped it, the statue began to crumble. It was almost unnoticeable when it started, as only pebbles hit the floor. It quickly escalated to large chunks of rock falling to the ground. All of the Beastpeople ran away from the falling debris, ensuring that they didn't get hurt. Especially the Beastperson that Aaron had healed. He very much liked his lower half and didn't want to lose it again.
Soul just stared at the statue with amazement as a dragon with silver scales revealed itself from inside the rocks. Soul was thoroughly impressed and decided to entertain whoever put the dragon here because that would have been a lot of work, and he wasn't sure if dragons existed here.
"Have at you, dragon. However, don't be so fooled by my meagre appearance. Size matters not in a fight of true strength."
