Dotan...

'Why can't you love me?'

Elaine's question reverberated in Hayford's mind as he stared right into her eyes.

This was the question that had been bugging him throughout the night. Why couldn't he love her?

"If I'm hard to resist, isn't it strange that you're rejecting me right now?" Elaine sobbed, staring back at Hayford who had a helpless look on his face. He tried to find the right words to use.

"Elaine... please calm down and hear me out." He said, tightening his hold on her arms as she shook in tears.

Elaine looked away, now becoming conscious of her actions. She was crying over a guy! Something she never dreamt of doing. And not just once had she done so because of this very same person.

She tried to calm down, wiping her face with the back of her hand and sniffing. Hayford led her to the nearby couch and sat her down.
