156. The journey to Livingsprings

Derek had reached home, and Joshua went to Esther's room to inform her of his arrival so that she could serve him dinner. He didn't expect to meet her in this state.

She was tossing and turning in bed when he got there, her forehead drenched in beads of sweat, and murmuring inaudible words with a tight frown on her face. She had grabbed unto one of her pillows and when Joshua got closer, he realised she was not only sweating. She was crying.

Right now, she was tucked securely in his arms, and the way she had tightly held unto him like she was scared to death made his heart squeeze.

"It was just a dream." He assured her. "Get some rest." He added even though it was not night yet. The sun just set and they should be having dinner. But if she would be able to rest a little more to clear her mind of those scary images, then he would allow her.
