Of course, Pakura knew that Shintaro had intentions to save her.
But she was already discouraged and didn't care whether she was being used by him or not.
Pakura calmly waited for his request.
However, Shintaro's words still surprised her.
"I want you to become the Kazekage."
"What?"
Pakura stared at him with bright eyes and said nothing.
After a while, she said, "Do you want to use me as a puppet for Konoha?"
Once upon a time, the word "Kazekage" was Pakura's goal and dream.
The reason why she fought so hard and bravely on the battlefield was not to gain military exploits and get closer to the position of Kazekage.
However, she fought desperately on the battlefield, only to be betrayed by the Fourth Kazekage Rasa and a group of senior officials.
Therefore, she no longer thought about her former dream. But now, after hearing the word Kazekage from Shintaro's mouth, Pakura thought Konoha wanted to support her, someone who had lost support in Sunagakure Village, to become the Kazekage.
Shintaro corrected her guess, "It's not as bad as you think."
Pakura looked at him and said, "How good are you to me?"
"At least, I won't send you to Kirigakure to die." Shintaro teased at first, then said seriously, "I'm here to cooperate with you."
"I've already become an outcast from my own village. How can I cooperate with you, Konoha's rising star?" Pakura said mockingly.
"Actually, my situation might not be much better than yours." Shintaro said lightly.
Pakura was momentarily stunned by his words, then sneered, "Are you going to be miserable in front of me?"
After experiencing this betrayal, she no longer easily trusted anyone.
But Shintaro's next words made her doubt.
"It's true I'm not as miserable as you, but I could be considered the same type as you. We are both people not trusted by the village leaders."
"You?" Pakura asked doubtfully.
"I was born into the Uchiha Clan, and you are a ninja from Sunagakure Village. Perhaps you don't know what it means to be born into the Uchiha Clan in Konoha. Simply put, I can't become Hokage in the usual way."
Shintaro's words made Pakura think hard. She did not expect Shintaro to reveal his ambitions so unabashedly while complaining.
"But to realize some ideas in my mind, I must win the position of Hokage, so I need help." Shintaro continued.
"With your strength, why don't you just kill all the leaders?" Pakura said bluntly.
Shintaro looked at her and laughed heartily, "Haha, you really have no political sense. No wonder you didn't even realize you were betrayed."
Pakura glared sharply at him.
Shintaro waved his hand and replied, "Neither Hokage nor Kazekage can sit on their thrones relying solely on strength. Take Konoha as an example. When the village was first established, there were two candidates for the first Hokage, but the final election result was entirely different, and in the end, Uchiha Madara was forced to defect from the village."
"So, if I kill all the leaders, I will only become Konoha's enemy, not the Hokage."
Pakura nodded thoughtfully, then asked, "So, if I become Kazekage, will that help you become Hokage?"
Shintaro replied, "It won't help much; it would be better if you could send congratulations when the time comes, but that's it. I want you to become Kazekage mainly because I want an additional ally and to win peace for Konoha."
"Rasa started a war right after taking power. He is actually not the type of person who loves peace. Even if he is defeated by Konoha this time, he will lie low like a hungry wolf, waiting for an opportunity to attack Konoha again."
Hearing this, Pakura couldn't help but agree, "That man is indeed not a good person."
"So, is this our cooperation?" Shintaro nodded.
Pakura asked again, "But what's in it for me? I don't want to become Kazekage now."
She looked at Shintaro jokingly, trying to see the confusion on his handsome face.
However, Shintaro calmly asked, "Don't you want revenge?"
Pakura's expression immediately changed, she clenched her fists and gritted her teeth and said, "Of course..."
"I can gather your strength and use your own power to help you kill Rasa on the battlefield. At that time, the position of Kazekage will naturally be yours. Then, you will have no choice but to take action against the high-ranking officials who betrayed you. It's just a simple matter."
Shintaro's words immediately intrigued Pakura.
"How can I use my power to kill Rasa? I don't want to be accused of killing the Kazekage. That would only make me a renegade ninja."
Sunagakure Village had learned from killing a Kazekage and becoming a renegade ninja. That man's name was Sasori, and he was the grandson of Chiyo, the elder of Sunagakure Village.
"Your hand." Shintaro said, holding out his hand.
Pakura did as instructed and extended her white palm.
"Shoot a fireball escape."
Pakura then condensed a fireball escape the size of a rubber ball in her palm, and the scorching heat immediately rose.
Shintaro used [Blue] to absorb the fireball in his palm, then was about to hold it.
"You're crazy! If you touch it, you'll die!"
Pakura hurried to stop him, but Shintaro already held the fireball in his hand, and the hot light radiated from between his fingers, but Shintaro did nothing.
"Don't worry, the fireball is only touching the [Infinity] between you and me."
Shintaro held the fireball, released [Blue] in his palm, and gradually compressed the fireball into a very small ball.
Then he opened his palm and showed the result to Pakura.
The fireball or fire dot, smaller than an ant, hung in his palm.
"I'll use this as the final blow to kill Rasa."
After Shintaro finished speaking, he put the fire dot into his pocket. He didn't maintain any restrictions all the time, so the fire dot wouldn't hurt him at all, and as long as it hit itself, the fire dot wouldn't affect anyone else.
Pakura was shocked to hear this and said, "As long as you help me kill Rasa, when I become Kazekage, I can fulfill all your needs."
Shintaro smiled and said, "It's a deal."
Pakura nodded, then smiled in relief.
"I thought I would never return to Sunagakure Village... But this outcome is not unacceptable."
Pakura initially thought if she wanted to take revenge on Rasa, she would become a traitor, and then she wouldn't be able to return to her hometown. But with Shintaro's help, she could not only get her wish for revenge but also seize the opportunity to gain the Kazekage throne she once dreamed of.
In this case, even if she had to meet Shintaro's requirements after becoming Kazekage, it wouldn't be a big problem.
Such cooperation could be called a win-win solution.
