Of course, Pakura knew that Shintaro had intentions to save her.

But she was already discouraged and didn't care whether she was being used by him or not.

Pakura calmly waited for his request.

However, Shintaro's words still surprised her.

"I want you to become the Kazekage."

"What?"

Pakura stared at him with bright eyes and said nothing.

After a while, she said, "Do you want to use me as a puppet for Konoha?"

Once upon a time, the word "Kazekage" was Pakura's goal and dream.

The reason why she fought so hard and bravely on the battlefield was not to gain military exploits and get closer to the position of Kazekage.

"You?" Pakura asked doubtfully.

"I was born into the Uchiha Clan, and you are a ninja from Sunagakure Village. Perhaps you don't know what it means to be born into the Uchiha Clan in Konoha. Simply put, I can't become Hokage in the usual way."

"So, if I kill all the leaders, I will only become Konoha's enemy, not the Hokage."

Pakura nodded thoughtfully, then asked, "So, if I become Kazekage, will that help you become Hokage?"

Shintaro replied, "It won't help much; it would be better if you could send congratulations when the time comes, but that's it. I want you to become Kazekage mainly because I want an additional ally and to win peace for Konoha."

"Rasa started a war right after taking power. He is actually not the type of person who loves peace. Even if he is defeated by Konoha this time, he will lie low like a hungry wolf, waiting for an opportunity to attack Konoha again."

Pakura asked again, "But what's in it for me? I don't want to become Kazekage now."

Shintaro's words immediately intrigued Pakura.

Sunagakure Village had learned from killing a Kazekage and becoming a renegade ninja. That man's name was Sasori, and he was the grandson of Chiyo, the elder of Sunagakure Village.
