Encounter with the Princess

All the words died in his mouth as he tilted his head and looked up at the newcomer.

"Aurora, show our guest a room where he can sit, not float."

Xobaria's voice seemed to be coming from somewhere far, far away as he was soaked in the sight before him.

Standing there was a girl covered in flowers, seashells and leaves. Her big, doe eyes glanced at him and then shifted behind him before she bowed obediently.

Since he had stepped on this island, he hadn't seen such a beautiful woman despite all the attractive ones that passed his eyes before. Not just on this island but he hasn't seen such a beautiful woman ever before in his life.

It wasn't just about her face or her body but something else…something so tempting, so bewitching about her that he was having a hard time pulling his gaze back. All of the things he had hated seeing other men doing, without even realizing he had done the same thing. And, as soon as he realized it, he snapped out of whatever spell her looks casted on him and cursed under his breath.

"Yes mother," came her delicate voice, almost like a whisper but Draveric's sharp senses could hear it pretty well.

He gave a curt nod to the Queen and turned around to follow the woman. However, this time he refrained from looking at her but it was impossible not to. Hence, he stole a few glances of her side profile and her legs occasionally. The legs mostly because she walked quite weirdly, almost like she was trying to swim instead of walking. It appeared like she would fall any minute.

He was unconsciously comparing her to the other creatures here and her 'mother'. Her skin was pale with a slight hue of bronzy tan to it that would definitely pop under sunlight. While they were peculiar, her body on the other hand was delicate looking, her legs seemingly weaker than all the other parts of her. Her silver hair was falling down her full hips, blocking the view but of course he wasn't going to look at them anyways, right?

Distracted by her presence, he almost forgot to notice where they were going and that gave him another reason to hate her. He was supposed to be focused and uninterrupted so that's what he started doing again.

They have been walking for quite some time now when she finally came to stand before a cave sort of room without any door to it. He had noticed this with all the rooms here, they had no doors. Although the rooms weren't exactly rooms but hollow cave like spaces with water beds underneath. This was the only cave that didn't have water and instead the stoned floor was matted with soft looking moss over it. One person could only sit and lay inside it at a time.

"We usually don't have human visitors so that's all we have got for now. I hope you won't have any problem spending the night here. If you need anything-"

"Drop the act lady," Draveric tilted his head towards her and forced her to stop mid-sentence. "I can see right through this fake hospitality of yours."

The girl didn't reply but he could see her eyes narrowing and an eyebrow slightly raising. It made her look…sexy, correction, uglier. He gritted his teeth to stop any kind of emotion slipping over his face.

It's all an act.

All an act.

All an act.

She is a monster underneath.

A monster who may have eaten the hearts of many men before.

A monster!!

"Pardon, I didn't understand." She batted her eyelashes at him and this time her voice came out even gentler than before.

His thoughts were confirmed.

She was definitely up to an act of kindness, suppressing the evil beneath.

He would never be fooled by her innocent looking face.

Never.

"Awww," He leaned against the mouth of the cave and bent a little forward to match her timid self, compared to his own frame. "Look who is all naïve and innocent." He let his eyes fall down to her chest where her cleavage was popping out from that tight looking flower corset. He licked his lower lip and drawled his eyes even lower until he heard a familiar hissing sound.

He immediately looked up with a smug look on his face as he smirked in satisfaction. The delicate looking girl had suddenly grown pointed fangs and her hazel irises had narrowed to a thin black slit. The warmth on her face was replaced by utter resentment.

"Too bad, the naïve little princess couldn't hold up the act for too long." He bit his lower lip to suppress the smirk.

"Watch your mouth," she walked closer to him until her nose aligned to his. "As I can't hold my hunger for too long as well."

Draveric's previously mocking expressions had melted into a dull, hazy one as he whispered back, "That's alright, you can have me all for yourself, princess. I won't mind." His hand slipped to her back as he pulled her even closer.

Aurora pulled back instantly, her eyes going back to normal. There was a tinge of red rising up to her cheeks and that had him smirking again. "You pervert! I will bite your hands off if you try to touch me again."

"Wasn't it you who was talking about being hungry?" He blinked innocently at her.

"Hungry for your heart, man." She sent a death glare to his side and turned around to leave when her jittery legs betrayed her for moving them so abruptly without a warning notice.

And there she was, landing smoothly on her knees right by his feet.

'I hope I die and my body evaporates along with my soul.' She thought with closed eyes and clenched fists.

She was definitely hoping to be slowly evaporating in the air when a pair of strong hands settled on her shoulders, pulling her up on her feet but she still refused to open her eyes.

"You can have my heart, no need to go on your knees, Princess."

"You!" She snapped her eyes open but got confused by the close proximity. It was the first time she noticed his eyes and they were…strange.

Silver and glowing, she had never seen such eyes before. Mother had told her that men always had the dullest eyes as they were cruel creatures then why this man's eyes…

"Stop staring, I am getting shy." He threw another stone in the already agitated waters.

"Oh you wish!" She pushed his chest and stepped away from him, this time carefully. "Let's see who will be on their knees." She had finally composed herself, wrapping underneath the blanket of her act once again. "Have some rest, dear guest. We'll join you at dinner."

"Will be looking forward to it." He bounced a smile at her and she returned it gracefully.

The air around them almost got poisoned from the amount of bitterness behind those two smiles.

After the princess was gone, he stood up straight.

He needed to find Victor first and then the one he came here for.

As soon as possible!
