As Yale walked up to her side, he immediately heard such an angry remark, making him feel like he had a fishbone stuck in his throat.

Yale's voice was loud, with a slight tremble in it. It was unclear whether he was angry, disappointed, or anxious.
And such loud words fell into Allison's ears, it was as if they were scolding her, and doing so in front of everyone, without any intention of saving her face.
