Yun Che rolled the red-colored orb in his hand with an expression of interest.

A silence descended within the cave, one filled with heaviness.

"Even though I don't like him much due to how sadistic his trials were, he wasn't a bad dude," Yun Che muttered, staring at the now dark empty cave.

"... You are talking about the strongest existence under Creation Gods here. I don't know how many people have the courage to say they hate them," Jasmine shook her head and sighed.

Yes, she didn't fear Azure Dragon either since she knew that the current her was stronger than the puny spirit left on this star. Even then, she wouldn't dare to talk bad about him.

This was the respect, fear, and reverence of True God that was fully imprinted within the bones of mortals.

Yun Che looked like an oddball to not care about it.

"Hey, don't look at me like I'm some freak!" Yun Che protested at Jasmine's look before he stood up and dusted his robes.

"Where are we going now? Back to your little princess at the capital?" Jasmine asked with a bitter tone, making Yun Che stare at her blankly.

"You sure sound jealous there… Want me to pat you? Maybe hug you even?"

"Who wants you to pat her!? And I'm not jealous, just annoyed! I don't want to be forced to see you doing that disgusting act!"

Yun Che rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, sure."

Seeing his face that said "who are you trying to hide your feelings from", black lines appeared over Jasmine's forehead and she gritted her teeth.

She wanted to deny him, yet she couldn't find words to do so.

"Anyways, come here. I want to pass a profound art to you. This will help you to purify the poison faster."

"There is such profound art?" Skeptical, Jasmine floated close to Yun Che.

Seeing his chance, his hand moved and he suddenly hugged her!

Jasmine's body stiffened that instant and her mind went blank.

"First, thank you for helping me despite the fact that you had to go through excruciating pain to use your powers." His hand raised, and he patted her head. His head-patting skill kicked in, and Jasmine's body trembled as a highly familiar warmth filled her very being within the cocoon of gentleness and love. "I know you hold a very huge grudge within your heart, and even though I don't know for whom, as long as I'm alive, I'll definitely protect you. That is my promise to you, Jasmine."

She wanted to protest and even push Yun Che away, but the warmth that filled her very being made her hesitate to part from it.

How long had it been since she had felt so safe and warm? She couldn't remember. This caused her to close her eyes and a soft sigh left her lips.

'Just for now... Can I not enjoy this warmth a little longer?'

Seeing her not punching him to the netherrealm and gently nestling her head into his chest, made a smile appear over Yun Che's face.

All in all, Jasmine was still quite young.

She may have the inheritance of the Star God and the memories of hundreds of thousands of years that came with it, but in her heart, she was still pure and innocent; a young girl who sought to avenge her dead brother and mother.

Being put with such big responsibilities on her little shoulders when she hadn't even hit puberty yet, one could imagine how painful a life she must have led.

Yun Che thought if he could, he wanted to bear a little of her responsibilities, yet he knew he wasn't strong enough to do so. All he could do was hug her and provide, giving her a shoulder to lean on.

Time passed in silence within the cave.

There was no wind, so the silence was even more apparent.

Yun Che and Jasmine spent their time hugging each other before Jasmine suddenly turned into a shimmer of green light and vanished.

Seeing this, Yun Che wryly smiled.

"... You owe this princess a new bed." Suddenly, a soft voice resounded in his head; it was quiet and gentle. "Take this princess to look for a good new bed."

Yun Che smirked.

"Sure. Do you want some new dresses too? We can get you a whole new wardrobe. Consider it my compensation for letting Little Fairy steal your bed."

"Humph. You'd better." A pause appeared before her voice, almost like a mosquito, appeared in his head. "Thank you..."

After that, she cut off her connection with him.

Shaking his head, Yun Che came out of the cave and looked at the clear sky.

Taking a deep breath, his eyes gave a deep golden glow as he smirked.

"Time to get the Emperor Realm True Dragon Core now!"

In a burst, he turned into a blur in the sky and vanished in the direction of the Scarlet Mountain Range!

As he was flying, coupled with him blasting Profound Energy below his feet, he looked like a fast-flying jet plane to the naked eye! With his speed, it took him merely four to five days to reach the Scarlet Mountain Range!

During this time, he didn't hear anything from Jasmine. And when he entered the Sky Poison Pearl, he saw her sitting in the air with her eyes closed, purifying the poison within her body.

Seeing her, he softly called her.

"Jasmine, I need your help."

The moment his voice fell, her eyes opened.

The two immaculate pitch-black eyes stared down at him. He could see they were fairly soft compared to before when she looked at him with pure coldness.

"You want this princess to kill that dragon?"

Yun Che nodded positively.

"Its meat and blood are highly nutritious to my Dragon God Bloodline and would help me refine it faster. I also need its core to create a weapon for someone."

Jasmine's eyes narrowed before she snorted coldly.

"It's probably for your little princess, isn't it?"

Yun Che embarrassingly smiled.

"My dear master knows me too well. I'm speechless."

"Humph. Stop with that useless flattering tone. Coming from you, it gives this princess creeps." Even though she said that, she still stood up from her position and added, "Even though this princess wants to know how you can transfer your experience with the profound art into other people, this princess is certain you would not tell her, right?"

By now, she was completely used to the weirdness of Yun Che, and she attributed it to her theory of him being the reincarnation of some Primordial God.

"Who wants you patting her!? Just go outside or this princess will not help you!"

"Okay okay, I'm going." With his hands raised, he vanished from the pearl's space, leaving behind the red-faced girl, who muttered softly under her breath.

"... Idiot Yun Che."
