"It will hurt. Bear with it." Jasmine said with a grin, waiting to see Yun Che screaming.

"I understand. Do it, Master!" Yun Che said, quite enthusiastically in fact.

Seeing his enthusiastic expression made Jasmine weirded out. She wondered if Yun Che had some weird fetishes that he was hiding.

She raised her hand and a drop of blood appeared hovering over it. She then pushed the blood drop towards Yun Che's head. The moment it touched it, it started to sink into his body.

Yun Che was sitting cross-legged on the ground. The moment the drop of blood entered his head, he felt a surge of a huge amount of energy. And with it came equally a huge amount of pain.

The profound veins within his body started to break and were then rebuilding itself into Heretic God's profound veins!

—New skill [Pain Resistance] has been learned!

Such a process would have been tremendously painful if not for his [Pain Resistance] skill which Yun Che maxed out the moment he felt a semblance of pain surging into his body.

"What!?" Jasmine looked confused and baffled. She couldn't believe her eyes as to what she was saying. The process of destroying one profound veins and rebuilding them anew was beyond painful experience. Yet, all she saw in front of him was a relaxed Yun Che. Despite the fact that she could literally see his skin cracking and blood coming out of his ears and nose, Yun Che didn't show any expression. It looked like he wasn't even able to feel pain!

'Is he even a human? Never have this princess seen someone being so nonchalant when their literal body is destroying and rebuilding itself! To be able to bear such immense pain… what kind of life did he live in the past?'

If only she knew that the fact he wasn't feeling any pain was because of him maxing the skill out. Of course, Yun Che knew it was a double edged sword. While he won't feel any pain, this will definitely dull his instincts. Thankfully, while the skill indeed removed the pain factor, it didn't remove the message factor. So while he wasn't able to feel pain, he knew he should be feeling pain right now.

All in all, it was a weird experience to have.

The whole process of profound vein rebuilding took about ten minutes or so.

Yun Che looked at his hand as he felt a weird energy crossing through his body, making a smirk appear over his face. He loved this feeling! Not only did it increase his perception of the world around him, it also made him stronger!

This feeling of being able to punch anything was really exhilarating!

"What are you doing smirking like an idiot? Did all the pain make you dumb?"

"This feeling of being able to feel profound energy within my veins is new to me. Let me enjoy it."

"Humph! We don't have time for such trivial things! Since you already own the legacy of Heretic God, you need to understand some things about it."

Yun Che nodded.

Taking it as a cue, Jasmine explained to him about Heretic God and his legacy. About the seeds and how some of them were present on this planet. And only by taking all the seeds will he be able to access the full legacy of Heretic God.

While she was explaining about the legacy of Heretic God, Yun Che raised a brow as a notification appeared in front of his eyes.

—Skill [Energy Absorption] has been added!

"Are you listening to this princess?" Jasmine asked, annoyed, seeing Yun Che staring in the air blankly. She was really starting to question his sanity and was wondering if he was mentally stable or not.

"Yeah, I get it. Basically, I need to collect all the seeds to complete the legacy, right?"

Though annoyed by his tone, Jasmine nodded her head.

"Yes. Each seed contains the pure laws of elements within them. This will also allow you to use all elements."

To be honest, if Jasmine could, she wanted this legacy for herself. Sadly, the condition of breaking one's vein and rebuilding them anew stopped her. She wasn't willing to waste her cultivation of peak Divine Master and return back to a mortal realm.

The benefit of having Creation God's foundation was indeed tempting, but the price for it stopped her from doing so. Now, her bet was on Yun Che. She wanted to nature him and make him strong enough to aid in her revenge.

After he was explained the content regarding the legacy, on Jasmine's constant insistence, he made his way to the nearest mountain range to train—Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range!

On his way there, Yun Che started to remember the plot. He knew that an Emperor Profound Realm dragon resided at the peak of the mountain and that he had one of the Heretic God seeds on him, Fire Seed to be precise.

He, of course, wanted it.

'Let's wait for Heavenly Burning Clan elders to arrive. The only reason that dragon left his cave was due to them. So if I want to sneak my way in, I need them to act as my bait. Till then, I'll just practice within the mountain range.'

As the night set, Yun Che reached the iconic waterfall where the original Yun Che trained. Though, of course, he had no plan of grinding his way to the top. That would be the same as admitting he was a masochist, which he wasn't.

And so, the first thing he did after reaching the mountain range was to max [Energy Absorption] skill! With this, the time required for him to reach the top would be reduced… a lot!

Yun Che raised his head and stared at the sky with a smile on his face. Even now, all of this felt like a dream. He still was having a hard time believing that he was reincarnated into the body of the protagonist of ATG! It all felt surreal!

'But since I'm already here now, can't I now enjoy my life a little?'

As for his purpose? He will think about it another time. For now, he decided to just go with the flow.

Jasmine was already asleep within the Sky Poison Pearl, busy purifying the poison. And since it was already a night, Yun Che also decided to sleep now. He will start training tomorrow.
