SINCE THE DAY I MET HER

“I am sorry. I am really sorry I am in a hurry,” she apologized when she crashed into a human-wall in her clumsiness. “It’s fine,” he said and turned his heels around to leave the place, but her meek yet hesitant voice made him stop in his tracks. “Hmm… Can you tell me where is freshers hall?” she asked lowering her head as she clutched her shoulder straps tightly while looking at him with her small almond eyes making his heart skip a beat. “Follow me,” he said she nodded. Soon they reached the freshers' hall. Giving a small smile to him, she went to an empty seat and settled there, while he went to the boys’ side and sat in his seat. But unknown to her, the eyes of a certain person remained on her whole time. He watched her every action which amused him. She is clumsy, stupid yet she looked cute. Her actions caught his eye as she stole his heart but only to be broken. —-------- “Pritam, You have to help me in finding his feelings towards me,” Shristi requested him, making his heart bleed in pain and agony. Gulping the lump that formed in his throat, he said, “I will,” “Thank you. Ok bye. It’s getting late,” she said and left. Breaking his heart into million pieces. Indeed, it’s late for him. If he said his feelings earlier, if he was close to her, if he was outspoken with her, maybe he would be the whom she loved. But it’s already late. In the game of time and fate, would she recognize his love? If she does, would there be any obstacles? Can their love meet the skies? To know the answers read the story of Pritam Gupta along with his clumsy beauty Shirsti Sharma.

SERVING THE JUSTICE

I have no idea what Pritam and Arun did while they were in my father's room, but they certainly take a while.

I merely instructed them to submit two applications for the merit test, but they already had a plan.

In the morning, my father asked me if I saw someone come in, and he appeared concerned.

Krunal had not informed my father, I assumed.

I regained my energy after a brief interval and observed the lost objects.

Krunal said to me, "Shristi, I know you were planning something."

Krunal approached me and expressed his misgivings about me.

I questioned Krenal, "Are you crazy now?"

"I saw you last night as you were leaving the home with two waiters carrying ice cream boxes," he remarked.

Well then, why do you accuse me since you said that I was coming out with ice cream boxes? I inquired.

He said, "Last night, after dropping your companion off at her home, I started to return, and then your old friend Amit met me.

"What? Is this you? Why do you still encounter this psychopath? "I cried out.

Along with that, he claimed to have seen you plotting something in the campus backyard with three of your pals. "He also told me that," he said.

We did meet in the college backyard, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are planning anything, I remarked.

"Shristi, why don't you cooperate, please? I saw the three of you and double-checked the CCTV, and your father is becoming agitated "said he.

I questioned, "So, you're saying I'm the thief now?" I didn't think your waiters came with you, so I'm not saying that he said.

I said, "By the way, did you ask about them?" He claimed that while they appeared different and were outsiders, "We have inquired about all the waiters." "What have we lost, then, and why are there no police, I see. Has dad voiced any complaints so far?" I questioned Krunal.

We were double-checking everything before we filed a complaint, so we haven't yet contacted the police, he said in response.

I said, "Yeah, let me let you know if I remember anything."

Has your father been contacted yet? he asked.

Krunal, I said, "Not yet; I have to go to college; I'll talk to him later."

I then started to scan the room to check if there were any missing antiques, but I only saw everything that belonged to my father.

Before leaving for college, I informed my father that I would be attending the classes.

I felt like I'd done Pratam a disservice by assisting him with the merit test application.

Everything went as planned, but I wanted to double-check with Pritam and Arun to see if they made any mistakes.

I approached Arun as soon as I got to class and introduced myself.

"Hi, Arun." "Good morning, did you get enough sleep the night before?" I inquired of Arun.

"Good morning, Shristi; sure, I slept tight," he said.

"Did you give her the application form? "It needs to be filled out and mailed in two days," I inquired.

"Oh, I see, it is with me now, but take it and give it to yourself," he explained.

He gave me the application form and instructed me to handover it over to the Kaveri form on my own.

For a brief while, I was torn: should I inquire about what happened in my father's room the night before?

"Arun, did you lose anything last night?" "Well, my father appeared a little anxious and stated we were robbed," I explained.

"Really?" he asked. "I don't think we misplaced anything last night, although Pritam broke the seal on a paper to double-check it," he added.

"Oh, he resealed it or not?" I inquired.

"Of course, he re-sealed it, Shristi; that's why it took a little longer last night," he explained.

"Thank God, no files were lost. If any files were missing, we'd be detected and taken to the police station," I explained.

"What? "Are you sure?" he inquired.

"No, Arun, I'm just kidding," I answered, smiling.

"Is everything all right at home? Was anything overlooked?" "Aside from forms?" he inquired.

"My father told me this morning that we were robbed, but I don't think we lost anything," I explained.

"Did they suspect anyone?" he inquired.

"So far, so good, but I won't know until the evening; by the way, Arun, it's time to open up with Kaveri," I smiled.

"Yeah, I think I need to take a step, and you do inspire her about me," he admitted.

"Sure, Arun, that's why I came," I responded as I walked away.

After speaking with Arun, I had a sneaking hunch that Pritam would have done something by breaking the seal.

Then I went to my seat to concentrate on the class.

Kaveri came in a few minutes later and sat next to me.

"Good morning, Kaveri?" "sweety, are you okay now?" I inquired.

"Shristi, "Good morning, I'm fine," she replied.

"Tada, surprise, do you know what this is?" I inquired, displaying the application form to her.

"Wow, thank you; it's the application form for the merit test; did Pritam give it to you?" she said.

"No, Arun told me to give you something with my hands because it would make him happy," I explained.

"Really? "Isn't that considerate of him?" she inquired.

I handed the form to Kaveri and told her to fill it out and return it to me.

She then took the form and began filling it out.

Kaveri enthusiastically filled out the form and informed me she'd mail it along with Pritam.

When I saw it in her eyes, I realized something.

There is no joy in owning a great number of assets and properties if they are not used for their intended purpose.

It wasn't just about me and my pals. If every wealthy person could assist just one needy person, the world would be a better place.

All of these thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to concentrate on the lecture.

I waited till the classes were finished before inviting Pritam to come and see me in person.

Pritam met me in the college's backyard after classes; it was just me and Pritam.

I assigned Arun homework to perform after lessons.

"Hey, Pritam, did you fill it out?" I inquired of Pritam.

"Yeah, shristi," he responded, filling it out and waiting for Kaveri to send it right away.

"She's on her way, but tell me something—did you guys misplace anything yesterday?" I inquired.

When I asked him this question, he became a little nervous and fumbled in his response.

"No, we haven't misplaced anything; the goods were arranged in their original arrangement," he explained.

"My father looked anxious when he informed me we were robbed last night; I'm not sure what's going to happen, and Kruanl is accusing me," I explained.

"Why is this the case? We didn't take anything "He stated.

"Are you certain you haven't made any errors?" I inquired.

"What do you have in mind for me, Shristi?" "Are you implying I'm the thief?" he questioned, raising his voice.

"I didn't intend it that way, Pritam; I was trying to warn you that we didn't want to get caught and go to prison," I explained.

"Do you think we'll go to jail for what we did?" he inquired.

Arun brought Amit to the campus lawn as Pritam and I was bickering about the previous night.

Kaveri was also with Arun when he drove Amit there.

"Are you leaving without informing me?" With a wicked laugh, Amit inquired.

"What on earth is he doing here, Shristi?" "I don't want him here; could you please tell him to leave?" he inquired.

I told Arun to beat Amit up for what he did the night before.

Arun slapped Amit for revealing our theft plan to Krunal.

After I directed Arun, Pritam smiled as the four of us stood on one side.

"Arun, please stop. Man, why are you striking me? Aren't we friends?" Amit yelled, his face sad.

"Arun hit him harder by telling the truth," I told him.

"Enough, Arun, let him go or he'll die," Kaveri said.

"Wait a minute, come here." "I will kill you without hesitation if you ever try to collude behind my back or the backs of my friends," I threatened Amit.

Pritam seems astonished to see something like that.

"Does that look like Miss Shristi Sharma or a mafia queen?" Pritam inquired, his voice soft.

"It's me, the mafia queen; do you want to disappear, sir Pritam?" "Then listen to me," I sarcastically responded.

Pritam was overjoyed when I began to evolve into a rebel.

I had no notion I had begun to fight for a cause.

All I need to do now is identify a cause and fight for it.

After all of this, I requested that they pay attention to me.

"Guys, listen, we were puppets of the folks with higher authorities until yesterday, but now we're on our own. Yesterday was a fight for the cause, and I believe we left no footprints. Is it correct that if something out of our imagination occurs, we must band together and keep an eye on each other?"

"Yes, Shristi, you were correct; three of them shouted.

"So, folks, I only have one request for both Arun and Pritam: if you made a mistake yesterday, please let me know by this evening," I said.

"But we haven't taken or misplaced anything, Shrsiti," Arun and Pritam both said at the same moment.

"Fine, then let us go home and pretend nothing happened last night," I said.

"Yeah, before that, Kaveri and I have to post the application, and the application states we only have four days for the test," Pritam explained.

"Yeah, Shristi pritam is correct; we need to prepare for the test; we don't have much time," Kaveri replied.

"Then I wish you both the best of luck and ask that you keep me up to date on everything," I said.

"Sure, Shristi," three of them responded.

Later, I realized that the rebel within me had the potential to transform the world and people.

After the meeting, we all thanked each other for our cooperation and went home.

I hoped Amit had learned his lesson as well.

I felt horrible about disappointing my brother after his birthday, but I also needed to do Pritam properly, no matter what.

Everyone seemed tired of hunting by the time I arrived home.

My mother was horrified, even though she did not know what happened or what was stolen.

My father is apprehensive, and I received the idea that he was acting as if we had been robbed.

While the hunt was underway, I stayed with my mother and brother.

As I expected, my brother was dismayed by the mess I had made. He probably expected to have fun after he returned home, but instead, he is playing the victim's son.

Then I decided to have some fun with my brother.

"Sahil, do you want to play a game?" I inquired of my brother.

"But, sister, don't you see what's going on?" he asked.

"Yeah, I felt I could get you out of this dilemma, so I asked."

Mean Krunal and my father were counting something.

"No, I'm OK," he responded angrily.

"Why are you bothering him, Shrsiti? Let him be who he is "My mum explained.

"Smitha, I think that's an excellent idea. Allow them to have some fun by taking them outside "My father informed my younger brother.

That surprised me because my father is concerned about our stress.

My father gave us permission to go out and relax.

My mother and brother accompanied me to a cafe.

We ordered some refreshments after entering the cafe.

My brother requested I play some games on his phone because he didn't have one.

My mother appeared concerned about my father.

Krunal was to fault for what had happened.

"Don't worry, Mom; everything will be fine. Just drink the coffee and take a few deep breaths. I'm confident that everything will be resolved as quickly as possible. I have faith in my father."

"Hmm, I wish I could say the same thing, honey, but if Krunal had done his job properly, no one would have suffered like this," my mother added.

"Leave it to him, mom, what he can do when someone plans everything so methodically," I remarked.

"I know, my dear, your father assured us that we had not lost anything; he informed me that some private information had been spilled by breaking the seal," my mother explained.

"What? Are you serious, Mom? "What does that information contain?" I inquired.

"I'm not sure, honey, but what he told me was concerning some clients' data," my mother explained.

"Does there seem to be any danger now?" I inquired.

"Not yet, but if the manager finds out they're going to launch a lawsuit against him, that's what he's scared about," my mother explained.

"Oh my God, I pray it doesn't go that far," I said.

Pritam's message was read aloud by my brother a few minutes later.

"Do you have any knew about us?" Pritam questioned.

I immediately took the mobile from his hands and told them not to text.

My heart leaped out of my chest at that.

My mother gave me a skeptical glance before asking for the phone.

"Shristi, please give me the phone right now," she said to the phone.

"Or what, mom?" I inquired.

She became aggressive.

With a single SMS from Pritam, the entire circumstance was transformed into hell.

"You bastard, how dare you rob your father!" she cried at me.

"You won't understand, I did exactly what my father did to me!" I shouted.

"What? "What are you on about?" she inquired.

"He stole my friends and expelled them from college with his influence; I've just done them justice!" I screamed.

"You've completely lost your mind, Shristi; hold on, I'm going to notify your father," my mother stated.

"Proceed with caution. Did I make you stop?" I yelled.

"You're completely out of our control," she explained.

Then she called my father and informed him what had transpired in the cafe.

Krunal arrived a few minutes later and drove us home.

I was afraid my father would slap me when we got home.

My father, on the other hand, told everyone to wait outside and took me inside to talk.

I felt he was going to slap me before he started questioning me.

"Shrsiti, as you can see, I left my pride outside the house and let us deal with this professionally," he inquired.

"Sure, dad, but I'm not going to acknowledge I made a mistake," I said.

"I'm not furious with you, sweetheart; just answer the questions I asked," he said.

"All right, dad, go ahead and ask," I said.

"Have you read the file?" "Or does anyone read the file?" he inquired.

"No, I haven't read the file," I explained.

"Okay, my next question is, did you break the seal on the file?" he inquired.

"Yes, dad, I broke the seal, but I didn't read the file; I was looking for the paperwork," I explained.

"What paperwork were you checking for?" he inquired.

"The merit pass application forms were enormous, so I took two of them," I explained.

"How do you know about that?" he inquired.

"Dad, I overheard you talking on your phone," I said.

"Fine, I don't care to whom you gave it or sold it; I don't ask you to bring them back; the two forms don't matter; just never open the sealed files again, please," he added.

"OK, I'm wondering after witnessing your interest in concealing the information in it—what is it about, dad?" I inquired.

"Shristi, it's an educational system for some reserved applicants, but it's based on merit and only requires 30% to pass," he explained.

"Fine, when do you know if it's a good thing?" I inquired.

"It must be kept confidential till the examination is completed; I hope you are aware of your exams in college; it is also for reserved applicants," he remarked.

"All right, Dad, so you're cool now?" I inquired.

"No, not yet; just promise and follow through," he said.

"Yes, I guarantee you that I will not do anything wrong and that I am not a bad person. I gave those documents to persons who were quite helpful to me through my difficult times, and they are only a gesture of my gratitude to them "I added.

After hearing what I had to say, he smiled and urged me to summon everyone inside.

"You made me proud while also disappointing me; I see myself in you," my father replied quietly.

After hearing such words from him, I couldn't stop smiling.

"Thank you, Dad; you can count on me at any moment," I said.

Then, as requested by my father, I summoned everyone inside.

Krunal was among those who arrived.

Father seems to want to say something to them.

"Listen, what occurred last night was not anyone's fault except mine, so don't blame anyone," he told everyone.

My father's behaviors always catch me off guard.

But I don't believe he truly forgave me. I have a feeling he's keeping something from me, but it's not my responsibility unless it involves "my people."

"My people" refers to the people in whom I have faith.

But I should both praise and criticize Pritam for what he did while I was with my family in the cafe.

I had the feeling that justice had triumphed over injustice, and this was only possible because the three of us stood together.

Then I resolved to advocate for those who deserved justice.

I started to feel extremely different as if I were being true to myself: the person who fights for a cause, the person who can face the darkest horrors in real time, the person who can demonstrate by doing the unspeakable. Maybe that's who I am, I realized. I asked my brother if he was having a good time on his vacation. He told me that in the few hours he spent away from home, he learned a lot. My brother and I then started unpacking the gift boxes he had received for his birthday.

The next day, after going to college, I chose to accept initiation in order to serve justice for everybody.

So I approached the principal and proposed forming a group for justice.

"My name is Shristi Sharma, Sir." "I have an idea for a new club," I explained.

"I hope you understand the formality," he remarked.

"Yes, sir, I'm aware of that, but I felt it would be best if I spoke with you in person, sir," I explained.

"Well, Miss Shristi, I'm impressed," he said.

"Thank you, sir, and do you think you like my club?" I inquired.

"What is your motivation for starting your club, Shristi?" he inquired.

"It is about serving justice for those who deserve it, but not everyone can confront their worries, therefore I will stand for the kind of individuals from our institution, and only then will people build hope that here in this college they teach the students to work together and fight for a cause.", I said.

"That was intense but good," he commented.

"Thank you, sir; may I now apply for membership in the club?" I inquired.

"Sure, but be prepared to protect yourself, Shristi," he replied.

Then I thanked him for agreeing to my proposition and finished all the necessary paperwork.

Following that, I took the college radio mic and made an announcement.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Shristi Sharma from the Electronics and Communication branch of the second year, and I hereby inform you that I have started a new club called "Justice for All," which represents justice for all the students who deserve it from our college; the rest of the information can be shared through our social media page; thank you for your time; have a nice day everyone," I informed.

I've received many supportive responses since alerting everyone about my new group, but I can see a few individuals don't like my idea. Then I went to class and began to concentrate on my studies. The lecturer praised me, and everyone in the class seemed startled.

I sat next to Kaveri, so she kept an eye on me for an hour after I entered the classroom.

Meanwhile, during the break, Kaveri had a million questions regarding the new club.

"Hey, Shristi, could you kindly add me to the club?" she inquired. "Sure, you're in; I only need 6 people with the skill I'm looking for," I said. "Oh, then why do you take me in? What skill do you think I have?" she inquired. "You're a good investigator, Kaveri; by the way, you have to study for the test, right?" I said.

"Oh, that's good to know and don't worry about the test I'm already focused on it", she said.

"yeah, it's okay if you already had a plan for it, you can help find the remaining team members then", I asked.

"Sure, it would be my honor to help you Shristi", she said.
