154. Weird Happenings
The shadow cast by the trees repeatedly fell on the carriage rolling through the thick forest. The sound of birds preparing for the night could be heard. There was a fresh scent of nature in the air.
Though Jake was frowning, thinking about the strange dream. He had seen different faces of souls. Some had expressions of ecstasy, some were crying, some depressed, some angry… They were random people he had seen after coming to this world.
'Is it my bloodline? If I remember correctly, it said something about being able to consume souls at higher levels…' Jake thought.
"How was your nap, master?" Erin asked, coming to sit beside him.
"Not that good."
Perry's expression immediately dampened while Erin put on a smug expression. Jake noticed that and realized the meaning they understood.
Though apologising wasn't his nature. He held Perry's chin and looked into her eyes.
"You'll correct this by giving me a better nap the next time."
