Dungeon, return to guild

On the second floor of a local mine, a vibrant teenager with pink hair and matching eyes found himself surrounded by a swarm of sewer rats.

"There must be hundreds... or maybe even thousands," Kai thought nervously, desperately trying to come up with an escape plan.

"Should I attempt a higher level of magic missile? No, I haven't even mastered level 1 yet, but I have no other choice now," Kai muttered, scanning his surroundings. All he could see were the menacing sewer rats, ready to charge at him.

Just as the rats were about to attack, they suddenly stopped in their tracks. They sensed a powerful surge of mana emanating from Kai's body, causing them to retreat in fear. Multiple pink, shiny spheres began to form around him, creating an aura of threat.

Kai noticed their retreat and focused all his concentration on increasing the number of magic missiles. The effort caused him a splitting headache, pushing him to his limits.

"Die, you f*ck*r!" Kai shouted, releasing all the magic missiles he had created in every direction before collapsing, exhausted.

His attack managed to kill more than half of the sewer rats, while the remaining ones scurried away. "Phew, I survived," Kai breathed a sigh of relief, his heart still racing.

He began collecting the rats' tails, knowing that each one would fetch a hefty sum. "I've collected a total of 886 tails, which means 88,600 dollars," Kai muttered to himself, looking up at the ceiling.

After a brief rest, Kai regained his strength and continued his quest. However, he found it increasingly difficult to come across any more rats. He walked for what felt like an eternity until he finally reached a large door.

"Why is there a door here?" Kai wondered, his curiosity piqued. Without hesitation, he pushed the door open, triggering a sense of déjà vu he would rather forget. He took a deep breath and stepped inside.

As his eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room, they fell upon a massive rat that resembled his height, eyeing him warily. "Holy moly, why is there a giant rat living inside the mine?" Kai complained, unsheathing his sword from his inventory.

He cast haste and dashed towards the rat, leaping behind it and swinging his sword with all his might. However, the rat proved to be more agile than a human, easily dodging his attacks.

Startled, Kai stepped back to reassess his strategy, quickly checking the rat's status panel.

The rat boss retaliated with its earth manipulation skill, causing a small earthquake and slamming its tail into the ground. Rocks, the size of two meters began to emerge from the ground, heading towards Kai.

Using wind blades, Kai destroyed the rocks one by one before casting haste and dashing behind the rat boss once again, swinging his sword with all his strength.

This time, he caught the rat off guard and cast the skill "slip," causing the rat boss to fall on its butt. Seizing the opportunity, Kai enveloped his sword with mana and delivered a powerful strike, slicing the rat boss in two. After a brief struggle, the rat boss's corpse lay motionless.

Kai, seeing no further movement from the monster, harvested its tail. Suddenly, a series of notifications flooded his vision. [Congratulations, host, for clearing the new sewer rat dungeon.]

Kai breathed a sigh of relief and sat under a nearby tree to rest before submitting his quest. After a brief moment of relaxation, he made his way back to the guild. Approaching counter number 08, he proudly removed four sacks and one large tail from his inventory.

"I've completed the quest, a total of 999 sewer rat tails and 1 sewer rat boss tail," Kai said, grinning from ear to ear.

His beaming smile caught the attention of the receptionist, who couldn't help but gaze at Kai's handsome face in a daze. Before she could snap out of it, another receptionist interrupted their moment. "How did you get your hands on those?" she asked Kai, breaking the spell. "Oh, actually, the mine turned into a dungeon, and I cleared it," Kai explained, holding nothing back.

Both receptionists were shocked by his revelation. "So you cleared it alone?" they asked, their eyes widening. Kai hesitated for a moment before puffing out his chest proudly. "Yes, I did," he replied, basking in his accomplishment.

"Sorry about the incomplete information from the adventurer guild, which put you in extreme danger," one of the receptionists bowed and apologized, followed by the other receptionist.

The second receptionist, named Sally, was a stunning woman with a well-proportioned body, shoulder-length brown hair, and a uniform that accentuated her beauty. "Kyara, you really have a strong adventurer under you," Sally teased, her tone tinged with envy.

Kyara blushed slightly and replied, "I just got lucky to have an adventurer like him." Kai couldn't resist poking Kyara's cheek playfully, causing her to run off once again.

Observing their interaction, Sally froze in place, her mind racing with secret thoughts. "Oh, so it's like that, huh?" she mused, preparing to tease Kai.

However, her plan backfired when Kai responded bluntly showing a sly smile with eyes close, "Yes, it is. She's really cute, don't you think?" Sally was left speechless, unable to come up with a witty comeback. "Y-Yes," she stammered, picking up the sacks.

"It will take some time to complete the transaction. If you don't mind, you can wait in the guest room or rest in the dining area until we're finished," Sally suggested. "I prefer to rest in the guest room, please," Kai replied without hesitation.

"Okay, when the transaction is completed, I will call for you," Sally said before leaving. Kai made his way to the guest room, ready to relax and unwind.

As he lay there, enjoying a moment of peace, the door suddenly swung open, startling Kai. A woman with a sweet and seductive voice entered the room. "So, you're the adventurer they've been talking about," she said, her voice dripping with intrigue.
