Notes: Thanks to my patrons- Josh, Austin, TheBerryMan and Cooper- for supporting my writing.

Questions I want to answer about the MC:

Q: Why is he catching Pokemon so fast?

A: Because they will be stronger that way and if he gotta get involved in the big-boi stuff from the get-go then he needs a team suitable for a big-boy.

Q: I-is this guy a young master?

A: No! He has connections and he is rich, using what resources he has available to the fullest capabilities is a positive thing guys.

Q: Isn't this son of a bitch too OP from the start?!

A: Wait until you meet bastards like Ash, Alain and N. You will want to commit suicide for thinking that he is OP.

Months passed as Silver trained Alioth, Bagon and Larvitar. He had made a lot of progress in the manipulation of moves and type-energy as well. Alioth was the pokemon who had shown the most growth among the three regarding Type energy manipulation as his Umbrakinesis had grown massively in the months along with his move manipulation. Bagon had shown a bit of control over dragon type energy while having a good amount of progress with pyrokinesis as he could compress the flames he made using ember to create a fireball that expanded a bit when it hit a target. Larvitar had also shown a very minimum control over the dragon dance move, but showed a lot of progress with rock-type energy.

After the experiments in the previous months, Silver had come across many revelations and had realized why trainers did not use raw type-energy manipulation even if they did understand that moves were just a manipulation of the type-energy within pokemon. Pokemon Moves were far more efficient than raw manipulation of the elements during a fight.

Raw manipulation was using the type-energy in a pokemon freely to achieve certain effects while pokemon moves were rigid methods of using said energy to the most efficient level possible.

The thing was, Silver had realized that when using type energy for a move to achieve a result, the cost-benefits would always be greater than using raw-energy manipulation to achieve the same result. It would make the move more rigid, but the move would achieve what it was supposed to do in the best possible way.

This had presented Silver with another question: Why are moves so much more efficient than doing it freely? The answer was very simple, because a move was something that the pokemon as a species has been using for a very long time, they as a species evolved to be able to use the moves as they do in the most energy saving way possible. That was one answer he had came up with and the other was that Arceus had just created Mew with something like genetic dictionary of moves, types and abilities which the pokemon had passed on to each pokemon differently during the time of the creation of this world.

Silver had abandoned the why, since he was not interested in the origins of moves themselves, but the application of raw manipulation of moves and type-energy in the modern world and Silver was surprisingly sure of his choice to make his pokemon excel in move and type-energy manipulation seeing the potential the abilities had.

The other problem he had come across was commanding pokemon to use their move and type-energy manipulation in a certain manner during a high speed battle or without very long speeches. It was difficult and left plenty of opportunities for misunderstandings between trainer and pokemon.

The solution had been simple, to practise a psychic bond between pokemon and trainer or make the pokemon use moves and type-energy independently without much input from a trainer other than general advise. Silver had decided to do both during his journey as he trained his pokemon to be independent in the past months and think on their feet to complete a given objective.

He had trained them in puzzles and games, as he thanked Arceus for making pokemon sentient. His pokemon had taken the lessons to heart as they relied mostly on a general direction from Silver while deciding on the moves to use themselves.

He had also asked the Porygon within LANBOS to hunt down all the information on Psychic Pokemon it could find. Porygon found four Pokemon that matched his requirements- Gardevoir, Alakazam, Gallade, Espeon.

Upon further searching, he had found out that Ralts could be found in areas surrounding Petalburg while Abra could be found in the granite cave. Eevee was a pokemon that he could find with breeders.

Upon more thought, Silver had decided to go for Alakazam, a pokemon renowned for its wisdom and only compared to Slowking, a pokemon Silver had not even thought about due to the rarity of the King's Rock.

The other greater reason was that he could ask Steven if he wanted company during one of his runs to search for precious rocks in Granite Cave as Steven was well acquainted with the cave due to his many runs into it in search of precious stones and could probably help Silver find the Psychic pokemon. It also added the definite plus of spending time with his otherwise busy brother.

Silver shook his head before looking at Larvitar and Bagon about to begin sparring.

Silver did not give either of them any commands during their sparring and only did so while actively training them in any technique he saw fit. What he did do, however, was observe and take note of anything he thought they should do better.

The bout began with Bagon tensing his mouth before releasing a violet jet of Dragon Pulse towards Larvitar who growled a "Vitar!!!" before a green protect emerged in front of him and rushed towards the dragon pulse at a good speed. When the two moves hit each other, the pulse slowed down the shield's rush towards Bagon but due to Protect's nature Silver already knew that the pulse would lose this bout.

Bagon however, was not surprised by his rival's move coming on top of his own as he dodged to the side and sent a small fireball towards Larvitar, who dropped the protect and put his hands on the ground as Protect had already scattered the Dragon Pulse, the ground erupted in front of him to take the hit from the fireball.

Bagon however, scoffed before his face took on a look of intense concentration as he looked at the fireball rushing towards Larvitar. The fireball was affected by Bagon's manipulation of its type-energy as it suddenly avoided the rock shield Larvitar had constructed to hit the pokemon shielded behind it with a small blast of flames.

'They could control and manipulate moves to a fairly good degree, though as they grow stronger the manipulation will need to be more precise.'

Larvitar scowled, not hurt much after having been hit by Bagon's ember so many times as they sparred regularly. The pokemon then gave out what seemed to Silver like a smirk as he put his hands on the ground again and a rock the size of three bricks was torn from the ground and hurled at Bagon. Now Silver would not be surprised if Larvitar had only used a modified rock throw, a move he already knew, but what Larvitar had done was surprising because he had taken the initiative to try something new on his own.

The rock that Larvitar had torn and thrown from the ground was the rock he had been standing on. Silver watched as Bagon's eyes widened as Larvitar used his tiny legs to jump towards the dragon from the rock that was rushing towards him, Bagon fired a hasty dragon pulse towards Larvitar who was hit by it head-on and promptly blown away. Though what Bagon had forgotten during his rush to hit Larvitar was the rock throw that Larvitar had used, the move hit Bagon on his stomach and threw him back.

Silver had seen enough as he stopped the sparring before praising Larvitar for the bold move and praising Bagon for manipulating the fireball.

Silver was sure that the two pokemon were a few months away from evolution and had decided to teach Larvitar and Bagon new moves.

He was going to buy a few TMs soon and ask Roxanne for ideas on moves to teach Larvitar as a rock type.

[Two Months Later]

[AN: It is just six months before the beginning of his journey.]

In the previous months, he had bought a few TMs : Hyper Beam, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang and Ice Fang.

He now had Protect, Psychic, Flamethrower, Hyper Beam, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, and Ice Fang in his TM case to teach to his future pokemon.

Though the only TM he had used recently was Hyper Beam for Umbreon.

His pokemon had progressed a lot in the previous months, in terms of both moves and type-energy manipulation.

Silver was currently riding on Steven's Aerodactyl as they flew towards Dewford City alongside Metagross and Steven himself who was standing on the white behemoth.

Giving an evolutionary twist to pokemon moves being things wild pokemon evolved for seemed like a genius idea of mine at the time.

TE and LE are not new concepts but moves being nothing more than very efficient use of TE Manipulation due to evolution seems like a fair idea.
