Chapter 64

"What about a new village here? The land is fertile and you can use the river to travel to Myr quickly. This will be a farming village where they will be the one providing Myr with food for the first three years until Myr has a steady food source from the farm around the city."

Currently, I'm looking around Myr and thinking about the place that can be used to make sure Myr stands on its own two feet. But I also need to make sure to change that stupid name. What is the name of the city? Myr, and what is the location around it? Myr. Yeah, so confusing.

"How many people are willing to move out in a few days? We need them to start building and making a farm around this area. While they are working on their own house, I will tell the builder to make a wall around the village. A wooden wall should be good enough for now."

"I see. You want to make this village look like a bandit and Dothraki Horde as well."

"That is right. Dothraki is a land people. They will not touch the river and it was a perfect getaway road for the villager in case a horde comes. So I want them to be the first one to send a message to Myr and alert them while they are retreating back to the city."

"That is a good plan, my lord. I will tell the builder to work on it right away and I will gather people who are willing to move here. I think we have a few dozen young families willing to go here."

"Good. For now, we will continue to support Myr in their recovery and train them so they can have a soldier to defend themselve."

"Our soldier will spread too thin, your highness. We did not have the most population, you know?"

"I know and that is why I tell you to send them to train the people in Myr rather than protecting them."

"Ah, my bad. That we can do. We can even train our own men here to hunt the bandit around Essos. We are an island and not many bandits are going around but here? There are as many bandits as the Dothraki horde roaming around. There is a reason why people prefer the sea route rather than the land route. It is safer in the sea filled with pirates than in the land filled with bandits."

"Urgh."

"Your highness?"

I sigh a little and rub my forehead as I can feel a headache start coming.

"That means we need even more soldiers than before. This city is currently a desert with nothing inside but in a few weeks or a month from now on, it will be a field filled with fruit and vegetables. Do you know what happens when that happens?"

"The vultures will come and try their luck."

"Exactly. The bandit will come and we need to put more soldiers in here. Dammit, fine. We will send them a quarter of our soldiers to defend and train them. We will let them defend Myr for a year or so and get back home. We will then send a new batch to train and patrol around Myr. This will happen for three years. That should be enough to make them independent."

I look at the sky and then look back at Bakir before saying.

"I think we should get back to Myr. The sun is starting to set and I don't want to arrive in Myr at night."

"Of course, your highness."

|3rd POV|

While they are riding back to Myr, Viserys does not see the people of Myr who are coming with him and his party. He did not notice them hearing what he was saying. Instead of wanting to be independent, the people that come with him want him to lead them.

They already see what Viserys and Lunaria are doing. They know that Myr will also prosper under his rule. They already see his kindness and how wise he is, and they do not want to let it go.

Even when they technically return to serve another man, they don't care.

They know they can trust their life in Viserys' hands and will still have the same freedom they always wanted.

"And this place is a great place to start a pasture. Unfortunately, we did not have that much grassland in Lunaria, and we could not raise a good horse. We can make a pasture here to raise some horses, cattle, or goats. However, make sure we prioritize the horse."

"Yes, your highness."

"We also need a road that connects Myr to this place and the village that will soon be built. If we can manage to build a bigger road, we can connect this road to the other bigger cities in Essos. From Myr, then go north to Pentos before getting to Braavos then Norvos then Qohor, and back to Myr. We will call it the Silk Road! It will be the biggest trade road in Essos."

The more he talks, the more the people from Myr know that they are choosing the right person to be their king. They can already see his dream in their eyes. They can see the majesty road that connects each City State and make even the King's Road in Westeros look small.

"And maybe, just maybe, we can connect this road to Yi Ti. Sadly, this project will not happen when we still have Dothraki live next to us. Well, that is only a dream anyway. Maybe it will happen in the future. For now, we need to make sure our people have a great road they can travel on."

"Of course, Your Majesty."

While Bakir says that to Viserys, he vows to himself to make sure Viserys' dream can come true and is already planning to send someone to check if they can make it happen. When they arrive in Myr, Viserys is already telling all of his dreams and goals to the people of Myr. It even more reinforces their belief that giving Myr to Viserys is the right decision.
