Alec sighs in defeat and walks out to speak to me in private. "I can shift there, eliminating the possibility of running into trouble along the way. Chip will be with me the entire time and as of right now I'm the only one qualified enough to go out there." I say looking into his dark eyes.

Alec sighs again and nods his head. "You'll go even if I say no... When are you wanting to leave?" I nod and say "After tonight. Gus is almost done with the towers so once they're set up I want to see if they'll work. I don't want to leave until I know the City is safe."

Alec nods again and says "Just keep me updated and let me know if you need anything." I wave him off as I turn to go find the twins. Alec watches me walk away with a complicated look. I find the twins at a small apartment building located near the walls but the apartments themselves were really nice.
