I WAS PUSHED TO THE GROUND.
I fell hard on my knees, scraping them against the ground, yet I barely felt a thing. I looked up with teary eyes at the group of girls that loomed over me, malicious smirks playing on their faces.
"We heard it's your birthday today," One of them commented. I locked my eyes on her, recognizing her. Jenny was one of Melis' best friends; the two were rarely ever seen apart. She flicked her auburn hair over her shoulder. "So, we thought we would prepare a little...surprise for you."
They all laughed as if they had heard the funniest joke in the world, their giggles echoing in my ears. I tried to get up but Jenny kicked me in the back of my knees, knocking me back down to the ground. They formed a circle around me, preventing me from escaping.
"It's not my birthday," I spat. "Who the fuck told you that?"
"Get the bags, girls," She ignored, not taking her sharp eyes off mine. "I think Isla is getting a little impatient for her present."
