31. Questioning

"Ahh? My dream?" Hoseki surprised by sudden unexpected questions.

"Yes. Don't you have any ambition for your future? Like becoming a hokage for example?" Tsunade ask with smile.

"A hokage? Nonono. Not a bit. Never! Mom said Hokage need to take care a whole village and busy all day in his office."

"You see, there are many people in the village and taking care of them will be headache. Furthermore, I prefer my freedom not to be restricted."

"Although, I do have my own ambition. I shall become strongest so I can protected the smile that my parents protected with their own live. I shall become strongest so none can throw their bull**** for me to follow. I shall become strongest so people who want to hurt my families and friends will go far away hearing my name."

"In the future, I will be known as the shiniest gem to the village so people who seeks for trouble will run far away seeing my spark of brightness. Who cares about lame job such as being hokage. Its not like you can't protected the village without it." Hoseki said his ambition proudly.

Tsunade surprised hearing the answer. She never thought that a kid like Hoseki will think being a hokage is a lame ambition. Kids in his age usually shout that they will become the next hokage but this boy said the word NEVER with confident.

"Haa.. HHahaha. Nice thoughts there young boy. You quite different from other kid. Lame job huh. Hahahaa."

"Anyways, it's good to have such dream. I am looking forward for your growth."

"That's it. You should go reported yourself at hokage office." Tsunade finished with her questions and open the door.

"To think he wants to become strongest but refused the position as hokage. That's new. Quite different from you, Nawaki " Tsunade walked out with dull smile while reminiscent about his brother.

"How long you want to stand there?!! "A voice snapped Hoseki out of his thinking mode. Hoseki realised that he had been standing in front of Hokage Office for quite long times.

" Excuse me. " Hoseki immediately open the door and enter

" Greetings hokage sama. "Hoseki greet the third Hokage.

Short while after some greetings and wellbeing questioning, Hiruzen asked Hoseki about his whereabouts during his 'disappearance'.

According to Hoseki, he was training when it happened. He was sucked into whirlpool when he tried to stabilize his chakra and end up to unknown place.

He said he was transport to some rundown mines. From there onwards he tried to find his way home. He was lost for quite sometimes and

He told about some villages he visited during his journey and '

adventure' he had during his journey.

As for his bad condition before, he told hokage that he was out of food and failed to catch one. He also bullshitting about some ferocious wild beast chased him during his way back.

"Thats it?" the third hokage asked with dark face.

"Yeah that was it. " Hoseki answered.

BAAMM!!!!

Hiruzen slap his table down with anger.

"Are you kidding me? Do I look like fool?"

'Yeah you do sometimes. Sorry' A flash thoughts come to Hoseki when he was asked.

"Lost on your way back? It only took 3 to 5 days on foot to the mines. And you took more than a month? You scores perfectly in geography including some problems that some chunin have headache for it. You said you are lost?" Hiruzen asked with anger.

"Practical and theoretical is not the same you know. Furthermore, I don't know if its our mines back then. What if it was other village mines? And If i got caught for spied accusations, what should I do? So, I decided to take detour to avoid that. What that has to do with geography? " Hoseki stood with his answer.

" You!!" Hiruzen speechless with the answers. It struck him with new perspective.

"But still a month is too much and by the time you have confirmed your whereabout, you should able to return quickly." Hiruzen is still not satisfied with Hoseki answer.

"Well I do having some fun along the way back." Hoseki stated another truth for his disappearance.

"Having fun. Whole village looking for you and you having some fun? And you return with that ruckus straight to hospital? " Hiruzen started his questioning again.

Hearing the question, Hoseki realized if he gave any loophole he will be question nonstop.

" What a pain, not only you people glad I returned safely, but instead treat as a criminal to be investigated. What crime did I done to deserve this? Instead of investigating those missing war orphan children, you people waste your time with me. Or those children already in the 'shadow'?"

"That's it. I had enough. I'm not answering anything more. You can kill me if you want"

Bam!!

Hoseki sat cross-legged on the floor while closing his eyes.

Seeing Hoseki action, Hiruzen speechless. All his further questions was going smoked with the action. With that attitude, this boy won't answering anything more even he scolded him. Furthermore he was nit-picking about those missing children.

Hiruzen knew where some of them went but he couldn't get them back from Danzo even if he wanted to. He needed to look for bigger picture.

In the end Hoseki was sent to leave. He was given warning not making another ruckus.

"Sigh, he kept his mouth shut up like that. How should we handle this. You should have a talk with him." Hokage sat down on his chair holding his pipe. He rubbed his temple looking to window.

Author thoughts

This returned home is unplanned arc. I had difficulty to execute the plot. So its a headache weeks including with busy days. So I get lazy instead hahhahaa

I don't know when I will get diligent again hahhaaa. Someone said I should have 3 or more chapter per week. Maybe I will work towards that direction. 3 chapter per weekend.

Still thank you for staying with me all these times. I am grateful for you guys support. I will try harder in future.
