Chapter -24 Unexpected wedding announcement.

Chapter 24.

With the situation escalating, Ye Chen was more than ready to respond. His ambition to rise to the top of the Spirit Hall meant he couldn't afford to hold back or be modest during this crucial moment. He wanted Bibi Dong to witness his strength and meet her expectations—only then would he have a shot at regaining his freedom. And these five guys were the perfect targets for him to hone his skills.

Cracking his neck and flashing a smile at the five men before him, Ye Chen asked playfully, "Is the academy going to step in if we have a little fight? What happens if someone doesn't make it out alive—will a teacher come to save the day?"

The moment those words left his mouth, the five burly men grinned wickedly.

"Seek justice? Hahaha! You really think if you get bullied here at Spirit Hall Academy, you can run to a teacher? That's just silly."

"In this place, as long as your fights don't cause a huge uproar, no one cares. Even if you're the direct disciple of His Holiness the Pope, if you drop dead tomorrow, don't expect anyone to pick you up, kid."

Believing Ye Chen was just a scared newbie, they all laughed heartily. When they heard his name from Su Mei, they expected him to be tough, but it turned out he was just a fresh recruit.

If they managed to get rid of him, it would certainly be the highlight of their night!

"Ah, now I understand why my senior sister, the strongest link, faces bullying in the academy. Seems like Su Mei is just jealous and deliberately isolating her."

Then, Ye Chen summoned his Seven Star Demon Abyss Sword, unleashing a wave of soul power that sent the nearby trees swaying.

The short-haired burly man suddenly felt an overwhelming force bearing down on him; a look of uncertainty crossed his face as he said, "This guy is only a level 40 Soul Leader. Why is his soul power so intense? Even I, a level 53 Soul Lord, feel pressed—this isn't good."

Before he could finish his thought, a flat, semi-circular flash of sword light shot towards him. It was so quick he only caught a glimpse of red and felt an icy sensation at his waist.

"This can't be happening."

As his vision began to fade and the world tilted, he hit the ground hard, the last thing he noticed being several lower bodies still standing around him.

The onlookers were momentarily startled but quickly resumed their activities, most only glancing at Ye Chen before moving on. A few nearby students gasped in shock, their expressions revealing their disbelief.

However, the situation soon returned to normal; everyone went about their day as if nothing had happened.

Seeing this, Ye Chen sighed to himself. It was no wonder that Spirit Hall was so formidable. Its new generation thrived under such a ruthless elimination system, where only the strong could survive, making life uncomfortable for the weak—it's just so harsh.

After a yawn, Ye Chen made his way to Room 3 on the 10th floor of the West Building and promptly fell asleep.

Since the dormitory rooms at Spirit Hall Academy were single-occupancy, Ye Chen avoided any potential roommate hassle. Once he woke up and had breakfast, he set off for his advanced class.

This advanced class was a special one, tucked away in a small courtyard on the back mountain. Ye Chen had gathered that information from various sources before his arrival.

As he entered the small courtyard, he spotted Hu Liena there, along with a guy who bore a resemblance to her. From his appearance and demeanor, it seemed he was Hu Liena's biological brother.

The small courtyard didn't have many people—only about seven or eight. But aside from Ye Chen, Hu Liena, her brother, and a red-haired man, most were talented students around level 50, with one even reaching level 59.

By looking at their ages, it was clear that the oldest among them was no more than 18.

"Ye Chen, come over here! The teacher will arrive soon, so don't slack off!"

Hu Liena called out with a much friendlier tone than before, likely due to his assistance with Su Mei.

"Bibi Dong is coming?"

A spark of excitement flickered in Ye Chen's eyes. He didn't want to be stuck within the Spirit Hall; spending time like this was a massive distraction from his original plans.

If he could seize the chance to meet Bibi Dong, all his problems would be solved. The corners of his mouth turned up in a smile; it was rare to have the opportunity to see her, and today felt promising.

"She's coming!"

As Ye Chen moved closer to Hu Liena, he suddenly felt a hostile gaze upon him. Looking up, he immediately caught sight of the red-haired man glaring at him, anger gleaming in his eyes as if something dear to him had been stolen away.

"Who is that, Senior Sister?" Ye Chen asked, pointing at the red-haired man. Hu Liena frowned at the sight and replied, "Just an irritating guy—I can't stand him."

"Then who does the Senior Sister like?"

Ye Chen was taken aback as Hu Liena's lovely face flushed momentarily, only to quickly return to normal, but he had noticed.

"Just stand there and stop chatting."

After giving him a playful glare, Hu Liena turned her attention away just as Bibi Dong descended gracefully from the sky, holding a scepter and radiating an air of authority and sacred nobility, as if she were untouched by the mundane world.

She surveyed the group below and, upon spotting Ye Chen, waved at him.

"Me?"

Ye Chen felt a bit bewildered but approached her nonetheless.

As he drew nearer, his heart began to race; being this close to her mesmerizing figure and stunning beauty made his hands tremble with excitement.

He thought, if he could just reach out and touch her, everything could turn around.

"What are you staring at?"

A chill ran down his spine at her cold voice. Ye Chen looked up and, with a grin, replied, "Master is looking so beautiful today—can't I admire that a bit?"

In a surprising turn, Bibi Dong whispered softly, "Isn't this Empress stunning even without the fancy dress?"

Only she could hear her own words.

Ye Chen scratched his head and quietly replied, "Even without makeup, Master is the most beautiful woman—no one can compare!"

Bibi Dong's expression was unreadable, but she remained calm. Then she coldly warned, "Say one more word, and I'll cut your tongue out."

With that, she called Hu Liena over, positioning her right next to Ye Chen, and addressed everyone sternly: "From this moment on, this Empress hereby grants Na'er to Ye Chen in marriage, and the wedding will be set soon!"

The announcement sent shockwaves through Ye Chen and everyone else present—they hadn't expected Bibi Dong to come and declare something so incredible.

Just when Ye Chen was beginning to think this was all a joke or a trick, Bibi Dong continued, "But anyone who objects can try to take the bride; as long as they can defeat Ye Chen, they can become Na's fiancé. The wedding battle will commence in three days!"

Note : Guys, some power stones will be really helpful.
