SIGMA: The Rise of a New Era

Are you ready to embark on a new adventure to a high school campus with teen werewolves, where the competition is not between Alpha and Alpha for the territory, but an Alpha and a Sigma- or are they even competitors? David Matthew, the Alpha-in-training of the Eclipse Pack has been preparing to take over the leadership of his pack and over the disputed Crescent territory by fighting his prime enemies- the Alphas of the Orion and Moon packs. But his expectations are largely subverted when he finally comes face-to-face with the rumoured Alpha of the Moon pack for the first time, Nora Rovery. _ Nora Rovery has led a mostly secluded life uptil now- scorned by her father, disregarded by her mother and her existence largely hidden from the public eye, under a carefully-crafted web of lies. She has understandably set high hopes for her first day at the new high school- which promptly seems like a bad idea within the first thirty seconds of encountering the school bully, David Matthew. Come along on this ride with David and Nora, who are born to be enemies, but end up forging their own path, true to their rebel spirits.

Trapped!

David had planned pretty much everything from bringing her there, to keeping her there and how to find and confirm her identity, and was prepared for almost every possibility; but the one thing he was not prepared for at all, was this sudden encounter.

He had already noticed the sound of the invisible bubble, but as the siren had not gone off, he didn't bother himself about it and kept working on the net.

But the very next moment, there was a girl, who seemed to have travelled through the invisible bubble for the first time and would definitely have broken her beautiful nose if he hadn't broken her fall by catching her in his arms.

Only after he had caught her in his arms did he realize she was just as unprepared for encountering the force of the bubble, because she had thrown her full body weight on him, making him fall to the ground.

Once he was sprawled on the ground with the intruder struggling to hold her head up long enough to determine his identity, the first thing that registered in his mind were the emerald green eyes of the girl whom he had eagerly been waiting for!

'But even though his wish had been fulfilled early, he did not find himself happy- he was too bothered by those eyes of hers, and not only the eyes! Those stubborn little baby hairs which had encroached upon the milky skin of her forehead, the reddish cheeks of hers which were ready to give a tough competition to all the cherries present in the forbidden forest that surrounded them.

He definitely needed to do something about this girl, he realised with a start, because she had again started messing with his head. The more he got bothered because of her, the more he became sure of her identity being anything other than an Alpha!

But why...why was he so bothered because of her! Nora Rovery, the hidden princess who had not been allowed to meet anyone apart from the royal tutor, and whom no one had been allowed to meet either! Was this because she had the ability to mess with anybody's mind? Maybe she was able to divert them from anything and everything-

The moment this thought appeared in his head, a snippet from his recent memory followed it. The memory of Robin making room for her, and letting her sit by him in class!'

He didn't know what possessed him just after that memory surfaced, because without any premeditation, he heard himself speaking.

"I think, I am really the Moon Goddess's favourite Alpha in my generation! Look, I was just thinking about you and she has sent you directly to me!"

And as if it was not enough, he found himself wrapping his hands behind her back once again, which he had let go of after they had fallen.

'He knew he had messed up, but the thought of Robin sitting beside her was messing with his head even more!

Robin was his brother, and no matter whatever everyone said, he was okay with giving him a lot of things! Even the territory, if he asked him to- but not Nora! This girl only came under his possession, and only he was allowed to mess with her.'

Nora tried to get out of David's grip, but found it too strong to wrench herself free.

'Moon Goddess, why me!'

She complained internally as she tried again; and this time, surprisingly enough, he let her out of his grip himself.

She was quick to her feet and was about to rush in any direction as long as it took her away from David, because she was unable to detect any clue that signalled Adrin's presence there.

But a force made her stand rooted to the spot, and on turning to inspect, she found that it was actually David's grip on her wrist.

She gasped when he twisted it slightly, whispering ominously;

"Who told you that you can leave, Princess!? Because I don't remember giving you that permission!"

While David was immersed in his thoughts, he realised that she was struggling. And for some reason, her little twists of struggle in his own hands made him so conscious about her getting hurt that just like his hands had wrapped around her without his permission, they had let her out without waiting for any instructions this time too!

'What was going on with him, because something was wrong with him!'

This was the prominent thought in his mind when he stood up, after she was already standing on her own two feet. She was fixing her clothes, while her eyes were roaming in all directions, probably to find or locate someone.

'But the poor girl didn't know that the name of Forbidden forest had been given for a reason, and no one would be there!

There, to save her.'

Although no matter how pleasing the previous thought of no one being able to save her was to him, the fact that she was waiting...or looking, or even considering finding someone there started bothering him soon enough.

Thinking this, he crossed the distance between them, getting really close to her and grabbed her wrist right as she was trying to step away from him. He twisted it to make her realise the fault of the naive girl, and asked tauntingly;

"Who told you that you can leave, Princess!? Because I don't remember giving you that permission!"

She whimpered due to the unexpected, pinching pain of the twisted wrist and he found his grip loosening the very next moment!

'What the hell! There was something that had really gone wrong with him, and somehow, it had coincided with her arrival.'

He twisted her hand once again, as he couldn't allow himself to lower his guard now! After all, he was a bully- an extremely brutal bully that gave people nightmares.

Shrugging off that thought, he spoke again.

"Now tell me your real identity, dear Moon Princess, or else the results won't be good for you-"

"What do you mean by my real identity!? I am Nora, Nora Rovery! I am the Daughter of the Riverine couple, and Probable Alpha of Moon pack!"

"Probable Alpha!" David guffawed as he repeated her answer, and as all mirth drained out of his voice, he added, "That's a nice joke! Do you think you can still fool me after you didn't even respond to my Alpha voice for a fight!

No Alpha can resist it, none till date! And no one ranking lower than Alphas has the slightest chance of standing there without surrendering. And yet, you were standing there, without even flinching for once! Do you I am that big of a fool-"

"I don't know what kind of a fool you are, but the thing that I surely know by now is that you are definitely an idiot...a big one!

You are claiming that I am not an Alpha, just because I didn't respond to your Alpha voice! Then I would suggest you to think again, as I am the first born of my parents and-"

'Nora was herself unable to believe the confidence she had apparently gained in front of him; otherwise, a timid girl like her couldn't even imagine speaking like this.'

But before she could have soared higher on her power trip, her wings and words got cut off by him.

"You are not the first born! Don't forget that your twin holds that position, the hidden Prince. But in any case, you can't fool me now, because I already prepared in advance."

Saying this, he pulled out the red bundle and pushed her into the net that he had prepared for her.

"You will stay here, until you cut the net with this silver dagger, and touch it with your own hands- because no one, apart from a Sigma, is able to touch silver with their bare hands in the entire werewolf community!"
