Chapter 27

"Hello, brother."

Idris grinned widely, but her eyes were sharp like a beast.

"I'm glad you look well. You don't know how worried I was when I learned that you suddenly disappeared."

"Idris!?"

He couldn't believe that Idris managed to track his location.

Talkien's face contorted at the sight of Idris's hateful face. Every time he looks at her, his blood boils in hostility. He hated that Idris was much more outstanding than him despite her lack of interest and effort towards everything.

He envied her for receiving their father's acknowledgment and having a loving mother. All Talkien wanted was to gain recognition from his parents, but his aspiration became far-fetched when Idris appeared. Their father, Jeanne, began to favor and harbor great expectations toward Idris. While, Talkien's mother began to pressure him to win Jeanne's favor, afraid that she will lose her authority in the duke's castle.

You bitch! What the hell are you doing here!?" Talkien growled.

"Of course, I came to pick you up," Idris answered in a disgustingly soft voice.

"I've grown bored at those pesky worms you keep sending to kill me. So, I decided to come and play with you."

"That condescending attitude of yours is infuriating. Ha! Do you think you can kill me that easily? Arrogant sow!" He retorted.

"Oh my, aren't you the arrogant one, dear brother? You were lucky enough to avoid the purging four years ago. Do you think you can still have the same luck as before?" Idris snorted scornfully, "If you truly wanted to survive, you should have lived like a dead rat."

"Kill her!" Talkien ordered.

The women lying around Talkien stood up and moved to attack Idris. They swung their blades and threw their daggers indiscriminately. They were slaves, brainwashed to become cold-blooded killers under the command of their owners.

Idris grimaced.

"Wind Blades."

The women were cut mercilessly, freeing them from their cruel fate. Their blood sprayed all over the floor, and their torn flesh splattered on the walls.

At the expense of the slaves, Talkien prepared a teleportation spell for his escape. He knew that he couldn't fight Idris head-on. He hates admitting it, but he's weaker than his sister.

Just before the teleportation spell activated, his surroundings suddenly put into slow motion as if someone cast a time manipulation spell.

In an instant, Idris appeared in front of Talkien with her malevolent crimson eyes staring deep into his soul.

"Where are you going, brother?" she whispered as she grabbed his neck and slammed him on the wall. Webs of cracks appeared in the wall because of the impact as Talkien's back was hit against the hard concrete.

His face wrinkled in pain as he failed to cast reinforcement magic to protect his body.

"Cough, cough!"

Talkien was having difficulty breathing as Idris tightened her grip around his neck with her long nails digging into his skin. He couldn't believe that he was this powerless.

"Hahaha!" Idris laughed. Her eyes curved in enjoyment as he watched Talkien wriggling like a worm.

"Damn bitch!" Talkien gritted. He pulled out the dagger coated with poison hidden in his waist.

He stabbed the dagger using all his might into Idris's side. Blood gushed out as Talkien pushed the dagger deeper while twisting it.

Yet, Idris didn't even flinch.

"Crazy bitch!"

"Is that all you got? Do you think I will die of this petty attack? Ha, how pathetic!" Idris frowned.

He was so confident telling Idris that she can't easily kill him. Yet, he can't even escape from her grip.

Idris was annoyed. She had high expectations while thinking that she can have fun with Talkien.

She lifted her brother and threw him across the room.

Four large ice spikes appeared in the air and nailed Talkien's limbs to the wall.

"F, fire bullets!" Talkien desperately uttered and the fire bullets rapidly darted toward Idris.

As the fire bullets attacked his sister, he set himself free from the ice spikes.

Talkien didn't wait for Idris to counterattack. He fired another attack using Lighting Spears and Thunder Strikes.

"Die! Die you fucking devil!"

"Ha... Hahaha!" Talkien was laughing like a mad man as he poured all his magic attacks to eliminate Idris.

Unbeknown to him, a stealth sword appeared behind him.

SHING!

Before Talkien realized it, the sharp blade glided smoothly, cutting his neck cleanly. His head flew in, and with his eyes wide open, Talkien saw his headless body falling to the floor.

Idris swept her hair as she picked up her brother's head. She felt marvelous as her thirst quenched after seeing Talkien's dirty blood flood the floor.

"Let's go. We have a wedding to attend."

"Yes, Master." The three knights answered in unison.

* * *

The guest was filled in awe at the grandeur of the church decorations. The families of the betrothed did not spare a single dime for the marriage of Glen Palmore and Linda Chrissys, the crown prince's cousin.

Despite the luxurious decorations, the solemn and holy ambiance of the church did not change at all.

The orchestra began to play and the bride and groom walk elegantly to the aisle filled with petals of white roses. The priest started the ceremony as soon as the bride and groom arrived at the altar.

The wedding already started when Idris finally finished killing those damned pests who ambushed her. She was livid, after finding the evidence about the source of the drug that was secretly distributed in her domain. What's worse is the diluted form of that drug was the poison that killed her mother, three years ago.

Idris already had a suspicion but that damn sleazy culprit was careful not to leave any traces. However, thanks to her idiot brother, who hid papers of his transactions from the culprit, Idris no longer needed to hold back herself in tearing Glen.

The groom and bride were already in the middle of exchanging their vows when Idris suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Gasp!"

Everyone was surprised when they saw Idris's bloodied appearance.

Idris stood at the altar and pushed the priest out of her way, then she threw Talkien's head to Glen.

"Kyaaah!" The guest screamed in fear when they saw the severed head that was thrown at the groom.

Glen froze as Talkien's head hit him, staining his perfectly white tuxedo while Linda went pale and eventually fainted when Talkien's head rolled on the floor.

"Duke Dirvyr, what kind of rudeness is this?!" Glen's father screamed furiously.

"Shut up, you damned faggot!" Idris countered. "I've been so annoyed because of your good-for-nothing son."

"What the hell is this?" Glen butted after regaining his composure. He was surprised to see his business partner dead and Idris appearing to ruin his marriage.

Idris sharply glared at his audacious attitude.

"Ha!" She snorted. "Don't act innocent you son of a bitch. My patience has already run out Lord Palmore. You colluded with my brother to assassinate me, but I choose to ignore it for the sake of my entertainment."

She leaned forward and her murderous aura surrounded the whole church.

"However, your impertinence has already crossed the line when you touched my domain. How dare you sully my land with your filthy junks!"

Glen smirked as he resisted her intense aura. It was thanks to the magical item that he was wearing.

"My, you're throwing such grave accusations Duke Dirvyr. I didn't know that you hated me this much to the point of accusing me of doing such atrocious acts." He pretentiously said.

'Tch. This fucking bitch! How the hell did she figure out that I was the one spreading the drugs in Ravalan?'

Glen thought with his face crumpling inwardly. He really wanted to kill this bitch who was always spoiling his plans.

"Oh yes, I hated you so much to the point that I am itching to grab your face and use it to wipe the floor clean," Idris answered sarcastically and slapped Glen across his face.

Idris shot a lightning bolt toward Duke Palmore, who was trying to cast a high-tier spell to attack her.

"Do you think I wouldn't notice that you were just stalling some time?"

"Poison Mist," Glen cast, and green colored mist surrounded Idris but his attack was instantly dispelled by Idris's Blue fire.

"Every one of you shall die!"

Idris's eyes curved in madness as magic swords appeared behind her and darted towards the nobles who were also affiliated with filthy crimes.

The church was filled with screams as Idris's magic swords cut them into pieces.

Their agonizing screams became a wonderful melody as she pummeled Glen's face in delight.

"Kekeke! Kehahaha!"

Idris put her hand over her forehead and burst into laughter. She brushed her hair and wiped the blood on her face using the back of her hand.

The holy church has now become a sea of blood making Idris feel gratified.

Idris descended from the altar and walked on the bloody aisle while whistling happily.

As she came closer to the entrance, Idris noticed a man standing outside the Church's door.

"I-It can't be?!"

Idris whispered with her eyes wide open. She could move in shock as she recognized him.

He has the same face and the same mismatched eyes as Sidereae.

Her feet which were glued to the ground run toward the door. She stretched her arm to reach him as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Dad! Dad!"

Idris called but Elknox only look at her before turning his back and disappearing into thin air.
