The real life of a kunoichi

Tenten POV

I tighted my grip on Surume and threw one kunai to one of the the guards at the hideout. The kunai hit him in the neck and he fell down. The other guard was startled by it. That moment I switched with kunai. Before he can understand anything I sliced his neck. After searching and disposing the bodies I transformed into one of them and went inside the hideout. It was some kind of underground mine. After walking for a while, I came across a wide space that served as there camp sight. I didn't reveal myself. There were many routes connected to the space ' probably the way to escape if someone attack '

There are total 32 persons in there. And out of 9 tents, the biggest one seems boss room. I am no sensor. But I have picked up some tricks to atleast identify how strong a person is if he is not actually trying to hide it. Then suddenly I noticed something wasn't right there. So I unsealed my scroll and drew a chakra absorbing seal. Sure enough there are chakra inside the cave. It was probably some kind of sensing-cum-gen jutsu or a simple genjutsu. It turned out to be a simple genjutsu . There are 27 people outside. Except for the 5 inside the boss tent. I first decided to make sure that there are no hostages were being held inside. But when I went to see, I dreaded at the scene. There I saw a fat man with a very punchable face was raping a woman. The woman's clothes were intatters except for the leaf head band around her neck. There are three another women were lying around the tent naked. White fluids around there thighs. I didn't have to guess anymore. I applied chakra to Surume. I have done some upgrade to it. Like the plasma cutting function which increases the temperature around it's edges to such a degree that it can cut steel. Or the function of paralysis. With a flick I threw two kunais one near his eye line and one behind his back. And with a single swing I cut off both of his legs. The heat from plasma blade curturised the wounds so he would not die from blood lose. The paralysis function activated as well completely scilencing him. Removing his body from the raped woman, I put a chakra suppression seal on him. Then I checked on the women. All of them have passed away but alive. So I decided to finish my job as quickly as possible. I picked up a few rocks and marked them. Then I threw them towards different groups outside the tent. After that I continuously switched places, marked some bandits and killed some on my own. A few got killed by their own comrades when the attacks meant for me landed on them. Within a minute, I killed them all. My white top was covered in blood. I realised something. This world is crueler than I thought. Especially towards kunoichi. Sighing I went inside the tent again. All of them are unconscious. So I decided to take them outside.

I came out of the small stream after washing the blood of my body. My dress was too bloody so I sealed it away and wore a thigh cut red chinese dress . After making my hair I put up my chunin vest and headband and went to the camp. Sizuka has woken up an hour ago. After washing herself, she was preparing dinner. Seeing me she nodded lost in her thoughts. So I decided to ask.

"So he is an A-rank missing nin from iwa, Shirotsuchi of the diamond release ?"

"...Yes, he was good with genjutsu and had an impenetrable defence. He cut us off-guard....Thank you for saving me." Sizuka answered.

"It was my mission. Now T&I can extract information from him."

After she finished cooking, we ate in scilence. A few hours later the others woke up. After feeding them and sending them to the nearest town, I directly switched places with the markers I left on the village gate. It was an exhausting mission. Not phisically but mentally. After dropping the prisoner in T&I , we went to report to the Hokage. And getting a day off, I returned home.

"So you want me to lead the team for a A-rank mission , hokage sama ?"

I asked again to confirm if I misheard anything . I have gone on many b rank mission and a few A-rank missions in past 3 months, but leading another team is something that is new to me.

"Yes, you see I don't want you to go to Anbu. Atleast not so young. And your skill level is easily that of a jonin. You have reached quite a high level of fuinjutsu mastery. Although it's odd for a chunin to get a promotion so soon, especially in these peace times, but I want you to atleast become a tokubotsu jonin. This is just a test for that. You will have to lead another group of chunins to an A rank mission." The old Hokage explained.

Honestly it was quite an opportunity.

'It seems the old man is actively keeping Danzo away from talented shinobi now. I should accept this offer.'

"Thank you for your recognition Hokage sama. I will try to do my best."

The mission was that of a prisoner exchange. Konoha has managed to capture two kumo jonin who were inside hi no kuni without permission. One of them being hand guards of lightning daimyo. Now konoha has demanded a non aggression pact and 10 million ryos as compensation. The lightning daimyo has agreed to a peace treaty and 8 million ryos. After some negotiations, Konoha has agreed on it. So our mission is to hand over the two prisoners and collect the money. The raikage will come in upcoming chunin exams to sign the peace treaty. On paper it may sounds fine. But knowing what further holds Tenten was not sure about the outcome anymore.
