A strange voice appeared from nowhere and shook the whole world.

Along with the voice, half of the earth's population suddenly disappeared and never came back.

Standing in the middle of the crowd, a normal average looking man was queuing for food distribution.

" Here, a slice of beef jerky, and 2 loaves of bread, that's all for today."

" Thank you, sir."

The average-looking man took the food and held it like it was the most precious thing. He walked a bit further from the queue and stopped under a big tree.

" *Sigh* It has been 2 months since that incident. Hopefully, nothing bad has happened to Emi on the other side."

The average-looking man stopped his daydreaming and started to eat. The result was the most important thing for a resource-gathering member like him, and he was still pretty far from his daily target.

" If today I don't reach the target…"

" No, no. I must be positive. I'm sure luck will bless me if I keep my positivity."

With only a slice of bacon and two slices of bread, the meal didn't last long. The meal clearly wasn't satisfying, but to Krapven, it was enough for him to continue his life.

" Okay, let's continue our hard work for today."

Krapven finished his meal and walked toward the resource-gathering site.

Along the way, many other resource gathering members were there, and Krapven could hear them chatting with each other.

" Hey, do you know the Sword God has defeated the boss monster in the southeast area?"

" Bah, who cares with the Sword God. Only the archery goddess deserved my attention."

Of course, the most popular topic among the people was about top-level ranker. Since the mass transmigration 2 months ago, humans have gained special privileges from this world.

To a normal average man like Krapven, this world was worse than the earth. Even though he didn't have any noticeable achievement in his previous world, he could still eat to his full, and sleep in a warm bed.

In this wilderness world, a side character with no special skill like him will only be a stepping stone for the strong. If not for his diligent work ethic in gathering resources like stone or minerals, he would have been kicked out of the shelter.

Krapven ignored the people chatting around him and continued walking to the resource-gathering site.

He entered the resource-gathering site and greeted a few acquaintances along the way.

" Good afternoon, Durkam"

" Oh, sup Krapven. Still as diligent as always, huh."

The man Krapven has just greeted was Durkam, another resource gathering member like him. But contrary to him, Durkam could be said as a promising member of the shelter. His stats was the highest among the resource gathering member, and he has a pretty good innate special skill. It would only take some time before he was promoted to the hunting team.

" Oh, by the way, Krapven, do you hear the rumors?"

" Eh, what rumor?"

Durkam's words gained Krapven's interest. Durkam was different from the gossiping member outside; almost all of his information was relevant.

" It is about the hunting team gonna bring 5 members of our team in their hunt. They said they had found a new resource-gathering site, and they need us to bring the item back. Do you want to join?"

Hearing Durkam's word, obviously, Krapven was really attracted to the offer. But he still declined politely. He knew his limit, and bringing him on a mission like that would only burden the hunting team.

This time, Krapven didn't refuse. If Durkam said it like that, then he must be really confident.

After chatting with Durkam, Krapven continued his resource-gathering works. Even though Durkam has invited him to the mission, his current priority is still gathering resources. But still, looking at his weak stats, Krapven couldn't help but sigh.

' Am I really like the thing everyone called me? Side character huh, what a suitable name for someone who never accomplished anything in his life like me.'

All his life, Krapven has been called a side character. It's not like he was useless, but everything about him was just so normal that it is hard to remember him.

He was born in a normal family and had a normal education, work, and social life. Maybe the only different thing about him was the fact he is an orphan. His parents had left him and his sister in their early days because of a car accident, and the siblings have lived with their grandma ever since.

Even in this wilderness world, he could be barely said as average, with average stats and no innate special skill.

'Mom, Dad. If you two didn't leave us, will our lives be different?'

'*Sigh* Why am I getting melancholic right now? Let's hurry finish this and go to join the mission.'

Krapven stopped fantasizing and get back to work. He worked hard and was able to reach his target after 2 hours.

" Hey bud, finally done, huh. Let's go; the others are waiting."

" Sure, please lead the way Durkam."
