Shock and Denial

It has been years since Saber's departure. Alpha is on the field, getting ready for battle.

"Alpha, breakfast is ready!!" Rooney shouts so that Alpha can hear him. He heads into the house and sits on the table, waiting for his food.

"Here you go. Scrambled Eggs for the morning." Angela placed two plates on the table, smiling cheerfully.

"..." "Rooney? Did you let Angela use the stove again?"

"O-oh..." Rooney flinched "Um.. I just figured that, uhh... Angela needs to cook at least one, delicious food, ahaha..."

Angela acts as a maid in the household. She can do any chores. Except cooking.

That one time Angela made something gave Rooney a trip to the toilet for an hour. Alpha thankfully didn't ate one.

"Don't worry, Alpha. I have read a bunch of books just to perfect this." Angela still smiles.

"Books about Scrambled Eggs?" Alpha doubts.

"C'mon, Alpha. It's not like anybody ruins a Scrambled Egg" he said positively as he puts his food in his mouth.

History repeats itself. (As expected)

After they ate, Angela and Alpha goes out for an upcoming battle. Upon arriving, they already see their teammates.

"Hey!!" Layla shouts as she waves her hand.

They approach to them.

"You're late then usual." Fanny said as she cross her arms, giving them a glare as she has authority.

Fanny is the leader, she has more experience than them and the strongest of the four.

Grock is also here but he's always tired and silent.

"I've prepared a plan for this battle so everyone gather around"

After Fanny explained everything, they've entered the battlefield.

"I'm so excited." as Angela jumps excitingly.

"It's your first time after all." Alpha smiles

"Do you remember your training?"

"Hehe, yes." Angela giggles.

While they wait for the battle to start, they already see their enemies on the opposite side.

There, they see Gusion, Akai, Aldous, Cloude, and Guinevere.

Looking at them makes Alpha feel uneasy. But he knows that no matter the obstacle, they ca--

"We can do it" Layla is feeling positive.

"After all, we have Alpha and Fanny in our side"

Alpha then smile "How optimistic of you."

The battle begins.

After minutes of fighting, both teams are on a par.

Fanny slayed all but Cloude and Gusion in a moment.

Given as a chance, they decided that they will attack the lord while Fanny and Grock keep the remaining enemies occupied.

Just as they arrive, the lord has already been slain.

"What?!!"

Fanny is shocked and confused. "No one was here minutes ago, how is this possible?"

Fanny then takes a closer look. It wasn't an enemy.

A person wearing a cloak, stands beside the lord's corpse.

The enemy team quickly arrives.

From the quick glance of Fanny's team and the hooded figure, they suddenly knew what happened.

"You must have the balls to interfere with our battle." Cloude gave the figure a smug look as he slowly walking into him. His teammates then followed him.

"Look, Bud. I know you want to fight us but we're in a middle of something here."

Cloude starts moving closer to him, still in his smug look.

"So get out. And get some friends so we can fight after this"

The hooded figure responds

"Friends? Ha! I don't need friends."

"Huh?" Cloude is now confused

"Because I can kill you all myself."

As soon as the Hooded Figure unsheathes his weapon, Akai is in front of him.

Akai rotates like a tornado, putting him into the wall.

They've gone on an all-out attack. Hit after hit. Stun after stun. He is powerless.

Alpha later see something suspicious. The Hooded Figure just doesn't move. Even he had an opportunity to escape, he's still standing. "Just what is he doing?" he thought.

He is about to take the last hit.

"See ya" as Cloude fired the last bullet and Gusion moving closer as he gets the kill.

"Too Slow!"

He shoots out four flying swords.

Alpha is stunned.

Gusion, taking most of the hit, injured critically. He then attacked Gusion.

"One"

He charged at Guinevere, as his flying swords coming towards her.

"Two"

Cloude is also hit because he was behind Guinevere at that time. He proceeds to attack him.

"Three"

He then knocks Aldous into the air, landing three blows. Then petrifies both Aldous and Akai, adding a few hits.

"Four"

Akai, realizes the situation, tries to escape.

He puts out his flying swords again and charges at him.

"Five"

His hood is so torn that it fell to the ground. He turned around.

"Saber?"

Alpha knew he was strong, but not so strong that he can defeat them in seconds.

"Just what the hell happened to you?"

"Alpha. If only you've joined me, you would've experience this kind of power."

Saber was attacked endlessly earlier. But he is totally fine, as if nothing have ever happened.

"I'm not like the cyborg I used to, Brother."

"I...am the new Saber."

"I...am reborn."

"Nothing can stop me!"

"Alpha!!!" Alpha heard Fanny. He regained control over his senses.

He uses his spear to stun him. Angela launches a puppet string to stun him again.

The rest of the team continuously attack him.

"Foolishness."

"Is rushing in blind all you could do?"

Right after Fanny landed, Saber knocks her into the air and landed three hits and lets out his flying swords. Fanny miraculously survived. He charged to Layla, killing her.

Fanny retreated.

"Stall him for a while. I'll be back."

Saber is going after Angela next.

Grock creates a wall to protect Angela. Because of this, Saber came to Grock.

As he is near to Grock, he hits him a few times and shoots out his flying swords.

He is about to finish Grock until...

"SABER!!!!"

Alpha knocks him again, then launching a slash forward and with a help from Beta, he gains extra damage. He slashes him in a conical area, increasing his speed.

Alpha furiously attacking Saber, as he is getting weaker.

Saber has no time to retaliate, as he is about to die.

Alpha is going to thrust his spear to him.

"Immortality"

"...or Death."

His spear pierced his chest.

Alpha's jaw is wide open.

"Wha-what are you?"

Saber stabs Alpha in the stomach.

"Power, Alpha. Power."

He thrust Alpha deep into his stomach.

"Power controls everything, and without it you cannot protect anyone."

"Let alone yourself"

Saber pulls out his sword, making Alpha fall frail into the ground.

"Now, let me help you taste utter defeat."

Saber proceeds to slice Alpha.

On a brink of time, Angela merged with Alpha, saving him near death.

The shield broke, Alpha then pulls himself further to Saber.

"I guess you may have potential as well."

Angela tries to heal Alpha.

"Heal your wounds, Alpha. Get strong."

Saber opens a Dimension portal.

"After that, we will settle the matter."

He enters the portal, then closes.

After that, they didn't realized that their minion is going to destroy the main tower.

"Victory!!"

As the minion destroyed the tower, even if they have won, it felt like they've lost.
