April's POV

"April" my mum politely scream my name from the car garage.

"Mummy" i responded quickly from inside our luxurious apartment that was just rented two weeks ago.

"What's taking you so long? Do you want to spend the whole day in there?" She screamed again but this time she wasn't that polite, she was a little bit tensed up.

"Mum i will meet you there soon, i am trying to tidy up some stuff" i said immediately, putting some of my clothes and costume in my luggage, i heard my mum groan impatiently but i didn't care that much, i needed to be fully prepared for my journey to my new boarding school.

Yes! I would be starting a new boarding school in this new city. We relocated to this city two weeks ago because of my mum business. She was transferred by her departmental organization to forward the business activities in this new area. She works in an oil & gas company as a senior manager and she is indeed a busy type that's why she prefer putting me always in a boarding school since i am her only child.

I must confess that the relationship between me and my mum isn't that smooth.

Right from childhood i never enjoy the "MUM QUALITIES"

i never enjoy the privilege of having a mum to advice me, having a mum to cook for me instead she prefers buying food outside that would last me the whole day. She is just too busy with her work, too busy to wash my clothes, too busy to tell me bedtime stories, too busy to listen to my problems.

I was just a boring bitch at home always and when she finally noticed it, she came up with the idea of sending me to boarding school.

Right from my Jss1 to my current SS2, i have been a boarding student

You might be wondering "where is her dad?"

According to my mum, my dad died in a car accident two days before i was given birth to.

I never saw my dad. Assuming he was alive maybe he would have showered me with all the parental love and attention i deserved and maybe also, he would have stop mum from her over busy schedule i guess.

Now back to run reality!

I hurriedly carried my few luggage to the car garage.

"Oh thank goodness she is here" my mum commented in deep relieved.

I didn't say a word but deep down in my heart i knew she was only making me to hurry up so that she can register me in my new school and zoom off to her work place.

What a busy mum?

As i put my luggage in the booth, my mum was already in the car.

" come in April" she screamed from inside while starting on the car.

I quickly hopped into the car and in less than a minute we were out of our apartment.

The journey to my new school was indeed a boring one. Ever since i hopped into the car there have been total silence.

Normally a mum is supposed to give her daughter some motherly advice as they head to a new school but my mum refuse saying a word.

Oh God! What a boring mum?

I was so tensed and uncomfortable with the silence so i decided to break the silence and start a conversation.

"Mum you told me two days back that you have gotten a new school for me and it is the best school in town but you haven't told me the name of the school" i said amicably

"Hmm!! Apex high school" she reluctantly replied me but i didn't fell that bad cause i am use to her style of response.

"Wow" i exclaim "i cant wait to see...

"Enough April!!!!" my mum rudely interrupted me "Don't just say a word again.

I have a whole lot of business stuff on my head right now, so therefore i don't need your distraction" she snapped angrily

What? Did my mum just said that to me all because i tried involving her in a discussion? Common, who does that to child?

I must say, i am really feeling bad now.

I obediently kept quite till we got to Apex High School and my mum parked her car at the school parking car garage.

We both came down from the car and i rushed and got my luggage out of the car.

I was about moving towards my mum direction when someone forcefully stumbled on me and my luggage fell.

Oh my God! Who just did that? With the way i angry from the embarrassment i just got from my mum, i am going to surely unleash my anger on such person.

As i turn to unleash my anger on the stupid fellow that stumbled on me, i saw a handsome face starring at me. I froze immediately. I lost words to say. This guy is too handsome.

I don't know if i should angrily question him for what he just did or offer him a friendly handshake.

I was so captivated by his cuteness that i forgot that mum was watching.

"You fool why are you starring at her, instead of you to apologise for what you just did and help her pick her luggage,you are busy starring at her that way" my mum barked angrily

Oh ma! I am sorry. I was just.... Umm.. Actually... Sorry ma. Sorry for what i did "

Handsome face said confused.

His voice was so soft and tender.

Something in me was not just happy when mum was yelling at him.

I hope i am not crushing on handsome face?

I hope so because i am always shy around guys. Shy freak like me.

I watched how handsome face picked my luggage and gave it to me. I couldn't look at his face again. It looks like my shyness spirit has overwhelmed me but i could sense that he was looking at my face when he was handing over my luggage to me.

Handsome face hurriedly left after that. I wonder where he was hurrying to, maybe that was why he mistakenly stumbled on me.

"Follow me quickly let me register you and leave this annoying place" my mum lamented and i quickly followed her to the principal's office.
