Unfortunately, they died in a plane crash, and Kazuichi never overcame his bad habits of being a shut-in, largely because of his preying relatives. Fast forward to four years later, Takemi Kazuichi still stayed in the house left by his late parents. He never bothered going to work or going out to socialize with people. For the lack of a better term, he was a rich hikikomori. He never even bothered to check the news or log in on any social media. All he did was live his life in solitude, devoid of any human interaction. One day, as he came out of the shower, he heard a strange thumping sound by the doorway. "That's weird, I didn't order any delivery today." He told himself before absent-mindedly opening the door. And what stared back didn't resemble a human at all. It was a zombie— or so that's what the first thing that came into Kazuichi's mind. Unbeknownst to him, the world had drastically changed, and he was the last one to know.

Announcement— 11/08/2022

Dear readers,

I know you've been looking forward to the next chapters of this novel and I'm trying hard to write as much as I could. I already have the storyline done, but writing the actual chapters take some time. Tomorrow, we'll be having our midterms, and it's going to last for three days. That means it's a hellish streak of exams... which is going to suck my brain dry.

If you've been following me for quite some time, you might know that I dropped out of school for five years and took a grade advancement test. Now I'm in college, and I'm still not used to school life. I'm barely keeping up with my studies as well as work and the usual stuff in life. It's pretty difficult, but I'm doing my best... I think.

From this day all the way to next week, I won't be able to update. This is an announcement for a mini-hiatus. Once again, I'm sorry for putting it off... and thank you all so much for the support. In any case, I'm going to continue my updates as soon as the midterms are done. I might even upload a chapter during it if I have the time... but I think it's highly unlikely since I want to focus on my exams. I can't botch this, it took me so long to get here.
