Should have remained crush

Warning: (Mature content) Which is more painful? Losing your childhood friend or losing your other half? What if your childhood friend is also your other half? Life with Ray was perfect. Perfect family, lovely kids, lavish life...everything was perfect. But then Ray had to die leaving Laura an emotionless object. She became immune to pain. She forgot how to care and in the process, she pushed her friends away. She needed healing. Or maybe love. But the media wouldn't make things easier for her. Every tiny bit of her life was captured and featured on the dailies. Her immediate best option was you hide; Hide her life, work, kids, friends and love. Hiding her feelings wasn't easy though. She was hurting the other party in the process. Dario Anderson. Our dark eyed knight. If the media was the issue, then he had to be more powerful to control the media. If he was the issue, then he had to change to be worthy of her love. If his age was the issue, then he had to convince her that age was just a number. If her kids were the problem, then he had to convince them that he wouldn't try replacing their father but would try helping their dad finish what he had left unfinished. What about if his family was the issue? What if the Andersons hid some informations on Ray's death? What will happen if Laura came to know? There are so many hurdles that the two were to pass through such that they would begin questioning if their decision to become a couple was a good one. The main question is: Should they have remained crush? .

Gaming:

Dario was at Asher's passing time while looking at what he had achieved so far. Asher was getting irritated by his noise.

"You know you can read silently, don't you?" He scolded but was ignored by Dario who kept murmuring,

"In planning there'll be future ideas for gaming design to suit the teenagers, and the building is sorted and incorporation is still ongoing..."

"Shut the fuck up or leave." He snapped.

Dario looked at him feigning innocence, "What did i do? I thought you said you were gonna help me." He tried sounding pitiful which unfortunately Asher didn't buy.

"Me helping you and you making noise in my ears are two different things. I think I've changed my mind."

With that, Dario became serious. In as much as Asher wasn't that much of help in business ideas and management, his company was enough help already.

"I'll behave."

Asher gave him a 'i don't believe that shit' look before asking what had been in his mind all along.

"Why?"

When he saw that 'what do you mean' look from Dario, he explained. "Why business? Why gaming? We all know that your wealth can cater for your next three generation so why...?"

Dario chuckled.

"It's not funny."

"The three generation thing was funny." He raised his hand in surrender when he saw the glare he was being given.

"Because someone told me even with my inheritance, i had no chance with Laura." He tried sounding pitiful. He'd been doing that alot lately and Asher was getting sick of it.

"You know i didn't mean that, right?"

Dario knew that very well. It was just two friends bickering but after thinking things through, he saw sense in that. The visit to his dad was the last strike i guess.

"I know you didn't."

"Then?"

"I'm lazy."

Asher took out his ear pads intending to block the nuisance of a guy but failed when Dario grabbed them.

"You don't believe me."

"You don't believe me," Asher mimicked.

"I just felt like doing something to earn my own money. The past few days at R&L were great and i just don't wanna go back to lazying around."

Asher nodded in understanding. He can see where Dario's point of view and it really made sense. What, however, didn't make sense is the businesses choice. Never in his life had he thought of Dario as a gaming person. Dario was not a fun of gaming. He was much into photography and movie production. That is why Asher gets confused anytime he thinks about this.

"You're so bad with names, " He commented out of nowhere.

"Gaming is a generic name, Ash."

"I know but who the fucks chooses that as a company name."

"Did you expect me to use your name?" Dario mocked but later chocked when he had "Of course since I'm your best friend" from Asher. He threw the pillow to shut him up starting up an annoying pillow fight between them.

It was just an innocent pillow fight between friends nothing more.

Later on when they were back to being serious, Ash asked why he choose gaming.

"I don't know. Maybe because you like playing video games."

"I'm serious, D."

"It will be a helpful future tool maybe."

So that is how rich minds work. You wake up and just think of starting a gaming company because it'll be useful in future. Useful in future here, to our Dario, is to use it as an incentive for Derrick to be on his side. But Asher needed not to know that.

"What did your father say?"

Dario tensed for a while which Asher missed. He didn't even give it much thought before answering him with, "he has no right to know."

Asher left it at that. He already knew that topic was always a touchy topic for his friend. When Dario told him about his mother even before the two became friends, he understood at once that family topic with Dario was always a touchy topic.

"And Laura? What are you gonna do?"

"Marry her." He answered with the atmost seriousness.

Asher mouthed 'whipped' to which Dario attempted to glare at but failed terribly when he couldn't prevent the twitch forming at the corner of his lips.

"And Alex? What are you gonna do?" The question seemed stupid to Asher and anyone else who heard that but to Dario it didn't.

"Where the hell are you going at with that?"

"Nowhere. Just thought you wanted to meet your idol." Dario was grinning.

"I didn't say i wanted to." Dario gave him one last look before they went back to getting serious.

The perks of being rich.

It was only one week since Dario and his father's encounter...one week since he thought of starting up a gaming business...just one week yet the 'Gaming' was already busy.

Incorporating a company should take approximately two weeks less but Dario managed that within a week. So gaming was already a legal entity with Dario Anderson as the CEO and with already fifty employees under him. Everything was set: It was already registered for taxes, business accounts were already opened, permits and licenses were ready, the businesses was already insured and necessary contacts made.

Dario was of the idea that Asher to come help him in the management but Asher refused claiming he was not ready to get involved in Dario's mess. The two had laughed it off and Dario didn't press. He knew Asher had other plans...plans to take up another course. The engineering course he first took, according to Ash, was one of the worse decisions he ever made.

The inauguration wasn't that big. Only close friends were there. A total of seven people including Blake, Ash, Cathy, May and two other friends of Dario and Ash.

Everything always works out. The restless seven day period paid. Even as he looked around the office and saw everyone got busy, he couldn't help but be proud. That was the beginning of a new life for him. A life without Anderson shadows.

Same with Gaming, it'll be the whole focus of the sequel.

Do you like the new Dario? What do you think Ash's dream course is?
