Timmy's Cold Brew

It's a breezy day. The sun is high in the sky and the only clouds that float above us are thin and majestic. If you stand still and watch them long enough then you'll be able to watch them as they drift by. It's warm, but not hot. The perfect day to go to Tim Hortons and get a farmer's wrap, a donut, and even one of their amazing drinks. In weather like this, you can go for both warm or cold, either can be comforting this morning. Fresh lilacs swarm my senses as I mosey through a park on my usual route to my favourite Timmys, it all brings me comfort and relaxes me from the weekly grind. I always look forward to going to Tim Hortons, even when I was just a little kid. I've always enjoyed their ice caps and was overjoyed when they added the ice cap supremes, especially since I've been asking for them even before they came out. Now the plain ice cap is a nostalgic taste since I moved onto its more sweeter cousins, the ice cap supremes. I can taste the sweet coffee already.

I exit the park and stand on the other side of the street from the Tim Hortons, waiting for the lights to change. A car with all of its windows down drives by, a boy and girl in the back seats enjoying their orange juices and gnawing down on some Boston creams. Two women sit in the front seats, sipping on their coffee and blasting some music. That alone lifts up my spirits even further. I loved those mornings as a kid. Getting some Timmys, blasting music and singing at the top of our lungs as we go for a drive in the rare but amazing weather.

The light finally changes, and the lilac scent fades as I grow closer to the Timmys. The brick building stands tall in front of me, the same as it always has been. As I enter inside, the cool air conditioning and freshly made coffee comfort me as I wait in line to order. It appears that they've added a new drink to the menu. A cold brew. There's vanilla and an original. My brother has been drinking cold brew much more lately, so I guess that I should give it a try.

It doesn't take long for me to finish ordering and get my food and drink. The very first thing I do is sit down and take a sip of the cold brew. It's bitter at first and slowly becomes more palatable as I continue to sip it. The liquid is dark red and possesses a Tim Hortons kind of arabica flavour. It's mind-boggling for me, all Tim Hortons products always have their own distinct flavour compared to other products. You will always be able to identify when something was made from Tim Hortons, and that's amazing.

Just like every morning, Timmy's has prepared me for another day of hard work.
