Hidden Beauty

Shane walked slowly to her first lesson, her thick, black laced bandana covering her eyes and nose. She wore a black hoodie and baggy black jeans. Everyone believes she's actually a he. Not like she wanted to correct that.

She opened the classroom door and stepped inside, ignoring the teacher who was complaining that she was twenty minutes late. She walked to the desk in the far corner and sat down, the only thing her mind receiving being the word 'detention.'

Ten minutes later, and the door to the class is opened yet again. She hears three male voices and three female voices replying to the teacher about their lateness.

Shane pursed her lips. New students. She heard the teacher giving them a detention too, not caring that they were new and did not know their way around the school.

After school

Detention

Shane walked into the empty classroom and sat down on a desk at the back. She leaned back on the chair and closed her eyes, eventually succumbing to the darkness.

Only five minutes later however, six new students entered the room in silence as they were all bummed about getting detention on their first day.

"This is so annoying," Jaxon, a blonde guy with blue eyes and tanned skin, remarked.

"I can't believe we got a fucking detention on our first fucking day!" exclaimed Liara, a petite young girl with luscious black locks and sparkling green eyes. She had a foul mouth, but was as sweet as they came.

"Hey guys... shut up! There's someone else here, and I think he's asleep!" Jasmine whisper-yelled, twin sister to Jaxon and sharing the same features as him. She pointed to Shane, who unknowingly slept away her time in detention.

"Ooh, is he hot?" Mia squealed quietly, trying to get a peek at the person beneath the hood. She was the only girl who acted like a girl within the group, with long brown hair and warm brown eyes.

"Really, that's what you care about?" Axel, the 'big brother' of the group of six, retorted. He had nicely defined features, with curly black hair and brownie-coloured eyes.

"Hey, have any of you seen him before? Why does he wear a hood?" Blake, the hilarious joker, noted. He was tall, with crystal blue eyes and cropped brown hair.

Mia went and peeked beneath the hood to see a bandana covering the guy's features. She slowly removed the piece of cloth, but the slight movement jolted Shane awake. Her eyes shot open to reveal gorgeous, endless pools of sapphires, the colour of her eyes as beautiful as the deepest ocean.

She stumbled away from the group of students who stared at her wide-eyed, but still unable to see who lurked beneath the hood. They didn't know that the he was a she - all they knew was that he was awake.

Shane swiftly turned to face away from them, however she was caught off guard when Jaxon reached for her hood and yanked it down.

They gasped.

She turned around and stared at them in a panic. Only seconds later, she was fixing her hair; voluminous golden locks cascaded down her slender form as she hurried to tie them up into an elegant updo in mere moments. Her hair was like spun-gold. Her lips were as red as the purest ruby, and her skin was as flawless as they come.

Shane tied her hair and threw the hoodie on, before snatching the soft lace material from Mia's hands and tying it gently but firmly.

She ran out of the room in urgency, desperate to get away: she left behind six individuals who were frozen in jaw-dropping awe.

Liara was the first to snap out of it. "Woah..."

Mia followed suite. "She's gorgeous..."

"What..?" the three boys chorused, still in utter disbelief.

"She was breath-taking..." Jasmine muttered.

They all shook their heads and began to leave the classroom. Well, it seems like they weren't going to be sleeping tonight - and if they were, they'd probably never want to stop dreaming.
