"Why do you have to go?" Stefan asked. "Have to go?"
"I don't….know!"
"Caroline! Two weeks ago you were making fun of the guy!" He tried to argue. "A thousand years old and sapping over a girl…Isn't that what you said?"
"Don't say that about Klaus!" She said hotly.
"Carolin…"
"I am going!" She said, "And there is nothing you can't do about it!"
"I know that, Caroline." Stefan looked at her, holding her arms. "But….Just be careful."
"I will be fine! I'll be with…"
"Don't say Klaus!" He raised his hand, "You are not that girl! You are Caroline! You protect yourself!"
"I know…I know," She told him. "I'll be fine."
"Promise!" Stefan pressed her, "Promise me, you'll be careful!"
"Stefan. I'll be careful."
Stefan smiled. He was uncertain. He didn't know what had overcome her. Why was she suddenly flying to New Orleans? To Klaus….?
A few weeks ago, she hated him. But two days ago, she broke up with Tyler. She didn't cry. Her humanity wasn't off. And...now she was already packed up, and was leaving for New Orleans.
Caroline Forbes landed in New Orleans, and came into the Mikaelson house,
"Hello?" She knocked on the door. "Is anyone in there?"
She came into the house. It was open.
"Klaus?" She shouted.
"Caroline?" Klaus Mikaelson was standing at the top of the stairs.
He was holding a glass, and it fell on the floor from the first floor to the ground.
"You came….."
"I did." She smiled.
She had a suitcase with her,
"I think….I might stay for long time,"
"Fine with me." Klaus grinned.
Caroline Forbes was having a fantastic time in New Orleans, but she kept talking about something being missing from her and Klaus did everything to fix it.
But he couldn't fix it. He couldn't uncompel her. Because he didn't even know about it. Maybe he didn't pay that much attention to that, since he was always busy. He was busy protecting her. Protecting from his enemies.
Six weeks when Caroline had come into the city, Klaus proposed, and Caroline accepted.
Two people were most surprised. Klaus himself, and Elijah.
The person who missed Caroline the most was Stefan Salvatore. He hated Mystic Falls without the idea of his best friend. He almost found himself following her to New Orleans, but stopped.
He was shocked when he received a wedding invitation. What the hell was she doing? Why was she getting married? Caroline was a paranoid planner. How could she agree to a wedding in a month's notice?
What the hell was wrong with Caroline? Something was wrong. So, he accepted.
He accepted the invitations when every one of Caroline's friends declined. but....Caroline didn't care. Stefan Salvatore was going crazy. It was as if Caroline had changed in these six weeks. He had no idea what had changed.
But Something had Happened to His Best Friend.
"Damn you, Klaus!" He punched the wall of his door. Punching a hole in the door. "If you hurt her, at all…..I'll kill you myself."
He said to himself, well aware of the fact that even if he had a white oak stake, he couldn't kill him.
"I hate you, Klaus." He was angry,
Klaus was changing her. And he hated that.
He suspected Klaus was forcing her, compelling her to be the way he wanted her to be.
He hated the fact that he could have saved her from him, and stopped her from going to New Orleans.
He hated Tyler for not being there for her, and making her choose the wrong man.
