June 1899. The chief of the African tribe led the hunter to the sacred location. The hunter spat out his cigar and walked forward. The chief tried to stop him. "Please wait, you'll be killed."

"I won't," the hunter replied.

The chief stood there, asking, "How can you be so sure?"

"Because I'm white."

He was then trampled by elephants.
