The First Dungeon Raid

Arriving at the entrance of the cave, Ranata is confronted by ten Kobolds with various stature guarding the cave. Three of them is bigger than the others, evidently a bit stronger but still weaker than Kobold Sergeant. Ranata nod after confirming their status and skill which is very weak compared to him. He immediately rushed to them. In return, the Kobolds raised their screams and also charging toward him together with their spears stretched up front.

"It's time to try my magic! Come forth, Wind Blade!"

A long horizontal wind blade is shot toward the Kobolds. With 46 SPI, which is almost double dozens times higher than ordinary person spiritual power (Remember, ordinary people in the former world have average stats of 2) the wind blade formed is so wide that it can slash through six Kobolds running side by side in the frontline before slashing the stone wall behind them, leaving a thin mark on cave stone wall.

[Wow, and all it cost is only 1 SP? Magics sure are convenient!]

[Well, with Master's abundant SP and high amount of SPI, it sure is easy. But if compared to ordinary Magicians in this world it's hard, you know? They usually can only shot 15-20 times before needing to rest for a day. And every shot is just like a single bullet or sword slash which can only kill up to 2 adjacent Kobolds. There is no comparison with you.]

[I feel very sorry for those magic enthusiasts who spend all of their life time learning magic. I only need to kill three dozens of Kobolds in four hours and now I already surpassed their power which they have spent their whole life to learn by effort. Skill Breeder is truly a Cheat! Ha ha ha!]

[It's only for ordinary magicians raised from common people with limited resource. For those Geniuses born in a Noble or rich family with abundant resources, their power is completely on a different level, though.]

[Of course, just learn and train have it's own limit. Aside from them, there are many resources which can raises your status. Magic items, enhanced foods, even strengthening ritual, you name it. They are like doping items or stat plus items in game terms.]

While chatting with Celes inside his mind, Ranata come toward the Kobolds and cleave them with his sword. Every slash of him take one or two life in an instant. In a single breath, all those Kobolds have died, laying on the ground.

Chiming in and smiling like innocent kids who get a new toy from his parent, he pluck off their core and rummaging their pouches. Now there is 6 pouches dangling around his waist. It's getting heavy right now.

[If only there are things like storage magic or items like cosmos bag, backpack of holding or even storage ring, things would get very convenient.]

[Oh, there should be a magic pouch with capacity equal to a storage room or a warehouse sold in the magic store, as for backpack with larger capacity, that is too expensive for us right now. Chatting in his mind with Celes, he walk in the cave. The interior is dark, but thanks to his darkvision, he can see well like in an open space on midday. Celes finished her confirmation regarding the cave's situation.

[There are 40 Kobolds, 8 Kobold Sergeants, 4 Kobold Captains and 1 Kobold Chieftain inside. Also, there are 12 Dire Weasel and a Fang Wolf as their mounts. And I feel an Evil presence deep inside the cave. It should be the Boss. Want me to give you spoiler?]

[Nah, don't. It will kill the thrill. It's our first Boss Fight. We should enjoy it very much. But thanks for the information, anyway.]

Killing on their way, it is not hard to proceed in to the cave. The usual mob is 10 Kobolds + 1 Sergeant + 1 Dire Weasel, then a Captain and another Dire Weasel added in from the middle area.

After killing 40 Kobolds, 4 Kobold Sergeants and 2 Kobold Captains, Ranata finally reached a hall in the underground. There are a Kobold Chieftain mounted on a Fang Wolf accompanied by 4 Kobold Sergeants and 2 Kobold Captains, each of them mounted on a Dire Weasel.

"Human, wha….!"

Even before the Chief finished shouting, Ranata flashed toward him. His AGI is effectively above 250 by now, his movement is so quick the eyes of common people can't follow it anymore. In a single breath, 14 heads rolling on the ground, all of their eyes wide open in shock. All the Kobolds and their mounts are finished in a flash.

"Hooo~ That Kobold can talk? As expected of a Mid-Boss. He sure has intelligence. But sorry, I need to kill you for getting stronger."

Looking around the hall, skulls lined up along the wall and the ground. Even human's skulls can be seen among them. And many of them are small sizes, probably from childrens.

A testimony of the Kobold's cruelty.

"Despite being small and weak, they sure are vicious. Preying on little kids? What a pedo race they are."

[No matter how weak, monsters are generally stronger than human being. Although Kobolds are weak, they are still comparable to an adult human. Sometimes they raid the surrounding village to rob their farm and kidnap the children and livestocks.]

Hands do the work while mouth do the talk. Chatting while looting as usual, Ranata found something from Kobold Chieftain's corpse.

"Jackpot! We really hit it big right now! Haha! Is this the typical protagonist's luck? We got an item right when we need it."

[Well, you are the protagonist of this story, so surely it's a common occurrence? Expect more of them to happens in the future.]

With a satisfied laughter, Ranata opened the pouch and sorted its content. Mainly its raw foods and herbs. They are still fresh like just after they are picked. So Storage Pouch can also preserved it contents because they exists in another dimension where time doesn't flow. That's very much a convenient. After trying it out for a while, he got a hang of how to draw and store items in it. You only need to confirm your intention before putting your hand into the pouch and immediately the desired item will be held in your grab. Very very convenient. Nodding his head, he store back all the necessary items and pouring in all his coins and monster cores while putting out the unnecessary junks like trophy skulls, feathers and other waste. He hide the pouch in his shirt while hanging ordinary pouch filled with a bit of coins and monster cores on his waist. It's a safety measure against thievery. Outside, the dawning sky color has changed to purplish rosy tint, signing the coming rise of the sun. He has not sleeped since transported to the otherworld. But the tension and excitement has won over his drowsiness. Beside, he have taken a nap in the day for preparation on stargazing last night. Beyond it is the Boss Room. With creaking sound, he opened the door and walk inside. In there, he see it. The First Boss he will be faced against in this other world.

"A… Brain….?"

A Brain the size of a full grown pig with bronze color floating in the air. Surrounded by black aura, with many purple tentacles wriggling all over it's body give it a sinister appearance.

A report come in from Celes, giving information regarding the enemy.
