Many who heard the name were shocked at first, a bastard had entered the rankings and was the second on the rankings, even higher than Jaime Lannister and Ser Barristan Selmy of the Kings guard.

He was even higher than the famous true born sons and was just a bastard of the North.

Some were already thinking of bringing the bastard into their family and legitimising him, thereby making him take up their family name and bring in the reward to them.

From what they could see from the rewards given all the rankers so far, the higher up they are on the ranking, the better the reward, the bastard would be a force multiplier and the descendants will have their family blood, thereby increasing the power and influence of their family.

Some knew of Jon Snow particularly Holster Tully and the whole of the North, the fact that he had the Stark bloodline meant the Starks are more powerful now and would not be easy contend with.

[Jorah Mormont: "Is that not Ned Stark's bastard?"]

[Jaime Lannister: "Are you sure of that?"]

[Jorah Mormont: "Yes, he should be the bastard, since the scroll said that it would include fighters from the future, it possible that in the future he would get very good with his weapon of choice, most likely the sword"]

[Syrio Florel: "Jon Snow, send your thoughts to the scroll so that we can confirm who you are, are you Ned Stark's son?"]

The world watched with curiosity to see if the one to receive the next reward would be of the Stark bloodline.

Ned Stark POV.

Winterfell, The North.

The whole of Winterfell were surprised that the name Jon Snow appeared on the rankings, though none were more surprised than Jon himself.

All the other children looked at him in awe and shock, Barn and Arya in particular, Bran has said he wanted to be a knight and join the Kings guard, seeing someone who would surpass them later on in the future is likely making him feel excited, just like Arya is too, the wolfblood is strong in her, just like Lyanna, she would be very proud of Jon.

Theon and Robb look at Jon in shock, also very surprised that someone they faced on the training yard every day would one day be the second strongest warrior in the known world. The fact that he is the one on the rankings is very shocking to them.

Meanwhile Catelyn is glaring at Jon while hugging Sansa, who was still shaken about what happened to Joffery a while ago, Cat still resents Jon and wants him sent to the wall, Jon looks very uncomfortable and stiff under her glare.

"Cat enough, stop glaring at him" I speak, if I do not stop this, she would not allow him to talk and might drive him away.

"But Ned, he cannot be the Jon Snow on the rankings, it might be a different person named Jon Snow, not him" Cat replied while still glaring at Jon.

"Catelyn, that is enough! He is my son, allow him to speak his mind" I turn to face her while glaring at her, she get even unhappier and turn her face away.

"Yes, Lord husband" she replied.

"Jon speak" I say, eager to hear his suggestions and if possible confirm he is the one mentioned on the rankings.

"Fa-Lord Stark, I want to ask if I could reply and send my thoughts to the scroll to confirm if I am the one on the rankings, the scroll said that those who are ranked on the list can send messages and their thoughts to the scroll" Jon asked, he made a good suggestion but I still need to ask him a question.

"Your plan was to join the night's watch, but with the scroll showing up and if you are on the rankings, you will be granted a reward, what would you do with it?" I asked, wanting him to give me an answer.

"Lord Sta-" he began, "No Jon, call me father" I interrupted and asked of him, Cat began to glare at him but I gave her a pointed look, it seems both of us would need to have a talk later.

"Father, I know that as a bastard, I am a stain on your honour and that there is no place for bastards among true borns, I know I have no prospects and I want to go to the wall to serve as the shield of men, in that way I would gain honour, but with this scroll rankings, if I gain a reward, I would give it to Robb as he is the heir to Winterfell and I would go to the wall" he said, I was surprised and unhappy about what he said, even though I did not sire him, he is of my blood and I cannot let him be like this, it must Catelyn that is telling him those things so that he would go off to the wall, she keeps saying Jon will steal what is rightfully Robb's, and I should send him away, she already hates him and made him have this mindset, he does not like being in Winterfell with her and wants to go to the wall to escape her, even if it means that he would have no prospects and future again, I really need to talk to her.

"But that is not fair, Jon would work hard in the future to become strong, it is his own reward for his hard work later" Arya said by happy at all by what Jon said, "it is because of you saying mother, isn't it?" Arya accused.

"Arya!!" Cat shouted, shocked at the disrespect.

"But you are the cause" Arya insisted.

"Arya, stop that, apologize to your mother" I shouted, Arya should not disrespect her mother, not even she is right.

"But it is not fair and it is the truth" She said.

"Arya Apologize now" I said while looking at her.

"I am sorry mother" she apologized while

"No, that would not be necessary, you will keep your reward and you will not go to the wall"I said, both Catelyn and Jon voiced out their shock.

"I thought going to the wall your desire and that you wanted to be a ranger, but I can see that is not true, you are taking the black bacause you feel you have no option, but that is not true, to can become one of Robb's loyal bannermen, you can be legitimised and have your own holdfast and be under Robb, you can journey to Essos and be a sellsword, you can be a master of arms, a soldier even a merchant. You can do what you want because you have a lot of freedom and prospects that even true borns do not have because of their obligations" I can see the shock on all of my children faces and Cat's.

"Do not worry about the wall, I would legitimise you and you will have your holdfast and become one of Robb's bannermen" I said, Jon began to shed tears and thanking me before being hugged and congratulated by all his siblings except Sansa, it seems that there a lot of issues to discuss with my wife later.

"Jon, you can try to send your thoughts to the golden scroll and confirm you are the one on the rankings" I said, he was released from the hug before we all looked up to the scroll to see if he is the one.

[Jon Snow: "Yes, I am Ned Stark's bastard"]

General POV.

The world was surprised that a Northern would once again be on the rankings, number ten with Jorah Mormont and now number two with Jon Snow.

They began to think of ways of tying their house to the Starks.

Tywin was not happy because he might not be able to influence or have any sort of control over the bastard, Ned Stark cares for his bastard and distrust the Lannisters a lot, because of what the mountain and Amory Lorch did during the sack of King Landing and also because if what Jaime did to the mad king.

[Oberyn Martell: "Do you want to come to Dorne, bastards are welcome here and there is lot of goodness and pleasure for you to enjoy"]

[Jon Snow: "No I do not want to do that, it is not honourable"]

[Oberyn Martell: "Hahahahaha!!! You are truly the sin of Ned Stark, the same desire to be honourable"]

The scene on the scroll changed to show Jon Snow in all black clashing the wildlings that surrounded his group, the scene changed again to show him cutting down several men of house Bolton and shouting "Ramsay Snow! You will pay for killing Rickon".

The scene changed once more to show an older Jon Snow cutting down several rotting and dead men, some have even withered into bones, all were shrieking and surrounding him and group of wildlings.

The changed again to show him clashing with a being that is clearly not human, it looked like it was made of ice, and also wielded a blade that seemed it was also of ice, the two clashed over an over on the battlefield till Jon Snow stabbed it in the heart and it shattered in pieces of ice, the surrounding undead falling down with it.

[Jorah Mormont: "The blade you were using is my house ancestral blade Long claw, it seems you took the black and went to the wall"]

[Jon Snow: "That meant I must have received it at the wall"]

[Jorah Mormont: "Those beings of ice you were fighting against in that image on the scroll resemble the description of the others, the white walkers of legend, you were also fighting wights, does that mean they will come through the wall and attack Westeros?"]

[Jaime Lannister: "No, that is not possible, they are just stories, like the grumpkins and snarks"]

[Jorah Mormont: "I don't think the scroll would lie, it is very powerful and it can see the future, it also has a lot of powers and can give powerful weapons, it does not need to lie"]

The scene on the scroll changed to show a man facing an army of several thousand men, he grasped the sheathed sword and unsheathes it, the blade was black in colour, a black that sucks in all light surrounded by a purple aura. (the blade looks like Excalibur Morgan of Nasuverse)

His eyes turned gold and changed shape to that of a wolf, before he roared and charged at the army, cutting down the enemies with ease, the sword easily cut through the armour of his enemies as he moves with speed, strength, ferocity and reflexes far beyond what a man could accomplish, even beyond what the Nemean armour could do for the wearer.

He dodged and weaved through attacks while lights rose from those he had slain and entered the sword sheath, he used the sword to deflect arrows and spears thrown at him.

There were several dragon glass spear thrown at his feet at the same time which explodes with flames and dragon glass shards throwing him far away and injuring him while killing some soldiers close to him.

He get up as if he was not injured, the glowing life force from the sheath enters into his body, healing him and restoring him to full health, he then hold the sword up and call the name "Arodnight Alternative", a purple surrounds his sword like flames before a huge beam of aura comes out from the sword and penetrates a nearby hill, he moved the sword around decimating the remaining army.

The beam ended, and the surroundings look completely leveled and scorched, the life force of all the slain soldiers gathered into the sheath before flowing into the man's body, clearing his exhaustion, the man slammed his sword into the ground summoning a phantom dragon which he climbed on and rode the dragon away.

The scene changed to show Jon Snow in the grounds of Winterfell with the whole family of Starks standing close to him, the sword appeared in his hands he strapped the sword to his waist and pulled it out, admiring it, the handle of the sword suddenly grew spikes and pierced into his hand, the sword began to glow before he fell into his knees, his hair grew a bit longer to reach his shoulders with a single streak of silver hair and purple eyes.

He stood up and assured them, "do not worry, it is the bloodline activation, father I discovered something from the blade I must discuss with you later".

"Alright" Ned Stark replied.

The scene on the scroll changed to show Jon Snow name appear on the rankings in the second position.

Many were envious of Ned Stark's luck and began to think of how to connect to the Stark family, because Jon Snow would definitely be legitimised.

The weapon the Starks gained is a very terrifying one, with it siege warfare is meaningless, it is also an anti army weapon like the Targaryen dragons, plans would need to drawn up, Robert Baratheon just gained another powerful weapon through his friend.

People waited with bated breath to see who the number one ranker was and what they would gain, the voice announced again.
