The Day Everything Changed

Ned's POV

Watching the family being happy together is a good thing, watching Bran chase Arya around brings joy to my heart.

I am just about to ask my wife Cat about Sansa when a golden light fills the skies as far as the horizon, a sense of pressure fills the air around us telling us that is not natural in any way.

Screams, shouts, gasps and prayers come from the whole castle and some drop to their knees asking the old gods for forgiveness, I shout: "Arya, Bran, Robb, Jon, Sansa! Quick, come here".

'What is going on?'

A golden scroll then appears in the sky, the scroll is very massive and am sure it will be able to be seen all the way to King's Landing.

The scroll begins to unfurl slowly and at the same time the pressure increases drastically and the castle and it's ground begins to shake, a wierwood tree begins to sprout and grows very quickly.

Breathing becomes harder, my heart beats faster, there is a pressure in my chest that is suffocating and my body feels very heavy.

The whole castle is in panic and some are even crying and begging the gods and praying to them for forgiveness.

Cat is crying beside me and holding on to Rickon and the other children are crowding around her,I can feel they are all terrified.

I begin to pray to the old gods for protection from the golden scroll that is causing all this when all of a sudden the shaking and the pressure stop, only skies continues to be filled with golden lights.

I look up to the sky only to the scroll has completely unfurled and there is a title on it saying: The Golden Records List.

'That is a list?'.

I turn to my family to comfort them, as I hug Cat and all my children I can't help but think of all the chaos this is going to cause.

A loud and tremendous voice sounded spoke in the skies, it sounded like a combination of many voices speaking at once in tandem.

General POV

The voice said: " Congratulations, World of Planetos, you all have been chosen for the Golden Record List, the higher you rank on the list and answering the questions from the list can grant you things from life span, cure from all kinds of diseases, resurrection, legendary weapons and items, even powers, whatever your heart desires, the golden list can grant them all".

"Only those with strong fate that their actions or a significant action that they take would influence thousands of lives and affect many more in the future, wether for good or evil, will be chosen to answer the questions".

People all over Planetos pondered the word that they heard in their own languages and were anticipating being on the list and answering questions then getting powers and riches.

Many smart people have already concluded that it is only people that are high born, descendants of the high born and people that that can interact with and influence the high borns or nobles.

Many concluded that it will be Royals or the Lords paramount and their banner men that will be called by the list to answer the questions and become more powerful.

Meanwhile some people that are really not important are already thinking that they will be called upon and are already feeling proud thinking they will rank high on the list and answer all the questions and become even more powerful than ever and that they will have it all. *cough*Joffrey*cough*

Some are even thinking of killing of their enemies so that they don't rank on the list and threaten them or even use the honey trap tactic and seduce them so that can gain some benefits from them.

"The first list will start now and by midday the first five chosen will be picked to answer the questions".

"After the questions are answered the rewards for each ranker on the list will be distributed to them".

"The rewards cannot be seized from the ranker, it can only be given to someone else by the ranker willingly".

"There will now be a little bit time given to take in these events before the list begins".

There was surprise everywhere and those that were planning on capturing or kidnapping the rankers and forcefully seizing their rewards began to reconsider and start thinking of how to coerce them into willingly handing it over and then getting rid of them or keep them around so that they can get more rewards to bring to them.

Whatever happens people all over Planetos now know that world is going to change and be very chaotic from now on.

The great game players begin to think of how to readjust their plans in order to account for the chaos the list of would cause and how they would benefit from it.

The world is changing and all have to adapt or be eliminated.

"THE FIRST LIST BEGINS NOW".

Hello everyone, this is the very first time I am writing a fanfic, please constructive critisms, I can still improve after reading one piece golden list and some other fanfics this idea has been in my head ever since, you might notice thing similar to other fanfics there.
