15 15 Fast-forward
In training ground 3 both Gai and Shigeo were seen sparring. Although mostly taijutsu, Shigeo was allowed to use ninjutsu and other ninja tools since he was against a jonin while Gai mainly used bare handed taijutsu while occasionally using a kunai to fend off shurikens or kunais thrown at him.
*Ding!* *Ding!* *Ding!*
"Come on Shigeo! You can do better than that!" Gai said as he deflected shurkiens thrown at him.
"I know I can Guy-sensei!" Shigeo said as he suddenly appeared next to Gai and used a Shigan variant.
Quickly putting both his hands out just at as his fingers pointed at Gai's side Shigeo suddenly performed Shigan will all ten fingers.
"HAH!" Shigeo said as he pushed his fingers to Gai's body.
"Gah!" Gai said as he suddenly flickered as he held his sides. He looked at his hand to see a little bit of blood.
"Haha! Looks like you have perfected that technique of yours Shigeo!" Gai laughed despite being injured and even gave him a thumbs up.
"Ineed, Gai-sensei. Though, I wouldn't have progressed so fast without you sparring with me for the past few years." Shigeo said.
"Nonsense, I will gladly help the future leaders of the village embrace their YOUTH!" Gai said. "Now why don't we end this?" He asked.
"Sure thing Gai-sensei!" Shigeo said as they both dashed at one another once again crossing fists.
They began to exchange blows but one could tell Shigeo was on the losing end. After all, Gai was an adult and not to mention a jonin. After a few more exchanges Shigeo clicked his tongue as he jumped backwards.
Quickly doing a few hand seals he took a deep breath and muttered "Water style: Wild Water Wave"
Suddenly a stream of large amounts of water came out from his mouth and headed towards Gai but Shigeo wasn't done yet. His hand suddenly started to coil with lightning as he combined it with his water jutsu.
"Combination Jutsu: Shocking Water Wave" Shigeo said as he looked towards the direction of Gai
*ZAP!* *ZAP!* ZZZ!*
But when the jutsu hit Gai was suddenly replaced with a log and just as Shigeo was going to move he felt something cold to his neck. Gai had appeared behind him as he held a kunai to his neck.
"Looks like it's my win Shigeo" Gai said behind him.
"Looks like it is, Gai-sensei" Shigeo said as he sighed. When sparring he made sure to try not to use his haki because he wanted to be able to react to attacks even without his observation haki. Since he remembered that haki could sometimes run out, if he ran out of haki and couldn't use his observation haki, he should still be able to fight.
"Well, Don't be so down Shigeo! You can already equal to most chunin maybe even most experienced ones too. Maybe by the time you are a genin you would be as strong as a high chunin!" Gai said.
"You're certainly more talented than I am!" Gai said patting him on the back.
It's been two years and he is now eleven years old. The past two years he had gotten some few things done. He had learned his chakra nature as Gai bought him the chakra paper as promised. When he tested it, he found that he of course had the lightning affinity, but also a water affinity.
At first he was bummed out but then he researched some ninja's and found that the water affinity is still pretty strong. Hell the second hokage was known for his water style and also the famous 7 ninja swordsmen are also water style users.
Of course he didn't know any water style jutsu, though he was lucky enough to get some from Gai as a birthday present as well as getting some more from the Nara, Choza, and Yamanaka household as well.
"Well, I guess I still have time before I become a genin" Shigeo sighed.
"Oh by the way I have something important to tell you" Gai said gaining Shigeo's attention.
"What is it Gai-sensei?" He asked
"Well I'll be getting even busier starting next week, after all I'm going to get assigned another genin squat" Gai said.
"Oh, that's right." Shigeo nodded. His last year in the academy is also start next week.
"So that means you won't be in the mornings and probably have to be doing missions huh" Shigeo said
"That's right! But don't worry, you can come by to check if I'm here. Maybe if my team see's an underclassmen working harder than them they will get more motivated!" Gai said enthusiastically.
"Err, yeah. Just don't try to make them wear the spandex" Shigeo said
"Haha! Don't worry, the spandex is only for the one that is most youthful!" Gai said
"Alright, well I have to be going now Gai-sensei. I have a part time job to do" He said as he bid goodbye.
"Sure thing!" Gai said

After Shigeo headed to his apartment to get changed he couldn't help but look at himself in the mirror. He was only eleven and he was 4'8 while most of the boys his age was 4'5-4'6 while the girls were even shorter.
'Well I guess, It's because of my use of Seimei Kikan' Shigeo thought. After all he used it to have the best possible type of body. As well as making his body as healthy as possible.
Looking at the boy with shoulder length black hair and vibrant green eyes staring back at him in the mirror he smiled before heading out.
He sported a black muscle shirt as well as a short sleeved green haori over it. For his pants he just wore dark blue anbu pants. He also wore dark green arm and leg warmers to hide his arm and leg weights.
He then headed off to the Yamanaka flower shop but as he did so he looked at his status to monitor his progress.

'This is pretty good progress. I do remember Reyleigh saying that it would take years learning Haki and that 2 years arent enough. I had years and I'm still far from mastering it, well maybe because I'm still a child but still. Though I did remember hearing that the fastest way to train it is from life or death battles' Shigeo thought. 'But I have a natural affinity towards Observation Haki through my lightning human abilities, I have already mastered it to the 'Advanced' class whereas Armament is still intermediate'
'My Chakra control had also got a lot better though my chakra is still increasing. The best time for the chakra capacity to increase is at ages 8-18 so I have about 8 years until I'll reach my maximum capacity. Anyway I should get my control at least to 90% to learn medical ninjutsu, since most medic-nin I have seen have 90 or above for chakra control. I heard that to be a medic nin requires great control so I still have to get my control up before attempting to learn' He thought.
Shigeo had wanted to learn it because not only would it be a good asset but he had learned that one of the Sannin, Tsunade Senju, had a technique in which enhances her strength tremendously. Although her technique wasn't actually considered medical ninjutsu, it was stated that one needed the concentration and chakra control required in medical ninjutsu to use it. So learning medical ninjutsu was just an easier route, and besides he would not only meet the requirements for that technique but also lerarn medical ninjutsu as well.
'My water ninjutsu is also having pretty good progress, I don't need to worry about lightning ninjutsu since I could practically recreate all of them with ease through my powers as a lightning human' Shigeo thought before he neared the Yamanaka flower shop.
"Good evening" He said as he entered. He looked and found Ino at the cashier since she was already old enough to operate it. She had also become one of the smartest females in the academy, through the years he had known her, she had become a close friend of his.
He had also remembered bits and pieces of info about her along with some of the main cast of the franchise known as 'Naruto'. He know knows that in his year there would only be 9 kids who would pass and become a genin and later be known as the rookie 9.
Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, as well as Naruto, Kiba, Sasuke, Sakura Hurani, Shino Aburame, and Hinata Hyuuga would also be part of it. 'Well, I'll make sure I also pass' Shigeo thought.
"Shigeo-kun! Good evening" Ino said with a bright smile.
"Is it just you today Ino?" Shigeo asked as he tried to look for signs for Inoich and Inami.
"Yup, daddy and mom are out. I was bored but thankfully you are here to accompany me" She said as she complained.
"Yeah, don't worry I'm here now" Shigeo said as he laughed at Ino's complaints before he joined her.
"Moouu! Stop laughing!" She whined
