Karine being as meek and submissive as she could be was easily forced by the men to the front. Having somewhat of a cowardly disposition she couldn't lash at those men. They thought she was a coward and couldn't fight back but weren't they the greatest cowards themselves?

When a pack of humans faces a tough situation, it is usually the weakest chain of the group that suffers the most. It is like how a rope when pulled with enough strength would have its weakest link severed first.

"Pardon? What was your name again?"

In fact Karine was so meek that her squeaky voice didn't reach Gozoto at all.

"Karine… Karine Meyer," she put a bit more force to her voice. Her legs were still shaking like crazy.

Gozoto noted down her data.

"Okay, now punch that punching bag with all of your strength," Gozoto ordered.

Karine nodded reluctantly. With fidgety steps, she closed in and closed her eyes. She punched with all she had.
