Chapter 15

ASUMA SARUTOBI

Asuma and his two teammates jumped back. The pressure emanating from their sensei was oppressive enough to make it difficult to even stand there. They landed on the ground as sweat dripped down from their chins.

"Can he really do that? Make us go back to the academy!" questioned Ebisu from the side, pale and shaking as he took out a kunai from his pocket.

"My father told me that a jounin sensei has complete autonomy over their genin, so probably yes. If he wants to, he can send us back to the academy," added Kurenai from the side. And during all this time, Asuma's eyes had been focused on their sensei, and he gritted his teeth as he finally decided to speak up.

"Guys! It's one hit," he began a bit louder as he got the attention of his teammates. And then they both looked at him, and he reached into his back pocket to take out his specially made chakra blades. He wore them on his knuckles as he got ready to attack.

"He may be a jou…."

"Ohh. So, it seems the famous Sarutobi is ready to face me. Come on, show me what the esteemed son of our respected Hokage-sama has to show for himself," taunted their sensei, and those words irritated him. Asuma pushed chakra into his feet and then broke out into a sprint as he rushed forward leaving his teammates behind.

"Asuma, wait!" he heard Kurenai shout but didn't bother to listen as he raced past her, determined to show their sensei exactly who he was. And then, just as he was a couple of yards away from him, his senses screamed at him to stop. But he couldn't stop his stride, and his sensei stood there.

"ARGH!" he grunted in pain as he felt something hit him hard in the gut. He was sent tumbling back, and he grunted in pain as his body finally came to a halt. His body screamed in pain, and his teammates rushed toward him.

"Asuma!" they said in unison as they landed before him, protecting him from any other attack, but their sensei did not move and stood there. He had not moved an inch.

"What the hell was that!" he blurted as he returned to his feet. Their sensei hadn't moved an inch, but an attack sent him tumbling back. How?

"How the hell did he attack me like that?" he questioned, perplexed at what was going on.

"Let me check something!" Kurenai suddenly spoke, formed a hand seal, and closed her eyes, and he felt her chakra ripple for a moment before she shouted.

"KAI!" and then she opened her eyes, and they widened as she spoke up.

"It's a genjutsu! Disrupt your chakras!" she spoke suddenly, and Asuma nodded and closed his eyes as he pushed chakra through his tenketsu disrupting the flow.

"KAI!" and then as he opened his eyes, they widened as he finally saw their sensei, yet this time he finally noticed how he was surrounded by rocks that were circling him continuously.

"You should be thankful that I am using only rocks! Had I used a blade, you would be dead by now!" cut in their sensei, making them perk up.

"Hokage-sama must be quite disappointed with a son like you. It took all of you minutes even to detect that you were under a genjutsu! Minutes which any enemy ninja would have used to kill you!" their sensei added in a disappointed tone, mocking him and his teammates.

"And Kurenai, didn't you have the highest genjutsu grade amongst the class? What a disappointment that it took you five minutes to realize that you were under a genjutsu!" said their sensei with a shake of his head, making Kurenai stiffen up.

"At this rate I am afraid I wont even have to move an inch," continued their sensei and suddenly the suffocating pressure from earlier returned. But it was more oppressive and suffocating than before.

THRUM! THRUM! THRUM!

The ground cracked as he felt the elder Hatake let go of his chakra entirely and push it out.

"So, why don't the three of you just give up, and we can all stop wasting our time," said the man, his face devoid of any emotion as his hair rippled ominously, enhancing his menacing presence.

The three of them were shaking under the sheer presence of his chakra, and Asuma found it even difficult even to move an inch. Sweat dripped from his face as he looked down at his hand. And he finally realized exactly what kind of monsters were waiting for them outside the village.

The weight of his headband finally dawned on him, yet he knew he couldn't give up. So, he roused his chakra and pushed it through his coil and, much to his body's protest, took a step forward.

Yet surprisingly, he wasn't the only one, and he looked to the side and found the determined faces of his teammates right there alongside him. They gave him a nod as the three of them continued to move forward despite the menacing chakra of their sensei.

"Sensei, we are just getting started," Kurenai began.

"We are going to show you what we are made of," added Ebisu.

"And we are gonna hit you so hard that you are gonna have to go to the infirmary!" snarled Asuma making their sensei smile.

"Oh, then why don't the three of you show me what you are made of, huh!" said their sensei as he gestured for them to attack him.

OHASHI HATAKE

Ohashi watched as his three students stood opposite him, battered and bruised, barely able to stand up. They stood there huffing for breath as their time nearly ran out. His reserves were dropping low for he had been continuously using his new technique.

Over the six months, he had thought a lot about how to improve, and that was when while conversing with Jiraiya sama about Suna's puppeteers, inspiration struck him. The arts of puppeteering was a closely guarded secret of Sunagakure, but chakra threads and manipulation of chakra threads was something that was rather common knowledge.

Of course, few had the patience and skills to use such a technique, but his control was impeccable, and he had a perfect idea.

And so Organon was born.

Though he was using rocks this time, the plan was to use tantos and then obscure them with genjutsu as they circled around him in specific chakra paths, acting as perfect defense and offense. Combine that with his Mist technique, and it was the perfect technique for facing a larger number of shinobi at once.

"So, are the three of you done?" he questioned as he pretended to yawn. And the three of them perked up at his words and shook their heads in defiance.

"Not at all. We still have to land that punch!" shouted Asuma as he wiped away the blood from his chin. And then he glanced at the clock and saw that only a minute was left. So, he motioned for them to come at him.

"It's a minute left. Show me what you can do!" he told them, and the three of them crouched down and rushed at me together with a united nod. Ohashi's eyes narrowed as the three of them entered his range, and then the first boulder rushed towards them from the side.

They were able to dodge that one, but as soon as they took a step in, two more tried to sandwich them, yet, Ebisu pushed forward his teammates, letting the boulders hit him. He grunted in pain as the boulders knocked him out. His friends took advantage of that and rushed forward, now merely a couple of meters away from me.

And just as two more earth boulders were about to hit them, Asuma began to gather chakra as he cycled through a rather familiar set of hand seals.

"FUTON: GALE PALM!" he shouted, and instead of attacking me, he pushed his female teammate forward, making it so that she came right in front of him. A smile appeared on his battered face as Kurenai cocked her arm to punch me.

Her attack was projected and was easy to dodge, but he didn't move. And the reason was that one of the boulders had been hiding right behind him, attuned to a vertical arc, unlike the rest of the attacks.

It was right above Kurenai and was headed down straight for her. She could have dodged to the right and avoided getting hit, but she didn't stop and pushed herself forward with her final step.

"ARGH!" she screamed as she extended her arm, aiming for his face. Yet the boulder hit her in the back, and he had deliberately slowed down its speed not to hurt her excessively.

BOOOOM!

"ARGH!" she grunted in pain as she hit the ground. The faces of her two teammates began to pale as they shouted her name.

"KURENAI!" yet she was in no state to answer as she struggled to get up.

TING. TING. TING!

The bell behind him rang, and he saw the three of them collapse to the ground. Asuma and Ebisu sat on the ground, looking at the sky as their faces paled.

Ohashi walked closer to Kurenai Yuhi and kneeled down, and placed his hand on the young kunoichi's back. He pushed his chakra into it to heal any injury she might have gotten.

"We are going to have to work quite a bit on your punches!" he said and saw the kunoichi stiffen at his words. Asuma and Ebisu looked towards him, and with his unoccupied hand, he pointed at the dirt mark on his chest and saw their faces morph as massive smiles appeared on their faces.

"Yeahhhhhh!" they both roared as Ohashi healed Kurenai's injuries. The kunoichi's eyes teared up, and Ohashi helped her stand up as he moved on to heal his other students, who seemed surprised to find him using iryo ninjutsu.

When he was finally done, he had all three of them stand together. As he finally made his introduction.

"When you go into the field, you will face opponents who will be stronger and faster than you. There will be circumstances where you cannot run away or call for help. A ninja's true mettle is shown in these moments of hopelessness as he pushes forwards despite the unfavorable odds," he told them, and the three of them nodded at his words.

"The resilience you three showed today is what you will need every day if you wish to traverse this perilous path of becoming a shinobi," he said in a forlorn voice.

"But with your talents and determination, I am sure that the three of you will do just fine," he said with a smile.

"My name is Ohashi Hatake, and I am a jounin of Konohagakure, and I will be your sensei," he finished.

The three of them looked at each other as they stepped forward and bowed their heads.

"We will be in your care Ohashi-sensei!" they said in unison.

"Ok, all of you go home and rest. I have healed your injuries, but you s need proper rest to fully recover. We will meet again tomorrow at nine in the morning!" he said as he waved at them.

"Have a good night!"

DANZO SHIMURA

Danzo Shimura stood in the underground as he read the reports from his subordinates about their failure to complete their mission once more. Over the past six months, he had ordered them to plant evidence against Ohashi Hatake, yet all his efforts to plant evidence had resulted in failure.

"Peacock," he said as he summoned the commander of his foundation. Peacock blurred behind him and spoke up.

"Yes, Lord Danzo," came the monotonous voice of his commander. And Danzo angrily threw the files at him and snarled angrily.

"What is the meaning of this?" asked Danzo angrily, and Peacock lowered his gaze.

"I apologize for the failure, Lord Danzo, but the new Intelligence commander has changed all the protocols and has rooted out our moles and does regular sweeps with his abilities," came the reply, yet Danzo wasn't in the mood to hear excuses.

"I don't wish to hear excuses!" he said as he pushed chakra into his hand and formed a seal.

"ARGH!" Peacock began to writhe in pain as Danzo activated the Cursed Seal placed on him. The operative writhed on the ground and begged for mercy between his screams.

"Mee…..cy..rd.cy!" yet Danzo had grown tired of all their failures.

"This is twice now that you have failed me, Peacock. First, you failed to assassinate him, and now this," said Danzo before he pushed more chakra into the seal. And the screams died down as Peacock's body flopped to the ground.

"Tch!" Danzo said as he began to think about his next plan. Hiruzen's patience had become increasingly agitated with him as he failed to produce any substantial evidence of his allegations against Hatake. And then there were the reports of men looking into his operations across the globe, which meant only one thing.

Someone in the village was planning to move against him. And he needed Hiruzen's trust to thwart any such move from succeeding. Then suddenly, he felt the shadows in the room rustle, making him frown before suddenly a voice interrupted him.

"Perhaps we could be of assistance!" came a snarly voice, and Danzo frowned when suddenly Peacock's body began to rise up. Yet a dark shadowy mass was expanding over one side of his body.

"Who are you?" Danzo questioned, his eyes narrowing in anger and mistrust as he tried to understand who or what this intruder was.

"You can call me Zetsu, and we are the manifestation of your will, Danzo-sama!"

OKIE! Danzo is backed into a corner and quite desperate, and there is someone here to take advantage of that!
