Chapter 95: Follow my heart

Shuishui enjoyed her school life very much.

They had only spent the past few days in peace. However, the school atmosphere had become tense by Friday because of the math competition. The exam results wold determine who among the competing students would be qualified to enter the next level of the competition.

There were groups composed of fifteen Grade 12 students, ten Grade 12 students, and two Grade 12 students.

Being with the Grade 12 students was the most stressful, but at the same time, they were also the least expected to participate. The most important thing for them was simply to participate.

That afternoon, they were gathered together.

Shuishui saw one of the participants from Class 1. She only knew that his name was Jiang Liran. He wore thick glasses and looked at the people around him with confidence.

They sat down, and the invigilator and a few other people who looked very unfamiliar appeared. "I hope everyone will respect and obey the exam rules. Shuishui received the document and had studied it. It was an agreement that would guarantee that she would not cheat. Shuishui gracefully signed her name.

Each student also quickly filled out the document and handed it in.

The invigilator looked at the time. At exactly two minutes before three o'clock, the examination papers were handed out. They were instructed to place the paper facedown on their desk until they were given further instructions to start the exam.

At three o'clock, the invigilator nodded and said, "You can start now. The test time is one hour and fifty minutes. You can hand in your test paper ahead of time."

Everyone immediately took their papers and studied the questions before they even thought of how to go about the exam.

Shuishui looked at the questions and started to answer them one by one.

The questions were not difficult, but they were rather complicated. There were a few complex trick questions that had only two choices for the answers. Shuishui paused for a moment and proceeded to the other questions while she thought about how to answer the trick question.

Shuishui felt relaxed. The test was filled with relatively complicated questions, but she studied them carefully. She had finished writing at half of the allotted time. Shuishui checked her answers one last time and submitted her paper. "Teacher, I'm done."

"Hmm. I wish you good luck," the teacher said with a smile. He thought that the students of the third high school must all be very good. Although Shuishui had finished her exam ahead of time, he remembered that she was a first-year student. He thought it was already very good that she had persisted.

Shuishui looked at the time. The others still had 20 minutes left to finish the exam. She could only wish them good luck as she strode out of the room. When she returned to her classroom, there was a class meeting. Shuishui casually walked to her desk.

Mu Qing hurriedly asked, "How was it? Was it difficult? Were you nervous?"

"Student Mu Qing, the class meeting is currently in progress. If you have anything to say, we'll talk after class," the form teacher sternly said to Mu Qing.

Mu Qing sat down and remained silent. She felt very awkward.

The form teacher glared at Qian Shuishui to warn her.

The teacher had called for a class meeting to talk to the class about their homework. Some students had not handed in their homework. She had issued a stern warning that in the future, students who would commit the same offense would be punished.

"The monthly exam will be next week. I hope everyone will do their best to pass the exam." The homeroom teacher led this class. The most important thing was to pass the exam. The teacher had not been very fond of Shuishui. It seemed that many of the teachers had a high evaluation of Shuishui. If Shuishui did well in the exam, she as her teacher would also feel proud. She encouraged the class to work hard. She knew that if they worked hard, they would definitely improve.

The students who had better grades were unwilling to admit defeat. They wanted to give it a try and see how high their ranking would be. They felt that the placement of the key classes was very fair. There were only a few students in the key class, and they were assigned to the normal class. The others were confident they would qualify.
