When they arrived, Michael led her up to his room but she was hesitant to go in, maybe because of the traumatic experience she had not too long ago.
"You're scared that I will turn out to be like him?" Micheal could not help but burst out laughing at her cute little face, her grey eyes which had fear in them made her look away, she looked adorably cute like a scared kitten.
Elaine did not give a reply to Michaels question, but her silence spoke volumes as her response was clear enough to understand.
Michael gently squeezed Elaine's hand, offering her a reassuring smile. "I understand your hesitation, Elaine. But I promise you, I am nothing like him. I am here to support you, to listen to you, and to help you through this difficult phase."
Elaine looked into Michael's eyes, searching for any signs of deceit or judgment. Finding none, she finally nodded, her fear slowly dissipating. "Okay, let's go in."
