107 She Made Him Angry

"Darling, do you really believe that Talia had nothing to do with the accident?" Zunnie whispered into Alex's ear as she pressed her chest against his back, making herself more comfortable.

He was carrying her back to the room.

"I don't know. Do you think she does?" Alex answered.

"W-Well, the first time I... uhm met Tami was the day she came to my office. She had said she came to warn me. She angrily voiced to me that I stole other women's men and used my family's fortune to claim them. She was really adamant. I was surprised because I had never met her until that day... yet she seemed to know about me. It was a few days after I had dinner at your parents. You know, that time Talia showed up unannounced. No-one else knew that I was in a relationship, so I figured Talia must have had something to do with it. But after what you said tonight, I recall she did mention that I should leave you and Carson Maule alone. Don't you think it's odd?" She reported to Alex who had been quiet the entire time.

Alex remained silent and continued walking toward their room. When they arrived, he sat her on the bed, took a chair and set it in front of Zunnie.

She looked at him curiously, confused by his behavior. Zunnie could sense that he was up to something. She had uttered all this information, yet he had not spoken a word since then.

'Is he angry?' she could not help wondering.

She had seen him angry before and it was not a sight she wanted to witness again.

Alex hardly ever got mad at her and as she quietly watched him pace the room, she became nervous. She played with her fingers like a little child about to be scolded. Seeing him that way she knew she had to say something to distract him.

"D-Darling, we should go to bed now. We can come up with a plan tomorrow." Her voice was so soft that she wondered if he had heard her.

Still, there was no reply.

"Hone…." Alex stopped suddenly, then walked back to where she was and sat in the chair before her.

Zunnie was afraid to look up at him. She kept her head bent afraid to see the darkness in his amber eyes.

"Look at me!" His voice was harsh and demanding.

She slowly raised her head to meet his glare.

"Don't you think this was something you should have told me that day it happened?"

Zunnie's eyes grew wide, but she nevertheless nodded her head.

"And why am I learning of this now? Honey, do you think you're in this marriage alone? How can you not tell me when persons are bullying you? You almost died for God sake! Can you imagine how I feel after hearing this?" Alex said angrily.

She was about to bend her head like a scared kitty-cat, but Alex wouldn't let her.

"Please look, I want you to see how angry I am at you for keeping this from me. You must tell me of these incidents or else how am I going to protect you from people like this. How can I forgive myself knowing the person who threatened you in the past tried to kill you… and almost succeeded?"

He angrily stood up from the chair and walked toward the glass window.

Zunnie watched his back from the bed and her heart ached. She made him angry again, just as she had when she told him about Victoria Bell. She slowly slid off the bed and walked to him.

She hugged him from behind and held onto him for a while before she spoke.

"Darling I am wrong again, I'm sorry for not telling you. I dealt with Tami back then and never once imagined she would come back to hurt us."

Since he did not react, she snaked her body around him and was now standing between him and the glass window.

"D-D-Darling?" She asked looking up at him.

Alex was not looking at her. Zunnie frowned. She wanted to apologize but he would not even look her way.

"Baby, I know what I did was wrong…"

"And? You won't let it happen again…" He stated before she could finish.

She knew he was being sarcastic but she was wrong for not informing him that she had been threatened.

Zunnie pouted. Realizing that her words were not convincing enough, she got on her toes, pulled his head down to hers and kissed him.

'Maybe this will soften him up.' She smiled inside.

She kept kissing Alex, but he did not return her kiss. Wanting to make up with him, Zunnie slid her hand beneath his shirt and caressed his skin. She continued touching him and kissing him until he slowly began kissing her back. She smirked then pulled away from him.

"Now that I have your attention, can we really talk?" She smiled up at him.

Alex creased his brow and brought his face close to hers, stopping right before her lips.

His amber eyes piercing her deep blue eyes and his warm breath causing Zunnie's heart to race.

"You sure you'd rather talk than continue?" His coolness made her knees weak. If she had not been leaning against the glass she would have fallen to the floor.

"W-W-Well, I was uhm…D-Darling you're too close." Stuttered and tried to push him away. Her attempt at pushing him away was futile.

Alex grabbed her waist and pulled her into him, her soft body crashing on his.

The moment his lips touched hers, Zunnie moaned, astounding both her and Alex.

When she kissed him a few minutes ago, her body had not reacted this intensely. She closed her eyes and kissed him in return. She explored his full lips with her mouth, but that was not enough.

He broke free from her kiss and said;

"I want you right now, let's talk about this first thing in the morning."

He drew the blinds behind her then pressed his lips on her neck.
