Chapter 90: Everyone

"I tried to look for her after finding that phone last year but it took me a while, I already way too late but still I wanted to give it a chance" then Terrence also gathered himself and got out of the bed.

"I also don't know what to do anymore, it was like every single time that I try to get near to her it just doesn't work out"

Max just stared at his friend.

He knows that he is struggling as much as Mia's.

No one is happy in this situation that they got in.

"Since that day, I never even once forgot my sins to her and always see myself unworthy of approaching her and apologizing." Then Terrence looked at Max in the eye "I want to move on and take a step forward"

Another long silence envelope the two of them.

Max already knew what Terrence is thinking and for the past 4 years untold stories that they buried deep in their hearts are finally surfacing with hope of reaching out for understanding.

"At first I wasn't thinking of being together with her, getting back to where we used to be but as time goes by my greed got better of me and hope of having a chance grew into me" then Terrence again gave a sad smile and his eyes are full of pain.

"At one point, I just want to be selfish and chase for what I want, I wanted her to know that I did that for her, that my intentions were not to hurt her but it always comeback to me that I am the reason why it hurts her so much."

"If it will be of any comfort for you, it wasn't just you" Max sat down at the side of the bed fixing his gaze back to the children that were playing outside.

"Everyone of one of are to blame in this situation, it wasn't just you who, deep inside is currently blaming their selves" Terrence just looked at him as if he already knows but just accepted everything in defeat.

They have gone a long way, too much time have passed by in their lives just to wish to go back to what they have 4 years ago.

As Mia said before, they all grew up and everybody decided to keep their silence.

Yes, that became their problem.

"We all decided to keep everything to ourselves, no one dared to talked and no one dared to ask"

They have been complacent towards each other that nothing can get in between their friendship, to the bond that they have won't end just because something happened.

"We all neglected a person that we claim special in our lives."

Terrence also sat down beside Max.

"We took Mia for granted thinking that she's just there and will always be" Max added then he faced Terrence who is now sitting beside him.

"So it's just not you Terrence, we all take a part in this madness"
