A connection and a Reveal

"WOW... brain freeze.." said Alex.

I also looked surprised. So this photo was a turning point. I looked at Alex.

"That means the little girl we met that day must be Sarah," I said.

"Hmm.. yes..didn't we make her a little pinwheel," said Alex, and I nodded my head.

"I remember she had been treasuring a pinwheel for a long time," said Sarah's father.

"Ben, this means you guys have met before," said my father.

"Looks like destiny had played a role in your life, son," said Sarah's father and continued.

"When I come to think of it, I remember this lad, he was a bit shy but loved to snap everything he saw with his camera,"

"Do you think he must have some clue about Dave?" asked Alex, who was trying hard to make a pinwheel but gave up at the end.

"Best is to meet him. Get him to talk about it, so you will find a clue," said my father after a bit of thought.

After fishing for a while, and having a friendly chit-chat, Alex and I head back home.

"Hi Paul," said Alex as soon as he entered the home.

"I was trying to get hold of you both, but the girls told me the fun crime scene with photo evidence," he said laughing.

"MS.TOMBOY... you are gonna get it today from me," said Alex, going looking for Meg.

"Don't mind them. They provide free entertainment," I said inquiring why he wanted to call us.

"Mr.Willlson told me to bring you both tomorrow to his home,"

"Why is that?"

"His bother has said he wants to talk to you two, but he had also asked about LIttle Bud,"

I looked worried, why did he ask about her?

"Ben calm down, he just asked, because he remember Dave keeping a special eye on her, "

"hmm.. so tomorrow at what time are we going there?"

"He invited us to morning tea,"

After fixing the time, we agreed to meet at nine in the morning at my home. I also invited him to bring his wife and kid to spend the day with the girls. Sarah agreed happily as she loved talking with his wife, who was like a big sister she never had.

The next day we headed to Mr.Willson's place. Mr. Willson was waiting for us at his mansion which was just an hour's drive from my home.

After a short chit-chat, Mr.Willson asked someone to come in. A thin pale skinned boy about our age came in front. He looked rather frightened and looked at his brother, who hugged him and made him sit beside him.

"Mr.Ben, please meet my brother, Noah. Don't be afraid. I know you know these gentlemen,"

Noah nodded and looked at Ben.

"He is still recovering, so I beg if you can be calm and let him help you," said Mr.Willson.

We nodded in agreement. He reminded me of my Sarah the first few days she looked clueless.

I went closer to him and showed him the photo he had snapped of me and Alex.

"Noah, Thank you for this photo. Because of this photo, I got to know I had my Sarah before I met her at university,"

Noah looked at me and smiled,

"Congratulations, she was a gentle girl. Look at this, she put medicine on it," He said while showing a scar pretty old. I looked at Mr.Willson.

"Noah, listen to me ok, and take your time and explain why you send her those packages," said Mr.Willson.

"Yes Noah, please so you can help her feel better. And let me introduce you, this is Alex my best friend, who is here in this picture. Paul, is a CIA officer, Dave's best friend," I explained and introduced.

"Dave?" he looked at Mr.Willson.

"Do you remember uncle White's son? He is Dave,"

"Hmm... Where is he?"

"He has gone on a trip and won't come back soon,"

We realized now what was the matter with Noah. He has seen or heard something but forgotten.

"That day in the spring, I heard someone talking with a man in a suit. They wanted to kidnap the little girl, so I followed her,"

"Then?" i asked.

"Someone tried to attack her and I screamed as loud as I can,"

He twisted his eyes and continued.

"So Dave came and saved us. As I fell I got my hand wounded. So she put medicine,"

"Did you see who did this?" asked Paul.

"Hmm yes but I forgot the face,"

"Maybe some photos can refresh your mind, Noah," said Alex.

"I met that guy again, I guess he followed me," said Noah.

"Did you hear what they said?" I asked.

"They talked about asking for a ransom and company shares," said Noah.

"Noah had been suffering for a long time, and only recently did he starts to regain his memory. For the last three months, he had been gathering details related to what he went through especially with the accident he had," said Mr.Willson.

"Why did you want to find who did it?" asked Paul.

"I just wanted to ask him why he did it and for what purpose," Noah said looking straight at him.

"It's fair. I would also need answers if I was in the same situation," agreed Alex.

"Hmm, Noah, can you go through these photos and see if you can refresh your mind to remember the person," said Paul.

We gave some time to him. After a few moments, he selected three photos. He gave Paul two photos. Which made him look at us.

"Why?" asked Alex.

"You guys check these two," he said showing the photos.

We were out of words,

"Liam and his right-hand man Venom," said Alex.

Noah and Mr.Willson looked at us confused, so we explained everything up to now. After listening to all we said and informing them about our investigation, they agreed to help us further.
