Chapter 4

I'm here outside the cafe waiting for Taylor. Since she's around the area I've decided to accept her offer na sunduin at ihatid ako.

"Ay! Shit! Wag ka ngang tanga, Miss!"

Napalingon naman agad ako nun sa likod ko and then I saw Adriana and a girl na May hawak na kape.

"Sorry, sorry." Sabi ni Adriana dito. Ang babae naman parang galit na galit sa kanya.

"Jusko! Muntik na akong matapunan." Then umalis na ito.

Then she looked at my direction.

I wanted to ask if she's okay Pero wag na alam ko rin naman na isasagot niya Ay Oo Kahit hindi naman.

Beep.

Then a black Ferrari stopped in front of me.

"Hey, babe." And that's Taylor Uy, of course, she's a celebrity, a super model not here but also only in other countries, and also, she's rich.

"Hey."

"Hop in." Sabi nito.

Bahagya akong Napatingin nun kay Adriana, she's looking at us. Well, she knew about Taylor.

At dahil iisang kompanya lang kami, hindi talaga maiwasang mag kasabayan kami sa elevator ni Adriana.

Taylor Uy was known for being a proud LGBTQ, yep, she's bisexual.

"The girl looks familiar to me." Biglang Sabi ni Adriana. She knew Taylor's friends with RJ, minsan ko na kasing nadala si Adriana sa mga gala namin ni RJ kung saan saktong nanjan din si Taylor, and guess what, they hated each other, no, actually si Adriana lang ata ang ayaw kay Taylor, and Taylor loves teasing her by flirting with me because she knew and senses na selosa si Adriana. Adriana hated her for the fact na dati ko nang ka fling si Taylor.

Di ako umimik. Isa pa May mga kasama kami nun sa elevator.

Ting. Then the elevator opened at lumabas na ang ibang ksakay namin, naiwan kaming dalawa.

"Alam mo ba yang pinapasok mo?" Patuloy nito.

"She's a friend."

And she rolled her eyes in disgust. "God! I hate it when you say that. She's not your friend, friends don't kiss... and most of all, don't fuck each other."

Then the elevator opened at nauna na itong lumabas.

Agh! I really hate it when she acts as if she was jealous or what. Kasi sa totoo lang, wala naman na diba? Wala namang kami at wala naman talagang naging kami... eh ba't niya pinapakialaman.

Sumakay na ako sa front seat.

"Hey."

"Let me." Sabi nito while leaning at kuha ng seat belt. "Oh! Hey, Adriana, you're there pala!" Sabi nito kay Adriana.

Napatingin naman ako dito, damn, here she goes again, yep, she really loves teasing her.

"Wait lang, babe, huh, gonna lock this for you, I want you to be safe with me." Sabi nito na ang tinutukoy ay ang seat belt. "Right, Adri?"

And i saw Adriana rolled her eyes before turning her back on us.

And then Taylor laughed.

"That's not funny at all, Taylor!" Saway ko rito.

"What?! Sorry, okay? Yung mo ex kasi." Slang na Sabi nito, sa labas kasi Lumaki kaya Kahit na nakakapagsalita ng tagalog at nakakaintindi, di pa rin maiwasang May tono ang pananalita.

"Anyways, where to? Your place or mine?" She said as she drove away. "I missed you." Sabi nito Sabay hawak sa left leg ko. She just came back from a 2-week fashion show in Japan.

I looked at her. I've known Taylor for almost 5 years now, Kahit na di kami masyadong nag ha hang out kasi super busy nito sa career nito, but whenever she's back in Ph she always tried to make time to bond with me and RJ, yes, we flirt, we kiss, we ah you know but never serious with each other. Anyways, weboth don't like to be in a relationship, so wala yun kaso.

I laughed so hard after Taylor told me about her funny experience in Japan. Ahm, we decided na dito nalang sa condo ko dumiretso since di ko pwedeng iwang mag isa si Meiji, of course, mahal ko kaya aso ko. We just ordered a Filipino food and then ate here, Saka nanuod ng netflix and then cuddle and then this, chit chat.

Then she stopped and looked at me in the eyes. For a split second I could see sincerity in hers but then it vanished immediately. The main reason why komportable ako sa kanya, kasi pareho naming alam ang linya kung saan hanggang dun lang dapat kami. I don't want to ruin this friendship just like what I did before with Adriana.

Time check: 12:04 am

"No, you stay here, wag ka nang bumaba. Baka bukas nasa headline nanaman tayo." Sabi nito.

"Okay?"

Actually, kanina pa niya pansin ma merong nakasunod saming press, kaya nung bumaba kami, Pina suot niya ako ng hoody, then sya nag suot din.

"Good night." She said then kissed me in the lips.

"Good night." Sabi ko bago sinara ang pinto. Then I turned to Meiji, nakatingin ito sakin. "What, Meiji? That was a friendly kiss." Sabi ko. Meiji doesn't look happy upon seeing us kissed. "Anyways, tara na, maaga pa tayo bukas." Saka pumasok na sa kwarto.

15 minutes later ay tumunog naman ang doorbell ko.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

Baka May nakalimutan si Taylor kaya agad akong pumunta sa pinto at binuksan ito.

"Ano? May naka—" at parang umurong naman bigla ang dila ko upon seeing Adriana in front of me.

Then suddenly, a song played from my smart tv.

Agad naman akong napalingon nun kay Meiji, she's playing with the remote control, kya siguro nag play ang naka hang na music video sa smart tv ko.

"Meiji!" Saka Dali daling kinuha yun dito at pinaTay ang kanta.

"There's nothing wrong with it." Simpleng Sabi nito. "Hey! Meiji, come here, baby, I missed you." Agad namang tumakbo si Meiji papunta rito, Agad naman nitong kinarga ang aso, and yes, looks like sobrang na Miss nga sya ni Meiji, panay halik dito eh.

Well, Meiji knew her.

Flashback...

"So, mag isa ka lang dito, will you be okay here?" Adriana asked as she turned on the lights on my condo, feel at home masyado eh.

"Yep, don't worry about me." I said.

Dati kasi kasama ko ang pinsan ko dito sa condo, si ate Soren, but then she got married yesterday kaya ayun, mag isa nalang ako rito.

"I think not." Saka umupo ito sa sofa.

Tumawa ako. "What? Eh parang ang saya naman ata na walang kasama eh." Sabi ko.

"I have this feeling na mag da dala ka ng iba't ibang lalaki at babae dito."

At lalo akong natawa. Kumuha ako ng dalawang Heineken sa ref at binigay dito ang isa.

Tumingin ito sakin. "Wala akong tiwala sa'yo." Sabi nito Saka uminom. Then Maya Maya ay tumayo ito. "Teka. May naisip ako." Saka binalik sakin ang Heineken at nag lakad papunta sa pinto.

"Uy' Saan ka pupunta?"

"I'll be right back." Saka lumabas na ito.

After an hour and a half ay bumalik na ito.

Ding Dong!

"So Ano naman pala ang—" at napahinto ako when I saw a very very cute jack russel terrier puppy na hawak nito.

"Hi, mommy Z!" Sabi nito habang hinahawakan ang kamay ng puppy at ginagalaw na parang nag ha hi sakin.

"Oh My God! Ang cute!" Saka kinuha yun and guess what, the puppy wiggles her tail and also kissed me.

"Wow, she likes you already." Sabi nito.

Umupo ito sa counter habang masayang pinapanuod kami ng puppy na nag lalaro sa floor, napaka active.

"So, what would be her name?"

Napaisip ako. The puppy's a girl. Ano kaya maganda?

Then kumuha ito ng Meiji White chocolate sa loob ng ref.

"Here! Meiji!"

"What?! That sounds so Korean, Japanese, Chinese and even sounded like chocolate, no way!"

Tumawa ito Saka lumuhod. "Meiji? Meiji? You want that? Or nah?" But then the puppy ran to her. "Oh baby!" Saka hinalikhalikan ito ng puppy. "That would be your name from now on."

At napangiti nalang ako.

"Meiji, May sasabihin ako sayo. Bantayan mo tung nanay mo ha. Protect and love her at all cost. Because she would also do the same with you. And additional... a special mission, I-report mo sakin kung May babae o lalaki syang dinala dito ha, okay, baby?" And Meiji kept on wiggling as if she understood what Adriana said.

At napailing nalang ako. What a silly mission that is.

"What made you come here?"

She stopped and stood up and just looked at me.

"If you want to rant or brag about Taylor being here, well, umalis na sya." Sabi ko Saka tumalikod. "Meiji, come here." Then stopped. Kasi di sumunod si Meiji, nag pa belly rub pa kay Adriana. Aish! Ang hirap talaga pag sobrang mahal ng aso mo ang ex-fling mo, Anyways, si Adriana naman kasi tung bumili sa kanya.

She looked at me. "I just don't want you to be in trouble, that's all."

"Trouble? We're not even making any trouble."

"So, kaya pala everytime na mag kasama kayo ni Taylor eh May lumalabas na balita kinaumagahan."

"We're careful about it, wag ka nang mag alala. And also, pwede ka na ring makaka Alis."

Then bigla itong lumapit sakin and pinned me on my wall. Bigla namang kumabog ng todo ang dibdib ko. Godammit, for almost a year Ay never akong napalapit kay Adriana ng ganito ever since she ended everything about us.

Is she going to kiss me now? No! No way! I'm about to push her but then...

"I really hate it whenever I smell her perfume on you and see her lip tint on your lips." Sabi nito Sabay trapo ng daliri nito sa labi ko. Then she composed herself at tumalikod na, mukhang Aalis na nga. "I want you to know that I requested you to replaced Jenny on my team."

Napakunot noo naman ako nun. "What?"

"Jenny betrayed my team by selling our ideas and worse by showing our presentation to our company's opponent. The top management fired her kanina." Sabi nito. Ah so ito nga ata ang reason kaya sobrang stressed ito kanina. Then she opened the door. "I need you to report on my office first thing in the morning tomorrow." At lumabas na ito.

At naiwan akong naka tulala lang dun habang pinaprocess ang mga sinabi nito.
