Get Out Of The Way

Shen Bei stood up and was just about to go downstairs to look for Huo Man when he saw her walking towards a certain direction.

"Shen Bei, don't tell me you're going to look for her yourself?" Cao Chen asked in surprise as he followed behind him.

Shen Bei ignored his question and just rolled his eyes, "You stay here."

Having no choice but to obey, Cao Chen stopped in his tracks and just silently retreated back to his seat.

Huo Man didn't realize that she had fallen into Shen Bei's sight, since she was casually drinking an orange juice while not paying attention to her surroundings.

Soon, she saw White Bear in front of her.

Although he had his cap on and was also wearing a mask like her, Huo Man was able to recognize him due to her photographic memory. She instantly recognized him due to the way he walked.

"Huo Man, be careful."

As soon as Huo Man left her seat, she heard Tang Qin's voice in her earpiece.

He had already hacked into the bar's surveillance system and was observing everything that was happening around Huo Man.

"Roger," replied Huo Man. She quickened her pace to follow behind White Bear.

"Little sister, where are you in such a hurry to go? Why don't you have a drink with me instead?" Just as everything seemed to be going as planned, a drunk man appeared right in front of her. He ogled her from top to bottom before starting to flirt with her.

Huo Man already anticipated that she would encounter gangsters in this bar. 

When she was sitting at the bar, drinking her orange juice, she already felt a few licentious gazes fixated on her. 

"Get out of my way." Huo Man didn't want to get entangled with these kinds of men. She still had important things to do. She coldly rebuffed him.

Seeing that Huo Man wasn't agreeable, the man got even more interested. "Yo! You're quite the fierce one. Just my kind of woman!"

And as he spoke, the man started to reach out and grab her wrist.

However, before he could grab a gold on Huo Man, she had already counter-grabbed his finger and twisted it in the opposite direction.

The man never expected the little woman in front of him had such great strength.

Huo Man had only twisted it slightly, but he felt like his bone was about to break.

"I said move." Huo Man pulled harder, causing the man to stumble and kneel before her. She leaned in close to the man's ear and whispered this phrase like a demoness.

The man trembled. "B-boss, you can let me go. I-I know I was wrong…" he stammered.

Huo Man snorted and released the man. She raised her leg and gave him a kick too, before turning around to leave.

She took out some tissue from her pocket and seriously tried to wipe her hands clean. She felt dirty just touching such a man.

"Are you okay, Huo Man?" Tang Qin's voice came from the earpiece.

"I'm fine. It's just that… I lost him." Huo Man looked at the maze-like corridor in front of her, not knowing in which room White Bear went into.

"Don't worry. I'll tell you where White Bear is right now," Tang Qin replied calmly.

It wasn't difficult for Tang Qin to map out the floor plan of the bar because of the surveillance cameras.

He quickly sent directions to Huo Man's phone. She quickly took a look, memorized it, and then strode towards that direction.

However, she had only taken a few steps when she felt that someone was tailing her.

Huo Man didn't turn around though, opting to remain vigilant, but continued to walk forward.

As Tang Qin stared at his computer screen to ensure Huo Man's safety, the video feed suddenly turned dark. 

"Huo Man, I can't see the surveillance feed anymore, so someone must have secretly disconnected me. Be careful." The always calm Tang Qin, for once, sounded worried.

"I'm still fine," Huo Man casually replied.

She walked past one private room after another, trying to determine White Bear's location from the subtle sounds coming from inside, and at the same time, keeping tabs on the movements behind her.

In this large and increasingly noisy bar, danger was like a beast in the dark, lying in ambush, ready to strike at any time.

As she passed a certain room, she suddenly heard White Bear's voice.

'This is it! This is the place!'

In for a penny, in for a pound. Huo Man lifted her leg and kicked open the door.
