Something's wrong

Aurora tossed and turned on the bed as she let out a groan. Why was she so worried about him? He was a grown man and a demigod at that, he probably couldn't have fallen sick because she has stressed him….. could he?

She groaned loudly as she sat up straight. She couldn't get Xavier out of her mind and what she wanted to do at that moment was run down to his cave and make sure he was okay but Leo had said he didn't want to be disturbed.

Was she a disturbance to him now? Ughhh, she was starting to overthink again!

She laid on the bed for a while then sat up with a huff before climbing out of bed. She was just going to check up on him and be right back in her room. She won't bother him or anything, she just wanted to make sure he was okay.

"Yeah right" She heard her wolf mutter sarcastically in her head which made her roll her eyes.

Aurora immediately had her bath then worn on one of her most beautiful gowns her father had gotten her on one of his travels. She had never won it anywhere before because there was never an occasion for it but now…

She turned to stare at herself in the mirror and smiled.

After her kiss with Xavier, she didn't want him to see her as a hag. She needed to look stylish and presentable to him.

She immediately sat down by her dresser and decided to put on a little lipstick and brush her hair properly. As she stared at herself in the mirror, her insecurities began seeping in.

What if he didn't even notice or rather, didn't even care? She was sure he must have seen way more beautiful girls than her back in his realm. She didn't even amount to their beauty.

"What was I thinking?" She muttered as she yanked her out of frustration. She raised up her head slightly then stared at herself in the mirror again before taking in a deep breath.

"You are beautiful and perfect and if Xavier doesn't see that then who cares?" She cared. She cared more than she would like to admit.

She groaned as she stood up from the chair and paced her room floor. Maybe she shouldn't go?

"You are already dressed, just fucking go already" She heard her wolf mutter and she sighed. She took a deep breath then gave herself a thumbs up through the mirror before walking out of her room.

Her heart was pounding nervously as she thought of several ways Xavier would react to her. Was he going to compliment her? Knowing Xavier, he probably won't compliment her but the look in his eyes would tell her if he thought she looked nice or not.

"There she is! I thought you said she was on bed rest?" Aurora raised her head to the sound of an unknown woman's voice and furrowed her eyebrows when she saw a man, a woman and a guy who looked to be around her age, standing in the living room with her parents.

They were all staring at her and Aurora didn't fail to see the guilty look on her mother's face but she brushed it off.

"She was supposed to be but we are glad she's here now. Come here honey and meet the Addams from the neighboring pack" Nikolas uttered as he outstretched his hand towards her.

Aurora threw him a questioning look but nevertheless, smiled at the Addams before taking her father's hand.

"Nice to meet you, Alpha and Luna Addams" The woman smiled at her then turned to the guy.

"What a beauty, don't you agree?" The guy, Sebastian, nodded and the look he gave her made chills run down her spine.

"Yes she is, mother. I'm glad you don't look like the description I heard of you, milady" He reached out for her hand and placed a kiss on her palm.

Without thinking, she retracted her hand so quickly like she had been burnt and tried her best not to grimace. Instead, she masked it up with a smile that was obviously fake.

"Thank you. Mother, father, I was just about to go for a walk so if you'll excuse me…" She tried walking away but her father's hold on her hand was firm.

"Where do you think you're going, young lady? You should be eager to spend time with your future husband and get to know him better before the wedding" Aurora immediately froze after hearing what the woman said.

"Wedding? Husband?" She questioned as she turned to her parents. Her father raised his chin with no form of remorse on his face while her mother couldn't even meet her eyes.

"Oh, wasn't she informed? We have been talking about this wedding for months now" Mr Addams suddenly spoke, earning a laugh from Nikolas.

"You know she's sick so she tends to forget some things. Aurora, why don't you go spend some time with Sebastian and get to know him better?" Aurora frowned.

"I'm sorry but I have somewhere to…"

"Aurora, Now" Her father muttered as he flashed her a stern look. She stared at him for a while then bit her lower lips to stop the tears from flowing down before turning to Sebastian.

"Shall we talk on the balcony?"

"I have been sitting here for the past few hours and I don't think I've seen your eyes leave that door. What are you waiting for? Your little wolf?" Paxton muttered as he stared at Xavier with a raised eyebrow but Xavier didn't even spare him a glance.

"She should be here by now" Xavier muttered with furrowed eyebrows.

"And how do you know that?" Xavier frowned.

"I just do and for some reason, I can't get into her head. It must be because I'm tired…"

"Or it might be because she's not thinking of you. Did you think of that possibility?" Xavier turned to him with a glare and Paxton immediately shut up.

"There's no way that's possible because she thinks of me even when she sleeps. There's something wrong. The only time I can't get into her head is when something's wrong" Paxton stared at him for a while then laughed.

"Wow, never thought I'd see the day that Xavier would care for something this much. You didn't even care for Ki…"

"Don't you fucking dare say her name" Xavier boomed so hard that the cave walls shook.

"Okay okay, relax. Jeez" Paxton muttered with wide eyes.

"Go check up on Aurora and make sure she's okay" Paxton frowned.

"But why do I have to…"

"Now!"

"Yes sir" Paxton immediately changed into a bee, leaving Xavier there to his thoughts.

Could she probably not be thinking about him?

He hated the way the thought of that made his chest uncomfortable…
