The skies gradually darkened. Mei Feng stood outside the towering metal gate staring at the locked door, still stunned and in a daze.

This had been her home, but now she couldn't even step inside.

She raised her hand and wanted to knock on the door, but she knew there was no one inside.

This courtyard that was full of life and vitality, this house for which she had struggled so many years to fill with her presence… They were no longer hers.

Why was this ending so different from what she had imagined it to be?
