Chapter 4: A Tiger Hunter.

" Nee-Naw, Nee-Naw, Nee-Naw."The loud noisy and anxious voice of the siren sounded. An ambulance along with two police cars arrived. Policemen with pistols got out and ran inside an abandoned building.Inside the building, everything was chaotic. There were several pieces of stuff lying around broken. It was probably because of some people fighting. Further inside in a very hidden passage, some small voices were coming. Inside that passage, a basement was found. It was a bit dirty but no one had the time to care about that. In that basement, you could find suspicious weapons which were stained with blood. More importantly, there was an ugly stench of blood. One could only imagine what happened by seeing all the equipment. They were all torture equipment. In the mid of this mess, a person stood in the dark. Her face couldn't be clearly seen but her stature was intimidating. It was full of strength. She was wearing custom-made black pants and a grey sports jacket. She had branded sports shoes and her neck-length straight hair was tied up in a small ponytail. She wore a cap and stood alone in the middle of the basement. The voices from here would be hard to hear outside and it would probably take time for her colleagues to find her. She was alone in the tiger's den but she was a tiger hunter so she couldn't leave without her prey yet. Slowly, her hand went inside her jacket and she took out a concealed Glock pistol. Her grey eyes were very alert as they silently searched for their prey. Not the slightest noise went by without her notice. She walked carefully without making noise with her gun. She observed the blood and weapons around her. She noticed the marks on the walls. She couldn't find anything else but she was sure that the killer came in. She was a hundred per cent sure as she followed him secretly and this was clearly his den so he should be there. He could be hiding somewhere to attack her. However, killers like him are very smart and hide their whereabouts very well. He might have another hidden place in here but she wasn't sure if it was somewhere inside this room or outside. After thinking about it, she thought about knocking on the walls and the grounds to find out if there is a hidden room inside here but she couldn't afford to alert the culprit as there could be more victims who are still alive with him. She had to be careful and catch him off guard so that she could catch him with minimum casualties. She saw a newspaper lying around and got an idea. She picked up the newspaper and took out a lighter. She slightly burned the paper and smoke came out of it. She didn't close the lighter to see the smoke. The dim light of fire from the lighter glowed in the room with her shadow. She went around the room with the newspaper near the ceiling and walls but the smoke didn't get sucked in anywhere. The smoke was beginning to fill this empty room and it was getting hard not to inhale. She tried to stop herself from coughing. That's when she noticed the smoke slightly getting sucked into a corner of the ground. She walked near there and moved the dust and sand with her feet. As expected, she saw a steel door under the floor. She didn't expect that there would be another basement inside a basement. However, she was glad she didn't miss him because they would have alerted the enemy. They would be out in the light while the enemy is still hidden in the dark. She switched off the lighter and threw away the newspaper after extinguishing the fire. Then she held the pistol tightly and slowly opened the steel door. However, it seemed to be locked from the inside. Eliza looked up. Her grey eyes flashed with darkness. She had a scary look in her eyes. The voice of the sirens was loud. The criminal might already be alerted. Moreover, there was no other option than to break the door. Eliza stood up and looked deeply at the door. Her hands raised with the gun and she shot." Bang."She deduced the place where the lock was and shot it from outside. Her shot was so accurate that the lock broke from the inside. She quickly opened the door and saw a steep staircase. She walked down alertly with the gun. She began to hear inaudible noises mixed with footsteps. It was dim and she couldn't see clearly. When the staircase ended, she entered a room. She couldn't see clearly but sensed the surroundings. She heard clear voices coming from the room. Someone was moving around but it was coming from three directions. There should be victims here too. She didn't act carelessly and waited. Then she felt a presence coming closer and closer. She stayed near the wall to be safe. And then, suddenly...
